We had a great time and looking forward to coming back! The host was very friendly and accommodating, and at the same time very discreet. The house, garden and pool were spotless. The view was great and the house perfectly situated, close to markets, beaches and sightseeings by car. Our 8-year old had a great time in the pool, which was height-appropriate. Every room had its own balcony. Overall a great experience, definitely recommended!

We stayed at the villa for a 30th birthday , there was a group of 11 of us including children. The villa was beautiful and had everything we needed. The rooms were spotless and had plenty of space. All the rooms had aircon which was great. The pool was amazing and everyone had a great time . We booked a private chef for the birthday meal to come to the villa and it was really nice to be able to celebrate and have someone cook for us without having to go out. The outdoor kitchen space we used everyday from breakfast till dinner as it was such an amazing space by the pool. The hosts were super helpful and any questions we had or requests they answered really quickly. The welcome gifts and cinnamon buns on departure morning were a lovely touch. Would recommend anyone to stay here , you won’t be disappointed.

Beautiful stay at Villa Marae, exactly as in the pictures the villa is spacious, modern and welcoming with all amenities you could need, we felt right at home for the entire week. All the bedrooms have spacious wardrobes and plenty of hangers, all with en-suite bathrooms, good quality bath towels and beach towels, comfortable beds. The outside space is serene, with views of the ocean and some beautiful sunsets too. Welcomed at the villa by the owner Maria, who shown us around, provided a welcome basket and also some other shopping essentials as we arrived very late. She also met us when leaving to say goodbye with a Cretan gift as souvenir. The personal touch was lovely. Etouri Team are very responsive to queries, recommendations and we found them super helpful. High-quality bed mattresses — there was an earthquake and my friend slept through it I highly recommend this stunning villa to anyone looking for a relaxing, quality getaway with their loved ones. It’s conveniently located halfway between Heraklion and Chania (about an hour’s drive to each), it features a pool overlooking the ocean, and each room has its own bathroom and a balcony furnished with a coffee table and chairs or a sofa — perfect for enjoying the sunrise or sunset with a cup of coffee! PS: the beds were so incredibly comfortable that during an actual earthquake on our last night, my friend didn’t even feel the earth shake lol.
