Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Maggie Valley

The cabin is just outside of Maggie Valley in a secluded area. It was quiet and peaceful. Only a few minutes to MV, which was very convenient. We were able to bring our dogs with us because part of the yard was fenced. Added plus.

This was a lovely place and exactly what I wanted!! The dog door and fenced in area was enough to convince my boyfriend that he needs to install one at his place. The view on the deck was incredibly peaceful! John was super friendly and helped with anything we needed. I worked “remotely” while I was there and no issues with the Wi-Fi! There were lots of nice little touches in the house and the bed was comfortable. Thank you!

The house is absolutely beautiful. Carved into the side of a mountain. Very last house at the top. The view absolutely beautiful! The host Ed is great guy and very accommodating. Only thing I would say is if getting there for the 1st time it would be best before dark because of the road going up is dark in places and it on a mountain. The view alone is worth the price. 😁 We will be back!!

Brenda's place is fantastic - cute, clean, peaceful, and well stocked with everything I needed. It's a short walk to the lake, which is beautiful. Brenda was on top of communication and allowed us a late checkout. I would definitely stay again.

It was a lovely cottage to stay at the host was very professional very quick at responding. The house was spotless and very nice. Super cozy place. Very close to town but quiet would definitely recommend staying here.

Beautiful setting and easy quick drive to downtown. The private little house is perfectly nestled in with little noise from anything other than nature. The house is spacious and plenty of room for 2 to 4 people. Nice front porch for sitting and enjoying the quiet and nature sounds.

Exceeded my expectations. Although there are neighbors on all sides, it still felt pretty private. Absolutely loved the small creek running through the backyard. Beautiful landscaping surrounding the house. This was a wonderful cabin experience. You can tell this property is well loved because of the thought that went into the decor and the care of it. Would definitely love to stay here again.

Felt right at home for our weekend getaway. Was able to accommodate enough parking for our 2 trucks and 20 ft trailer. Absolutely loved this place and will likely book again in the future.

We enjoyed our stay. Rodney and Dulcy were very accommodating. Their apartment is conveniently close to a relative we were visiting in Woodfin.

This was such a lovely Airbnb! Squeaky clean, walkable to beautiful Lake Junaluska and just a few minutes to hiking and downtown Waynesville. You can really tell Steve and Susie want their guests to have a five star stay with so many thoughtful touches such as bottled water, coffee, tea, half and half, biscotti’s card games and an abundance of books and guides about the area. There was a private table and chairs outside for a glass of wine or a meal which we loved and the bed was so comfortable. We visit this area often and we are so glad we have found our home away from home in Waynesville. Thank you Steve and Susie for hosting us! Blessings, Steve and Amy

We spent 3 days at Dawn and Ron’s Asheville home. Their space was very clean, smelled nice, and had every convenience you could possibly need. Unfortunately it was rainy during our trip so we didn’t take advantage of the outdoor amenities like the patio/grill or the goats, but they did greet us with wagging tails as we came and went! Loved the waffle bar and complimentary coffee - such nice touches that made breakfast a breeze! Also loved that they provided toiletries and washer/dryer. This space provided all the comforts of home, about 15 minutes to all the AVL activities. Dawn and Ron were very communicative and kind hosts. Would recommend their home to anyone!

This is my second time staying at this fantastic spot, and it was just as great as the first. They are wonderful hosts, the place is a real hidden gem, and the community has so much to offer. It certainly won't be my last time here!

This was the most well thought out and equipped Airbnb that we have ever stayed at! Don thought of everything you could possibly need or want! Water bottles on every table, snacks and an amazing coffee bar, an LED full length mirror in both bedrooms! A well stocked bathroom with everything you could need, just in case you forgot something. Corn hole, board games, glow in the dark gold putting green, jacuzzi and don't get me started on that breathtaking view! Truly, the most well planned Airbnb! This was the perfect location to bring our daughter up for WCU orientation. I'm so glad I already booked for her move in weekend in August! We will always stay here, if it's available, when we come and visit her at school. Such a perfect stay!

We were in town for a wedding and traveling 7.5 hours to get there the stay was absolutely amazing! It rained while we were there on Friday but we enjoined sitting on the porch with blankets listening to the rain fall on the tin roof! We enjoyed watching the neighbors horses that would come to the fence to visit and we enjoyed watching the chickens beside the house ( don’t worry they are all quiet as well). We ended up being a party of three traveling with a 14 year old boy who never once said he was bored he spent his time on the swings outside and petting the horses! I highly recommend this place it is close to town, nice quiet location, easy driveway, no steps to climb and peaceful! The House is very clean, beds are comfy even the couch bed sleeps well per the 14 year old. The Host is very friendly and made sure we had absolutely everything that we needed! Super cute house. The house is walkable to main street that has tons of sweet local shops and restaurants. The house was clean and so cute. It was quaint and quiet and we felt right at home. Honestly we couldn’t have hoped for anything better

I have lived in a lot of places over the past year while traveling for school, and this was the best of the bunch. Everything was great, including a clean comfortable space, available toiletries, efficient appliances, simple check in and out, amazing 10/10 mountain view.

A great find close to everything in Gatlinburg! Comfortable beds, quiet at night. Temperature was perfect as they had two AC units. Free, easy parking. The unit was stylishly decorated and ww loved the full size mirrors! We visited Anakeesta and Skypark all in one day as well as the Great Smokey Mountains National Park.

This was a really great spot if you like to be right at the action of Gatlinburg! very clean and quiet! we will definitely be back!

Keith’s condo is a treasure! It’s a beautiful and thoughtfully designed space. My friends and I stayed here after visiting the synchronous fireflies in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We arrived well after dark, but Keith’s directions made it easy. The condo itself is beautifully decorated. The window bed downstairs has a firm mattress and I slept great. The bed in the loft has a soft mattress topper—my friends said it was like sleeping on a cloud. Come morning, we were stunned by the gorgeous views from each side of the condo. This is a special place that I definitely recommend! Keith was also easy to communicate with. I left a prescription cream behind, and he took the time to reach out to see if I needed it. I appreciated that attentiveness.

We LOVED our stay! We were already looking at available dates for later in the year on our trip home. Space had everything we needed (be sure to bring shampoo/soap/etc). We felt right at home! Decor was so cute and cozy! Mattress was so comfy that I messaged to ask about what kind it was so that we could potentially buy one for home! Firm memory foam. We all (husband, son, and myself) slept like babies! Pools (indoor and outdoor) were great for our 8yo. We LOVE staying at this location when we come in specifically for Dollywood. We buy a day pass for the trolley and it’s the last stop (less than 2 minutes to Dollywood) on the way to Dollywood, and the 1st stop on the way back! Being this close is easy to come back home and rest during the day when the lines get too long (around 2:30-3), then head back around 5 when they start to die back down. Super close to tons of restaurants and fun things to do. We had no issues during our stay, and hope to be back very soon!

The space was clean and the hosts had clear instructions. The bed was very comfortable. Nice location as well; you can walk to restaurants in Gatlinburg.

The views are stunning. We felt right at home from the moment we arrived. So much that we stayed at the condo one day. We played the games and enjoyed the beauty of the mountains. The condo is extremely well stocked. Much better than others that I’ve stayed in. We LOVED the coffee bar. We did have 2 sightings of bears while there! Apparently one took a walk around my car. Lisa went out of her way to make her condo a great 'home away from home' experience. She was very personable and it was obvious that she loved being a great host, after all, she is great at it! We don't travel a lot, so it was very important to us that this was going to be a memorable experience. It was that, and more. I won't hesitate to make a return visit.
