Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Loch Ness

Great place to stay, at high tide you feel like your right on the firth and at low tide there is a lot of area to walk. It's quite and peaceful, and was the perfect place for me and my family to relax whilst we explored Inverness, Loch Ness and the highlands

One of my favorite AirBnB locations we’ve ever stayed in! The natural light and back windows looking out to the Cairngorms were stunning. Not only is this home beautifully designed, but it has everything you need and is just minutes away from walking and biking trails. We found it to be the perfect location to have as a home base for taking day trips throughout the Highlands.

Everything was great and as described. Heather was very responsive to enquiries we had before we stayed. We booked Heather's place for some family members to stay in while attending our wedding just up the road and it was ideal for our needs. Thank you!

This property has everything you could ever want in a break away with family and friends. Quiet and secluded while still be closer enough to Drum for a night out or supplies. The house was really well done with a homely feel that set you at ease straightaway. Being able to relax by the river and having a huge garden to relax in were the highlight for me. But the best part of this trip was Kay herself. Full of local recommendations and very responsive, we never struggled for things to do. Also her little touches were fantastic. The best host I've ever had while staying in Airbnb's!! Would stay with her again in a heartbeat

Katie’s charming home near the red castle ruins was an absolute dream! From the moment we arrived, we felt wrapped in peace and magic. The cottage was beautifully kept, fully stocked, and incredibly comfortable—every detail thoughtfully arranged to make us feel at home. The setting is something out of a storybook. Waking up next to the historic ruins and soaking in the beauty of the surroundings was unforgettable. The hot tub was a highlight, especially after a day of travel. Our kids were thrilled with the darts and ping pong, and everyone slept like a dream—so quiet, so cozy. If Scotland weren’t so far away, we’d be back in a heartbeat. This may be the only trip we ever take as a family to Scotland, and we’re beyond grateful that Katie’s magical cottage was part of our journey. Thank you for everything!

This home was amazing. Just what we needed to use as a base for our Ben Nevis climb. Owner super helpful and friendly. Her little welcome pack was so thoughtful and everything we needed was there. Such a beautiful please to stay with the sheep, deer and mountains to see out the window. Perfect.

Beautiful views and property. We felt right at home and would come back in a heartbeat. There were so many cute and beautiful things in the house and basically everything you need and then some more. We also saw deers visit the gardens and had a beautiful time overall,

Sian's house is lovely. Very clean and comfortable with very good outdoor sitting area/garden. It's very convenient for the village and local sites. Walkable to Urquhart Castle. Co-op and Italian restaurant just around the corner. Lovely pizza at the Italians. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Although a little expensive, the views, and being in an Abbey was an amazing experience. We had plenty of room and the apartment had everything we needed including tea! The canal locks were a thrilling surprise to watch when going for coffee or ice cream. Loch Ness cruise was beautiful. Everything you could need from coffee to restaurants and gift shops to convenience store all walking distance but very quiet complex with a city link bus stop 5-6 minute walk to explore the highlands.

Great location to serve as a hub to travel throughout the day, then return in the evening hours to loads of restaurants with great live music (Highlander) and story telling (sèomar). Breakfast was perfect at Rendezvous.

great stay. lovely and very beautiful property. kitchen, rooms , bathroom etc are very clean. she has a lovely garden as well. Ruth is a thoughtful host and very welcoming. she has provided all the required information for the stay. stay is definitely worth for what you pay.

What a fantastic stay! The most beautiful cottage with everything we needed, even some breakfast for our first morning. The setting was magical and so many stunning walks around. We will definitely be back! Elizabeth was so kind in showing us all we needed to know and providing information about must see's in the area. We also loved little Mindy who came for cuddles :)

The Apartment in Highland Council was very nice and clean! There were also plenty of towels! The highlight was the beautiful, modern bathroom with the wonderful shower with a full enclosure door and a niche to place your shampoos, etc. Believe us when we say this is a plus in the UK! The water pressure and the hot water was also a plus. Again, this is not always the case in the UK! The apartment was quiet even though it is situated right by a road. The parking is by its back door/patio entrance which is by the market parking lot. We entered and exited from this door during our stay, and used the market parking near the back gate. The kitchen is adorable and functional, but it’s small. It has a very small refrigerator, so small amounts of groceries are best to buy if you’re cooking in. There were some staples available for use, a coffee maker and a kettle. The washer dryer was definitely a plus!

Location, location, location is what this place offers. Just a block from any activities you wish to have in Inverness. It’s in a quiet location and a easy walk to restaurants, bars and shops. A plus was to have a parking permit to park right out the front door.

We had a great stay at Elaines. It was in a perfect location and so easy to walk everywhere, plus she has a parking pass that we used.

Wonderful seafront apartment with amazing views, just as described. Very clean, well appointed and central to everything in Oban. Hope to return one day!

We had a lovely time in Inverness in Jills appartment. It was the perfect size for two people, clean and had everything you needed for the stay.

This place was just like the description. The location is very walkable, but out of the busy tourist center so it’s very quiet. Everything I needed was provided, which made the stay very easy. I would stay here again if I visit Inverness again.

Easy to follow instructions everywhere you might need them. Great book to learn about the area and to get recommendations. Amazing communication and we look forward to coming back in the future

The space was overall great. The pamphlets in the manual were extremely helpful and there was so much to do so close to the flat.

Rosey’s place was absolutely perfect, clean, and fully stocked with everything we needed. We had our privacy, plenty of room for parking, and a beautiful view. The patio was sprinkled with beautiful plants and plenty of lounge seating to enjoy the view. Rosey also washed our laundry and returned it folded and clean to us in a timely manner. I wish we would’ve booked this part of our stays longer!
