Lake house holiday rentals in Loch Ness

Very nice apartment to stay, we all had our own beds and they were very comfortable. Kitchen was good equipped, hot tub was very nice and the living room as well. The location was easy to find, a bit of a ride to Isle of Skye but totally fine! Would definitely recommend it :)

Located right next to Black-watch bar/hotel at the top of the town. Easy walk to Menzies castle, fun walk to the Birks, and it was made even better by the once a month market we got to stop in and buy fresh local goods to cook with and artisans to buy keepsakes. Wonderful place and would love to stay here again!!!

The lodge was unbelievably beautiful and the pictures don’t do it justice. Felt like a dream and the host was great. Made sure we had what we needed for a peaceful and pleasant stay. Probably one of the best views we’ve had while enjoying our breakfast. Would absolutely recommend East Lodge and will have to come back

We spent a wonderful week at Hollybank with our kids & extended family. Hollybank is situation in a beautiful Glen - it’s remote, peaceful & set amongst a stunning backdrop of mountains. We loved: - The peaceful area - Spacious/modern house - Well equipped kitchen - STUNNING views!

We had a fantastic 5-night stay in this beautiful cottage. Our group of five adult males found it to be the perfect base for exploring Ullapool and the surrounding Highlands. The location is ideal — just a 2–3 minute drive or a 20-minute walk into the centre of Ullapool. We did both during our stay. The views from the cottage are absolutely stunning. We were lucky enough to catch a rainbow over breakfast on our final morning. Angus was a great host — readily available whenever we needed anything. The cottage is also filled with incredible photographs of the Highlands taken by Angus himself, showcasing his impressive adventures and mountain climbs. They added a really personal and inspiring touch to the space. Highly recommend this place, and we're keen to return!

Lovely, well kept and presented home. Everything you need. Close to town (easy walk) and great walks nearby. Short drive to the base of Ben Nevis. Recommend the Larder Cafe, next to the Highland Soap Co. Only about 15 minutes walk. Great food!

Beautiful views overlooking the loch. Very peaceful and quiet location. Great base for exploring the highlands. House was lovely and clean, very comfy beds and had everything we needed for our stay. Host was friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend.

We had a great few days at Catherine’s lovely place by Loch Rannoch. So peaceful and quiet! Great views over the loch and good local trails for walking, running and gravel biking. Will definitely be on the list for a return visit!

We loved our stay. We had come to celebrate our son’s second birthday with his grandparents. And we felt just right at home. A peaceful surrounding and a cottage that was equipped with all amenities. My toddler had enough space to run around while my parents could enjoy the views. We could go down to Fort Augustus easily which was beautiful. We cooked in and the kitchen was well equipped with all what you need. Special call out for the coffee machine - something I enjoyed every morning.

We stayed here for new year with extended family. There were 10 of us and we were very comfortable. Beautiful surroundings and walks. A great location to explore the area.

We spent 10 unforgettable days in this house. It’s far from roads and city noise — total peace and quiet. The nearest small shop is about 15 minutes away by car. The place is incredibly scenic: a deer came into the yard, birds are singing everywhere, and there’s a beautiful lake nearby, especially magical in the evenings. The house itself is very cozy and clearly made with love. The interior is thoughtful to the smallest detail — you can tell a talented designer worked here. Everything is beautiful, comfortable, and feels like home. In the evenings, we lit the fireplace and enjoyed the flames and the lake view through the windows — truly peaceful. The hosts responded very quickly to all our questions and requests, which we really appreciated. We sincerely recommend this place to anyone living in a big city, tired of the noise and rush. It’s perfect for a real reset.

Amazing cottage that is well equipped with everything you would need. The grounds are beautiful and well kept and the additional access to the facilities in the Abbey is such a delight. Everything is close by and for outdoor adventures you cannot have a better base. We loved it!
