We spent an enjoyable 3 weeks in this very old cottage which has been tastefully and sympathetically restored keeping its original low beams and features. Sydenham is a charming Oxfordshire village very close to the Chilterns. It’s an ideal place to explore from. There are lovely walks and views. It’s an easy drive to the market town of Thame and other thatched villages, many of which appear in Midsomer Murders. The Crown opposite provides pub meals and has a lovely garden.

We had a great stay at the loft! Lots of space inside and the hot tub was lovely for the evenings. Not an issue for us, but there is a lot of road noise! We’d happily stay here again.

Yvonne was a lovely host. I enjoyed the stay at the little cottage very much. Is super cozy and pretty. Watlington is a lovely little town and I will definitely come back. Thank you Yvonne!
