First of - Kathy’s Kottage offers a uniquely private, warm and inviting detached cottage. We are not a huge commercial venture, but owned, operated, maintained, and cleaned by hosts who live within 150 yards. The Kottage is our only offering. We charge a cleaning fee of $35 a stay, so there isn't a list of chores at check out. We take up to 4 hours between every stay to extensively clean and disinfect every surface. We are proud of the Kottage as shown in every review over the last four years.

Stay downtown near restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, and shows. Only a few blocks from the Granada and Library. Just 1 mile to the KU campus and 2 miles to I-70. The guesthouse has a tile entry with one flight of carpeted stairs. The kitchen has white cabinetry with Silestone countertops, a microwave, range, dishwasher, and refrigerator. The laundry area has a washer, dryer, and a tankless water heater. The bath has a white vanity with Silestone counter, and sun tunnel.

Barker Avenue Rental

Enjoy a quiet stay in the unique Barker neighborhood. The property, a second floor apartment, with its own outside entrance, has a deep, open backyard with gardens and a patio. The apartment has been recently renovated with literary and Lawrence themes, and offers a short walk to the 1900 Barker Bakery, and is close to downtown, the East Lawrence Arts District, Allen Fieldhouse, and the KU campus. An ideal space to relax and work remotely, while you explore Lawrence.

I hope you enjoy staying at my place as much as I enjoy hosting. This cozy cottage was my first home, in which I recently updated. It is equipped with a full kitchen, single bathroom, washer and dryer, flat screen TV equipped with 100 mbps and Amazon Firestick and cable TV with 70 plus channels. In temperate months, I have a large fenced-in backyard and back deck for use. If you need anything at all, I am a phone call or message away.

Beautiful second story apparent in a small commercial building tucked into the North Lawrence neighborhood, just a stones throw from downtown Lawrence and the Kansas River. Trail access for cycling, walking or running are right out the back door along the Kansas River Levee and the Lawrence River Trail, a ~10 mile single track trail along the wooded north shore of the river.
