Monthly Rentals in Langton Herring

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful and very peaceful cottage. Hidden away in the idyllic Dorset countryside, there’s plenty to do from various walks, throwing pebbles at Chesil Beach, or just relaxing in the garden. If you’re lucky to get clear skies make sure you catch the stars, absolutely mind blowing. Jackie and Frank were away during our stay, and unfortunately we had some issues with the shower but they did everything they could to get it fixed. There’s not many places to eat out that are within walking distance but the cottage has all the equipment to cook and have a cosy night in. We’d totally recommend Daniels Fish and Chips in Chickerell, the best we’ve had and super friendly staff. This is a perfect location if you want to visit Durdle Door, Isle of Portland, Weymouth or Lyme Regis. The swannery is worth a visit to see the cygnets too if you have young children. As for the spiders and wood lice, you do get used to them.

We had a brilliant stay over Easter. The house is set up so well with everything you need for your stay. The owners were really helpful and friendly and there is a book with information about the farm, the house and everything available. Our kids loved seeing all the animals and being able to feed the goats. It was such a comfortable place to stay with kids (high chair, potty and travel cot all available). And such a peaceful setting. Highly recommend to anyone and we’ll hopefully be back!

The perfect home away from home for a few days 😊 the location is beautifully secluded, with a gorgeous garden and drivable to Weymouth and other local beauty spots. Louisa is a lovely host adding a couple of little extras on our arrival and allowing flexibility on our check out. Would highly recommend!

Fabulous cottage, very well equipped, comfortable bed, great shower, very peaceful. We enjoyed the log fire in the evenings and cows heads popping over the fence in the mornings. The lovely touches, fresh flowers, coal, logs and a hospitality tray with biscuits and chocolate. Great location, we had some beautiful coastal walks from the cottage, Peanut and Darcy enjoyed themselves! We'll definately be coming again!
