Cottage holiday rentals in Lanark

Lakeside Cottage is beautiful, peaceful, steeped in history & easy to access once you know where it is, we drove past it 3 times lol. We were greeted with gorgeous fresh flowers in each room & a very tasty bottle of prosecco. Most Definitely will be going back at some point in the near future & can't recommend it enough as a quiet getaway - listening to the river Ayr was blissful!!

Incredible views around Elie, the coast and golf course. The property is highly specced and we could not be happier with our visit. Fiona provides clear instructions on how to access the property. Will definitely be back!!

Beautiful little cottage. Loads to do without leaving the front door including hot tub, fire and BBQ. Area and garden is stunning! Jane was very helpful and communicative on check in and check out, very friendly! Clean and as described in photos.

Our stay lived up to high expectations. Ainslie went over and above with decorations for my boyfriend’s birthday; welcome notes; homemade cake; fizz and ice in the fridge. She was warm and welcoming, and we felt completely relaxed. So grateful for such a lovely stay in a beautiful area. We will definitely be back! Thank you Ainslie 🥰🤩🥳

An absolute stunning break, our third time here. A quiet, comfortable home and a spectacular garden space for my autistic son to be himself, and my 3 Chihuahuas felt like they were in heaven. The hot tub was well used, even my elderly mum had a go. We had some lovely visits to the surrounding areas but mostly enjoyed the rest and relaxation that we all needed. We can’t wait to come back again.

We loved our stay! The views were wonderful. The host and surrounding people are so welcoming. 10/10. The brownies and champagne are truly an adorable touch.

We absolutely loved staying at the cottage. This was our third place during our Scotland trip and I am so glad we booked it. It allowed us to explore more nature scenes across Scotland and simply have a safe and comfortable home after exploring all day. If we are ever in Scotland again, we will certainly book again.

Absolutely loved my 2 night stay, felt like I was in complete luxury ✨️ Was spotless, modern, amazing bathroom & facilities! Bed was so comfortable, hot tub was easy to heat, the little on site pub was brilliant fun!

Absolutely perfect. Not a single thing you could want for…..every need is catered for. Loved the welcome package of bread, spreads and the most delicious fudge ever. Beautiful location. An absolute gem in the forest. Loved our stay. Fabulously presented.

We stayed at Hayley's place for a couple of nights to break up a long journey home from the outer hebrides. The home is really tastefully designed and decorated and we felt relaxed and comfortable from the moment we walked through the door. The one issue we did have was resolved immediately for ys us. Thanks Hayley for a lovely place.

The house was beautiful and the direct access to the beach was a lovely bonus. The village has a great, dog friendly, pub and cafe which was perfect for us.

Had a wonderful stay at Braco. The cottage is in a lovely location and very spacious. The bedrooms were beautiful and the beds were so comfortable. Would love to stay here again.

We had a great stay, location was perfect, a short walk into town and easy to ride into the mountain biking trails. The property was clean and well furnished and had everything we needed. Hosts were great before the stay sending over useful information before we arrived. Would definitely stay here again!

Our stay at Foulbog was idyllic! The cottage and surroundings were beautiful. Lindsay was a great host and we would highly recommend a stay here!

Peel lodge was just a perfect stay for us. We were near to one of our daughters who was preparing for her imminent wedding. But also easy access to go exploring for our future home. The lodge was clean and tidy on our arrival . We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay here and would highly recommend .

Adrian and Jenny’s place is a quiet haven. Lovely place in an old place. The village was great with two pubs nearby for food or just a drink. Their place was comfortable, clean and quiet. Just what we needed. Beautifully decorated a real home from home. Many thanks

Beautiful little house in a peacefully place. With sheep and cows around the place, it’s a very calm and resting place. I clearly recommend this wonderful house.

Beautiful, peaceful cottage next to a working farm and only a 20 minute drive to local amenities. Was exactly what we needed, perfect for a long weekend get away with the in-laws and doggo. Very clean, all as described including the fenced garden, picnic bench, selection of board games and supplied linens. We really appreciated the bottle of Cows of Covington milk, tea /coffee and cookies when we arrived! Would highly recommend if you're looking for peace, countryside and interesting walks, although very drivable to a load of different attractions.

Beccy was an amazing host and I couldn’t have asked for more from the cottage or the surroundings. Would 100% recommend.

We had a great weekend at Fiona’s cottage despite the rainy weather. The cottage is as described and would be absolutely delightful to sit in the beautiful garden enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The cottage is very private and well looked after. We loved lighting up the log fire in the evenings sipping a glass (or 2) of wine and watching the rain fall, absolutely magical. Fiona is a very responsive and helpful host, when we arrived at the cottage we realised there was no hot water, we contacted Fiona and whithin an hour (or less!) we had a technician come to us who solved the problem in a matter of minutes, we were very impressed by Fiona’s prompt action. We managed to bike down to Old Castle Lachlan and Kilmorie Chapel when the rain let up a bit, lovely scenery and an easy ride on our e-bikes. We dined at The Creggan’s Inn and spotted a red squirrel, 2 does and a fawn on the road down to/from The Oystercatcher, absolutely amazing! Thank you for having us Fiona, we will be back!

Fairy Cottage can compete with any 5-star luxury hotel in the world. The beds are excellent and nothing is missing from the facilities. Hugh and Angela have gone above and beyond what you would expect from hosts. We had a flat tire a mile before we arrived . Hugh made sure we got through our program, took care of the car and even brought us breakfast as we didn't have a car. 10 stars would not be enough.

We had a wonderful stay at Blackside Cottage. Andrew and Elizabeth couldn't have been more accommodating and they had anticipated all of our needs and gone out of their way to provide everything possible for our dogs too. The cottage is spotlessly clean and tidy with lovely homely touches and a superbly stocked kitchen..We were eating out but I would have been able to cook virtually anything quite happily. The bedroom is roomy and comfortable and the views are lovely. We can thoroughly recommend a stay here and hope to return for a longer stay soon.

The accommodation was perfect it had absolutely everything we needed. We felt very comfortable and relaxed in the cottage. We couldn't fault it at all. The location is ideal to visit Edinburgh and Glasgow along with the Borders. There is also plenty of parking and it is in a quiet area so you won't be disturbed by the traffic. Julie and Mike are the perfect hosts and are available if you need anything. We would very much like to re-visit as we enjoyed it so much even in the rain :-) .
