Cottage holiday rentals in Lanark County

I’ve stayed there 3 times now. Any time I had a question he was very quick to respond. One time he even sent out the company to have a look when we (mistakenly) thought there was something wrong with the hot tub.

Repeat guests - Enjoyed this stay even more than the last. Perfect spot for a quiet getaway with family or friends.

I cannot say enough amazing things about this place. Jennifer thought of everything a cottage needs and then some. The weather was not ideal the weekend we went but we were still able to do so much! The games under the TV came in handy along with the hot tub. Jennifer truly has everything you need in the kitchen - spices included! We ate at the highland social, redneck bistro and the oh-el-la cafe, some of the best food we have EVER had! Everyone in town was also super friendly :) The road to get up to the cabin was scary for us city folks the first time but after you do it once, it comes with ease! We cannot wait to stay here again and again!

We went here for a family vacation and this peaceful abode by the lake is something we needed more than what we expected. It was relaxing, silent and within the nature. The hot tub is a magical added luxury. There are enough life jackets for you to try and go for some paddle boating by the lake. And for people who enjoys a good campfire at night like me, they had an amazing spot with loads of wood to light an amazing campfire. All in all we got what we expected and enjoyed every bit of it.

This was a great stay! Hosts were very responsive and the place is just beautiful. They welcomed my group with a bottle of champange and a nice message for my birthday! The hot tub is a great addition as well as the outdoor shower. It is very modern and a very well kept property. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay and I would recommend this place for anyone thinking of booking 😊

Beautiful spot to getaway to for an extended long weekend. The dock receives sun all day, the lake water was clear and warm, and the cottage itself is extremely specious, clean, tidy and filled with entertainment for both adults and kids. We loved the magical fireflies that would start lighting up at dawn, and the stars were simply out of this world late at night! Jennifer was a great host who was very responsive and very quick to help resolve our issues.

We had a great stay at the cottage! It was clean, well-maintained, and exactly as shown in the listing. We needed a bit of help locating a few things listed in the amenities, but the host was very responsive and helpful, which we really appreciated. The anti-mosquito plug-in devices were a thoughtful touch. We noticed fewer bites and were so thankful for that! Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Havre de paix, exactement ce dont nous avions besoin pour notre rencontre d'équipe. La cuisine était bien équipée pour cuisiner tous nos repas. L'entrée et l'accès au spa étaient bien déneigés malgré une accumulation de neige marquée quales jours avant notre arrivée.

We just loved Hanna’s place! The cottage was exactly as pictured. The kids loved the standup paddle boards and the grandkids loved swimming in the crystal clear water off the dock - yes - in September! We even caught a fair sized bass - right off the dock. We spent a lot of time kayaking the lovely and serene lake. Thanks Hanna for the great experience and the very thoughtful touches everywhere. You have thought of everything 😀. The screened in porch was magical and we enjoyed eating there. We will definitely be back!

Sooo beautiful! This modern and cosy cottage has everything you need. Kitchen is well stocked, very comfy beds, lots of sitting areas and access to the water toys. The fishing was great also.

We had a wonderful time at Maple Bend Cottage! Joy was such a great host - always so quick to respond and thorough with sharing details. Upon walking into the cottage, we were amazed with how spacious yet cozy the space felt. You can tell that Joy put in so much thought into decorating the space so that all of her guests felt right at home. We loved the layout of the home, especially the outdoor area which featured a backyard patio as well as a fire pit. Unfortunately the weather didn’t work out in our favour during our stay however, Joy offers many equipment for water sports and she also shared plenty of things to do nearby. If you’re lucky enough, you may spot some highland cows at the end of the main road!

Overall great stay! Waterfront is pretty weedy but they can be avoided by paddling out a bit to swim. Host was very responsive and everything was as described.

A rural, peaceful, stunning beauty! The majestic views of the sun reflecting off the lake and mother nature in all her shades of red, orange, yellow and green made it hard to want to leave. Canoeing to our hearts content! The king mattress was very comfortable only I wish I had seen that there were a pair of cotton sheets in the drawer sooner as the polyester ones on the bed took some getting used to for me. My boyfriend had no problem with this. Our four legged friend loved being by our side during this trip and we are so grateful to our hosts for making this a pet friendly retreat. Cooking our own meals at home with local ingredients from McKenzie Farm and Food Smiths made us feel like we were right at home. Their kitchen had everything we needed. The first night was cold enough to make a fire which was lovely to see and left the whole place heated for hourrs. We honestly could have stayed there forever! These are the kindest hosts who are so thoughtful and made us feel like family.

Kristine is really nice host, she instructed us so well about the things. The white folder was nice touch as it has all the places listed around to visit and the places we can go for food or order take out. The place is really beautiful and clean, also suitable for toddlers to play around. She was really responsive and helpful with the questions we had. We will recommend this place to all.

The property is breathtaking with plenty of different areas to relax and enjoy the view. the cottage is very well equipped with everything you need. The hosts are wonderful. They left us some baked treats, quickly replaced a broken coffee maker and brought some of our family on a boat ride around the lake. True hospilality. We wiill definitely return again. All of our family thoroughly enjoyed their time.

The listing was exactly as described: relaxing and peaceful. The property is well maintained, with beautiful views and very big terrace. We enjoyed the boats and activities on the lake. It’s very close to Westport and Perth which makes grocery shopping or an evening out very easy. Communication with Matthew was easy and he was very responsive

This place is fantastic for swimming, boat, hiking, etc. We had our own boat with us and truly enjoyed the cottage. The place itself is a bit dated and the bathroom etc was a little uncomfortable. The amenities inside the cottage are dated or very well-used already. But the spot is excellent for outdoor activities. Kids did lots of finishing and it was great that we could watch them finishing while inside. Overall I would very much recommend this place if you will spend most of your time outside (which you should; the souranding is amazing).

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying here for a few nights. This place is truly a hidden gem. The cottage was very nice and clean when we arrived and we had everything we needed. The property was beautiful and very private. The hosts were responsive for our needs in a very timely manner. The accommodations were phenomenal. We truly enjoyed our time there even though we had a family emergency that we had to cut our time short for our stay. We will most indefinitely return for a future stay as it was truly an incredible environment to be in.

I have 4 kids so the three double beds is great! We were in 1b and it overlooks the beach… we didn’t have time but there were lots of activities for the kids to do. Will likely go again for longer in the future.

The cottage is located on a lovely bay - very close to the lakeside. It is very peaceful- listening to the call of the loons. Thank you very much to our friendly host for a great stay. The kitchen is very well equipped, with condiments, pots and pans, etc - nice barbecue on the deck.

Ralfs place was perfect, exactly as described. He was very responsive and accommodating with any questions and made the stay at his place welcoming. The place is extremely clean and has everything you need and more to enjoy your vacation. Would definitely recommend!

We arrived to find a card and flowers for my mother’s 80th birthday and a basket of the most delicious goodies! The hosts were fantastic and lovely to deal with.
