Holiday rentals with lake access in Lake Vermilion

We loved the house and the private dock! For us to have a spot to dock our boat was a great plus. The house is well maintained and instructions getting in and out were very clear. We had a great time!

Place was nice and quiet, a fun getaway with a great family game room. They have a nice dock with decent fishing: we caught a couple of large mouth bass and pike. Beautiful firepit and front porch to watch great sunsets. We enjoyed the sauna, cornhole and outdoor space. Unfortunately the deerfly were a bit annoying making it hard to be outside at times. Would recommend bringing a boat or kayak to get out on the lake. We would come back again.

My family and I had such an incredible stay at Jennifer’s lake house. It was the perfect combination of spacious, cozy, and private for us to spend our Christmas week there. The location and wintry weather had us feeling like we were in a snow globe. The house was even decorated for the season, and had more than enough room for the group we had. Makes me excited for the summer months, as I would absolutely book here again!

The cabin is beautiful. Everything looked just like the pictures. It surely exceeded our expectations, we had a peaceful and relaxing weekend. Thanks Moriah for having such an amazing place ✨️

We stayed at this property to ride the ATV trail system. You could not ask for a better location to the system. Easy to get to the trails, and access to two great loops to ride.

Beautiful home with a beautiful view. We had a great time fishing, eating at various places and traveling the North Shore.

Brian's place was a nice place to stay. I thought it was nicer in person than what the pictures reflected. Would definitely stay here again!

A few years ago I stayed here but it was just for a few days and I always knew that I would want to come back and stay for a longer time. The time came and I am so glad that I came back the place is still in such a beautiful location. You feel like you are out in your own little world yet you are close enough to town. The hosts had made some changes to the place since the last time I stayed there and it made the place even better. The house had everything I could ask for and more. I felt relaxed and safe. This will definitely be a place that I come back to time and time again. I also love that at night we could have the windows open and hear the call of the loons on the lake.

Clean and exactly as advertised! Well-equipped kitchen which was very handy. Only stayed one night, but it was a great place to crash for a small group of people headed to the Sax Zim Bog!

This was my second stay in one of Kelly’s places( same building). And both occasions were above & beyond what I expect in my stays 😎 Great location, awesome decor, everything you need to feel like you are at home! Communication could not be better!!! I will be back next summer 🙏🤩

Very clean & quiet place, right on Pokegama Lake! We had everything we needed and loved the separate little cottage down by the beach. We live in a city, so being in a place with only natural noise and such a dark and star-filled sky was a real treat. The yard is beautiful and green and the whole place is only a few miles from town, and very close to bike and hiking trails, as well as a quarry to swim in. We highly recommend Deb's lakeside retreat and look forward to returning on future trips to Grand Rapids.

We stayed for a night while my kids were skiing CXC at Mt.Itasca. Cozy place. Nice and clean. Would definitely stay again

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage! The cottage was unique and exactly like the pictures. We took advantage of the sauna and cooled off in the lake. We biked the Mesabi trail with access nearby. A great weekend getaway!

Great place on the lake! There was plenty of space for our family and we particularly enjoyed sitting outside on the patio and floating in the lake during the day. We rented a pontoon one afternoon, which I highly recommend! We played pickleball a few times at the YMCA and brought up our bikes to enjoy the Mesabi bike trail. There is so much to do in the area! Bring bug spray if you plan to be outside at dusk. The house was clean and well-equipped and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We thought we’d use the sauna but honestly it looks more appealing in photos than in real life. We appreciated the bottle of wine and s’mores kit left by the host. Note, there is a small chore list to take care of when you leave. Can’t wait to visit Grand Rapids again!

An absolutely amazing trip. We booked the boathouse to get away from the world for a few days and experience one of Minnesota's beautiful lakes. When we arrived at the boat landing, Julia was waiting for us and took us out to the island. During our visit, we never went further out then we could paddle. The island is a very serene setting - a perfect blend of awe inspiring nature, as well as rustic, yet very comfortable anemities. We spent our days sleeping in a comfortable bed, cooking lunch in the full kitchen while taking in the beauty of the lake, taking in the smell of the pines and exploring the waters on kayaks, paddleboards, and the aquabike. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset every night from the shore, and took our time looking at the endless stars before before retiring to the boathouse for the night. At night, we listened to the waves crash against the shore and loons sing to each other. To the people who grew up visiting the Northwoods, this will feel very nostalgic, and people who have never been will enjoy the new memories and experiences greatly. A perfect place to disconnect from the world. In addition to the wonderful nature and great boat house, Julia is an absolute gem of a person. From the moment we met her, she was so kind and welcoming. You can tell she has a great love and appreciation for the island. She was extremely responsive to questions prior to arriving, as well as when we were on the island. I cannot thank her enough.

This lake house was absolutely wonderful!!!! A needed respite and very comfortable. The house is surrounded with beauty and the furnishings are so cozy that you feel like you are at home. Melissa has thought of everything and has gone beyond. The area has local stores and restaurants that have such unique ambiance with friendly staff. We stayed here for a month and a half with some of that time being colder weeks and were even able to enjoy a beautiful snow on the lake. If you are looking for a stay that will check all the boxes, you’ve found it in this place. Highly recommended!!!!

Can’t say enough great things about this cabin. Such cute decor, clean as a whistle, such a well stocked kitchen, comfy beds, awesome location. We would head back in a second!

Quaint and peaceful cottage on the water. Not a lot of frills but just the space to get away. It was affordable compared to other places in the area and since I did have to work, it was nice to have reliable WiFi!

Property was spacious, well maintained, and clean. Host provided clear instructions and was always friendly, proactive and responsive. This definitely contributed to an overall positive vacation experience!

Our stay here was amazingly peaceful! We enjoyed the outdoors flying kites during the day and roasting marshmallows at night. Our time indoors was spent playing various games in the garage and also many board and card games available in the house. Great place to stay if you’re looking to get away!

If you’re looking for a quiet, cozy, relaxing, cabin getaway, this is your place! Saw and heard loons every day/night, which is always cool. Very easy to relax and enjoy the surrounding wildlife and scenery, highly recommend!
