Warm, cosy unit with Geothermal Hot Pool

A quiet, cosy, two bedroom, centrally heated unit. Enjoy the large geothermal hot pool. A full sized pool table, smart tv, wifi. A small kitchenette to prepare light meals and snacks, plus a small, private cottage garden to enjoy native birds and trees. Taupo is 50 minutes drive from our home. We are in easy reach of some of NZ's' most stunning hikes. An Easy 35 minutes to Whakapapa ski field and Tongariro Crossing, plus local river walks, supermarket and eateries 10 mins. Not a party house.

The Bothy: apartment-style homestay

The Bothy is a self-contained and independent unit of Belinda and Hugh's lovely home, but has the same fantastic views of the lake and the mountains as their own sitting room. It has a small kitchen so you can be as independent as you wish, and a comfy lounge with "that" view! The main bedroom has a king bed, but there are two single beds and a small child-sized bed in a mezzanine loft (with pull-out ladder access) for the family, and a pull-out couch which makes into a comfy bed for one extra.

Just metres from the lake edge & less than 3km from the town centre, this sunny iconic renovated 1970's apt is the perfect place for a bit of R&R, or make the most of all the outdoor adventure that Taupo has to offer then come home & relax in the private thermal plunge pool. A swim in the lake is just a skip across the road. Soak up the afternoon sun whilst taking in the amazing 180 degree views of the lake & mountains from the comfort of the living room or the private courtyard and balcony.
