Cottage holiday rentals in Lake Junaluska

We loved staying at this cabin in Maggie Valley! We were in the area to enjoy a birthday weekend and some hiking, and the cabin was the perfect base camp! The hot tub was spotless and a great way to wind down after climbing a nearby mountain. The view and stars were unbeatable, the cabin’s kitchen was perfect for making breakfasts and a nice steak dinner, and the fire pit was a cozy way to spend time under the stars together. We prefer to stay in private locations and this cabin had plenty of privacy; it felt like we had a whole mountain to ourselves. Tara and Phillip were easy to communicate with, and though we didn’t have questions because the instructions were easy and clear, I’m sure we would have answers quickly if we needed them. We loved our time here and absolutely would love to book again if we find ourselves craving another trip to the smokies! If you’re looking to find somewhere for a private mountain getaway, you can stop looking; you’ve found the best around.

We were visiting Asheville for a friends wedding and this provided the space and amenities we needed for a long weekend. It was peaceful and had a nice patio and outdoor space. It was an awesome suprise to see the fireflies twinkling in the trees by the creek at night while relaxing after a long day. It was just me and my husband but would be nice for a group of adults or a family getaway also. Plenty of space. Thanks for a good vacation!

Cute and quiet place to stay for a long weekend. Hot tube was nice to have to get in after a long day out and about.

This is the second time our family stays a Larks Cove. We love it. We feel right at home. It’s such a cozy home and we love hanging out at the fire pit. The game room is very fun and the house over all is very clean. It si close to many places like Cherokee and Bryson City. Katharine takes the time to recommend places and to give clear instructions to arrive. Checking in is so hassle free which is a huge plus for us. This is why we came back and we will continue to come back

The Dogwood Cottage was such a charming cottage. It was even better than the description on Airbnb. From the beautiful outdoor deck to the clean and organized interior~ we were very pleased with our selection! I stayed on the Ms. Pac-Man arcade game till midnight.... My husband and I enjoyed our stay there, and we plan on returning one day.

My husband, dog and I stayed here and absolutely loved it! The house was very cute and our dog loved running around the fenced in back yard. It was a quick 10 minute drive to downtown and we loved the restaurants and coffee shops in West Asheville.

The waterfall cottage was BEYOND what we could have imagined for our family. From the moment we pulled into the driveway we were saying “wow”! The property and waterfalls were beautiful and serene and our boys loved playing in the creek and running around in the field. The cottage itself is immaculately kept and had everything we needed. Our family was so comfortable during our stay. Nancy went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and is a fantastic host. We can’t wait to come back!

I have to admit that I am not the best at writing reviews after staying at airbnbs, but this one was especially great for our family. We were traveling with our baby and 2 dogs, and we found the space very peaceful and well suited for us. I loved their fence for the dogs and the way the bedroom and living area is situated. Would highly recommend and will be coming back!

Definitely worth the stay. Very friendly, responsive and understanding. I haven’t done much air bnb but this is definitely the best experience yet and definitely worth the price!

Perfect location! Walkable to great delicious food spots and local shopping. The backyard was perfect for our pups. We felt at home with the comfy accommodations. I would recommend to everyone! We will definitely want to return since our niece will be attending college nearby next year.

An extremely cozy and comfortable stay in West AVL. You almost feel like you are home! Ashton has done Ana amazing job making the Air BnB feel bright, airy and extra welcoming. It was spotless! The kitchen had all the utensils you might need to whip up nice meals. The outside seating area was so lovely, I highly recommended having your morning beverage out there and listening to the birds!

The cottage was great for the brief visit. Lots of recommendations on where to eat. Would stay again!!

Location cannot be beat very easy drive, Uber or walk very pet friendly with a small fenced in side yard

We enjoyed our stay, even though it was cut short due to downed power line/ water cut off which neither of us had control over. Duke is working on resolving the matter promptly. We appreciate Michelle, she was very helpful and responsive throughout this and our stay. We were sad to leave, the location itself is private. The roads are well maintained and easy to navigate in and out from. Loved waking up to the ever changing view plus being able to bring our pup, Thor along with us. Thanks for having us!

The scenery is beautiful.The night sky was awesome.I was able to viewe many more starts that I would normally be able to view.The back porch was great in the morning and at night relaxing. We would gladly stay in the future if available.

This is absolutely the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. I love to fish and the pond didn’t disappoint, caught bass, catfish and bluegill, it was a blast. It was so quiet and we really enjoyed the space by the pond. The home was immaculate!! We are already planning another trip to go back.

Beautiful home in a private location. Has everything you need! Easy to connect firestick or other streaming devices. You may need 4 wheel drive during some months. Close to grocery, lowes, Walmart, gas. Wonderful area, highly recommended!

The Red Fern Cottage is gem located close to everything in Maggie Valley. It is been decorated with love for those who love nature, history and flowers. This place reminds me of visiting my grandmother in Michigan who loved flower arrangements. Thus for a relaxing vacation this cottage will make you feel at home.

This place was perfect for out stay. The location is centrally located but private, which we appreciate.

Sam’s place is very well kept and is an excellent choice for those with dogs and without. Clean and cheerful, it’s proof that you don’t have to lower your standards just because you’re traveling with your furry friend. I would book it for sure even if my buddy wasn’t with me, but I’d rather he was there to enjoy the lovely fenced yard and bbq grill (he’s got a thing for hamburgers.)

Overall, the Airbnb was a clean, peaceful, and comfortable place to stay. Catherine was kind and responsive, which we truly appreciated and helped make our stay more enjoyable. That said, there were several things that stood out. Some amenities that were clearly advertised like shampoo, conditioner, and coffee were not provided. It also felt like the space had not been fully prepared for our arrival. The dishwasher and dryer still had clean items left from past guests, and the downstairs trash had not been taken out. These details gave the impression that the space was not properly reset between bookings, which took away from the overall experience and sense of care. If five stars are the goal, the value and accuracy of what’s being offered should reflect that. Promising amenities that aren’t included and not fully preparing the space can hurt the experience, but with a few tweaks, the stay could be a lot better. We still enjoyed our time and wish Catherine and her family the best!

We loved our stay at Maggie & Mike’s cabin. The place is quiet and private while at the same time close to various activities that we were looking to do in the area. We definitely recommend this place and will again consider for our future stays!
