Family-friendly holiday rentals in Lake Houston

Thanks for a very comfortable stay @ your Airbnb. Would recommend it to anyone who visits Houston.The place is ideally located, within walking distance of the restaurants and shops. Having a Garage and laundry facility was super helpful . Trent is very responsive. We had a plumbing issue. Trent fixed it at the earliest. Thank you Trent for an enjoyable experience.

Mary’s Seascape Condo was excellent for our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 older children). Queen bed & pillows were comfy, kids loved the jumbo built-in bunk beds. Mary was very responsive to questions & even accommodated an early check-in for us. Location is great— out of the way of much of the Seawall traffic. The private beach access is a total selling point, but the entire place is amazing. We loved our stay & definitely plan to book again.

We stayed here for our 5th anniversary and loved it so much we came back for our 6th!

I had an amazing experience at this Airbnb! From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The host was outstanding—friendly, responsive, and genuinely committed to making sure I had a great visit. The location was perfect—close to everything I needed, yet quiet and peaceful for a good night’s sleep. I couldn’t have asked for a better home away from home. I’ll definitely be booking here again the next time I’m in the area!

Loved everything about this place. Felt right at home. Awesome location. Beautiful home. Loved the pool and enjoyed the hot tub at night. It was close to Kroger for last minute needs and a few mins walk to the beach. Will definitely be back in the future!

We really enjoyed our stay at this condo. It was our first family vacation with our toddler. Everything went smoothly and we were able to create great memories. Gary & Anna were very responsive and helpful!

We loved staying at the Flip Flop Flamingo. It was in a quiet residential neighborhood, but very close to downtown, the Strand, and just a few blocks from the beach. It was just the right size for us. It had plenty of charm with updates to make it comfortable. I'd stay again and would reccomend it to friends!

Alexis was a very friendly host she made us feel at home. It was very easy to check in and check out. She was very responsive to the messages and provided us with what we needed. She is also flexible with her reservations and will try to find solutions to keep you comfortable. Highly recommended if you’re in the Woodlands.

Tom was an amazing host. He met us right at the front door, was very knowledgeable and thorough. The house was equally amazing. Highly recommend staying here. We had a fabulous time!

This home has so much character! It is super cute and charming. My boyfriend and our two pups stayed for a few days. Loved the fully fenced in spacious backyard. Paul provided so many great recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the area! Great location, only a couple blocks from the beach.

Great place to stay. Felt right at home. Beautiful home and gated yard, which was great for our dog. The owner even had extra things for us when we arrived which was so sweet. We will definitely be staying there again when we come back to Houston.

This was very accommodating as far as location. Very convenient to and from the city. As long as you’re ok with one bathroom, this place is great for a stay right outside the city.

This home is so nice and in a quit neighborhood. It was nice to be within short driving distances of everything we wanted to do. We felt at home here. We will definitely try and reserve it again if we ever go back to that area. Side note….we left some clothes in the dryer when we left and Chuck is kindly mailing them back to us! Lol!

Kim’s place provided exactly what my soul needed. This was our first getaway in 2 years after caring for our senior Great Dane who passed at age 12 on May 21. My husband and I enjoyed BCN, a Michelin Star restaurant only 8 min away. Kim’s home is close to the River Oaks shops, lots of restaurants and coffee shops and vintage clothing shops. You can walk to Trader Joe’s and Target! Her neighborhood is walkable which we and our dogs loved. As for Kim’s place, the space is welcoming with her beautifully adorned glass art, cold a.c., great shower water pressure and temp, comfortable bed and a fully equipped kitchen. Kim’s garden is magical with gorgeous plumeria plants throughout. I enjoyed sitting on her enclosed screened patio and taking it all in and listening to the gentle wind chimes and the birds singing. Kim is responsive and available for everything you need. I 100% recommend you stay here.

Great place for two families with toddlers to spend a long weekend! The view from the balcony was great, and the pool and the lazy river were a ton of fun. The room itself was good for a long weekend, but it might have felt a little cramped if the stay was much longer than that. Overall, we really enjoyed this place and will definitely consider it for our next trip to Galveston!

Absolutely adored the place....well decorated, well maintained and very clean...was loaded with amenities and everything needed for comfort and feel at home. The shower was hot as I like and bed very comfortable. I brought my own white noise machine but did not need it because one was already provided. The hostess was very attentive and prompt with responding. The views of beach was therapeutic and amazing. Casa Del Mar staff was very friendly and professional. My husband and I spent 8 days in Galveston and it was perfect.

This place is a gem and provided us with the comforts of home. The view of the lake is stunning and presented us with an extremely relaxing weekend. The fishing kept us busy the entire time and we only left a couple of times to buy more bait from the corner stores nearby. The other renters were pleasant and noise was not an issue. The kitchen was well equipped, bedroom was comfy, and the bathroom was stocked and neat. Jim was extremely pleasant, friendly, and readily available to help if needed. We can’t wait to go back!

Already thinking of reasons to come back to Montgomery because this place exceeded our expectations! We were blown away by the stunning lakefront views and peaceful atmosphere. The home was spotless, spacious, and had everything we needed for a relaxing week with our family. What really made our experience exceptional was the host. Hands down, the most responsive and thoughtful host we've ever had on Airbnb. Every question was answered within minutes, and they went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had a great time. If you're deciding between homes on this lake, look no further and book this one!!

Wow! What an incredible place and an incredible host. We've stayed at over 30 Airbnbs and this is the only host that has gone this above and beyond - stocking the kitchen in anticipation of our Thanksgiving feast, a doggie basket with toys for our pups, a gorgeous pecan dessert and yummy pasta/sauce on the kitchen table, a zoom call to welcome us and to find out what else we needed (she ordered us more kitchen utensils & a fan from Target). The home feels like a home. Super clean, lots of character - high ceilings, lovely woodwork, lots of light, a sweet fully fenced in yard, and large comfy bedrooms. There are two bathrooms but everyone ends up using 1 upstairs as their main bathroom since it's the one with a shower - not an issue for us just FYI. The neighborhood is super walkable - so many gorgeous homes on every block. Easy to get to the Strand, beach and Broadway. Two thumbs way up for people with or without dogs! Simply amazing. Nice place to stay around the area, it’s peaceful and protected by a nearby police station. Kemah board walk is really close, recommend staying here for activity.

Best Air B&B experience yet! Beautiful view of the gulf from the bedroom and living room. Nice size kitchen with everything we needed. Cat was very responsive to all communications. We will definitely be back!
