Cottage holiday rentals in Lake Anna

An amazing stay for our group! It was a beautiful and peaceful environ and the house and local neighborhood had some fantastic amenities and perks that we were fully encouraged to enjoy and take advantage of. We had a full group of 8 people and and it was perfect for our needs.

My husband and I had a wonderful time celebrating our honeymoon at Wolftrap farm! The hosts were incredibly welcoming , professional, and responsive! They were available and willing to answer any questions we had! The view was breathtaking. Our pups enjoyed seeing the horses and the daily walks around the farm. The house was well kept and had everything we needed. We loved the amount of space for our family of 5! The patio, deck with grill and fire pit were wonderful additions. The area and yard were beautiful. Such a wonderful getaway!

Tracy was a fantastic host who made us right at home. We loved being back in the woods and had a relaxing stay. Definitely appreciated a host who had some really delicious restaurant recommendations. We hope to be back soon.

Our Happy Place was just that! The cute tiny cottage in the woods was absolutely amazing. It was the perfect quick get away for a long weekend. Sarah had everything we could have needed readily available for us. She even had a cute little library within walking distance from the cabin full of books and tons of games. We loved the “no rules” moto and enjoyed our time outside listen to music and enjoying the beauty all around us without having to worry about being too “loud”. Highly recommend this little gem if you’re looking for a secluded spot well within drivable distance to the quant little town of Orange, where we were welcome by several locals! As for Sarah, she is an amazing host! Sarah is very accommodating and is super quick to respond to any questions you may have. She has a passion for ensuring that her guests have an amazing experience. Thank you for sharing a tiny piece of your heart with us! Hope to visit again in the future!

Great host, gorgeous views, and a quaint old home with history. Queen bed was very comfy and ac worked great! Host greeted us, answered any questions we had, provided local recommendations for our anniversary, and had even more amenities than we expected upon arrival. Would definitely come back if in the area again! My dogs loved the farm.

This was our second stay here. Second time was just as good as the first. The fenced yard for the dog was what originally made us book here, but the beautiful location and well-appointed house will keep us coming back. This trip was the first time we were able to use the walk on access to Montpelier and that was a nice added bonus.

Beautiful little cottage surrounded by abundant nature. Very close to Shenandoah national Park, as well as restaurants, across the street from local vineyard. There are a few other properties on the grounds, some of them occupied, but still with enough privacy and quiet. We enjoyed the fire pit in the evening and watched fireflies in the dark.

The house is even cuter in person, and extremely clean. The hosts have literally thought of everything. Every time I would think “I wonder if they have…?” there it would be. The bed was extremely comfortable, hosts respond very quickly, and the neighborhood was super safe and peaceful. I will definitely be staying here next time I’m in town.

We have so much fun staying here. It’s a dream to appreacite such a well kept place. Everything was so clean, neat and beautiful. We had total privacy and the area is stunning around the property. Very close to the lake which is super convenient. Our host was very attentive to any messages and questions. We will definitely be coming back!

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. The cottage is completely remodeled and provides a great space for a small family to interact and enjoy the lake. We had a mix of cooking on the Blackstone/kitchen and eating at some of the local restaurants on the lake. Christine and her husband were very friendly and accommodating. We had a wonderful week on the lake. We used paddleboards and rented boats and wave runners from the local marinas. Smores by the fire pit were a bonus!

We had an incredible stay! The host Jae is very responsive. The place is perfect for anyone who loves fishing, kayaking, and water sports. The location is unbeatable, with easy access to the water and all the equipment you could need. The peaceful surroundings made it even more enjoyable. Everything was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Highly recommend for outdoor enthusiasts—can’t wait to come back!

We really enjoyed staying at this Lake Anna house and recommend it! The house sits on a small cove off the lake, and they have kayaks and a canoe, along with several life jackets. You can set the boats in the water and paddle off right away. This isn't a part of the lake where you can swim, unfortunately, but it is not far from places where you can swim. Putt putt, ice cream, lake rental, and a seafood restaurant are a short (less than 10 minutes) kayak ride away or just a 2-3 minute drive. There was a nest of red-tailed hawks in one of the front trees, which was very cool to watch. The yard is sloped down to the water, so very fun for running and playing, but don't bring a soccer ball or it will end up in the lake(!). Note that the bedroom with the bunk beds (in the basement) is directly off the big basement bedroom, so you have to go through that bedroom to get to the bunk beds. (Was only a minor issue when kiddos got up early and were noisy.) Kitchen was big and well appointed!
