Monthly Rentals in Kurunegala

Stayed between 15-18th of April 2025. This is the second time I visited this property. Absolutely a gem of place to relax and unwind. The location is full of nature only the sound of the birds can be heard. The views are stunning with a beautiful lake in front and a large paddy field. An unspoilt village to show children how the rural village life goes about. There are plenty of bicycle for the guests to use FoC and Can take a bicycle ride across the village and on the bundt of the lakes in and around and enjoy the picturesque views of the lakes and the Galkiriyagama rock that spans for 7kms. During the night only the sound of nature you can hear. In the evening a dip in the lake with the villages is not to be missed. The property is very clearly kept. The food is absolutely tasty and made in a kitchen cleanly kept. Ideal place to enjoy traditional Sri Lankan Rice and Curry and other Sri Lankan food. A place definitely you want to revisit over and over again. Great value for money.

This place is beautiful. It’s just outside the hustle and bustle of Kandy city. In the morning you can expect waking up to the most beautiful views of rice paddies and the sounds of birds. And in the evening, it is very peaceful. You’ll see a light show of fireflies and hear the crickets chirping. My husband and I just love spending time here. The location is also super convenient. It’s just a short walk from groceries, the gym, and all the local restaurants. We had an amazing time in Embilmeegame town. You can even walk to the tea factory for a tour if you’re interested. Uchitha was so helpful and accommodating. If you’re looking for a peaceful place to stay, but still close to Kandy, I highly recommend this place!

Kind and responsive host, as described. Hassle free experience with a good AC and Hot-water facilities. However expect them to add wifi in the future and since there are some mosquitoes, make sure you apply repellent.

Stayed with the family for my wife's birthday. Unfortunately we had some power issues at the start of our stay due to some extreme weather and a temperamental generator. However, these were resolved by the following day when a man came round to fix the generator. The place is beautiful and the caretaker, Shiva, was very helpful throughout our stay. The views are amazing and I could have easily spent a whole afternoon sitting on the balcony with a cup of tea and a book just taking in the surroundings. One constructive piece of feedback I would offer the host is that a sign at the bottom of the driveway would be very helpful to confirm that you have arrived in the right place. We unfortunately drove past the property when we first arrived and ended up having to double back after asking a local for directions. Overall, this was a lovely stay and a property well worth returning to.
