Staying here has been a joy. It’s very cozy, comfortable and clean. The accommodation is very spacious with a large shower and bathroom. I had the pleasure of meeting Ion. He is very polite and charming. I will be coming back here for sure. I recommend the accommodation and host highly..

TSUNAGU2 ⭐️RIVER SIDE House where you can fully enjoy nature⭐️

彩佳Rating, 5 stars1 week ago
It was a renovated old house, and the water area, rooms, toilets, etc. were clean and very easy to use. This time, 2 of us used it, but it was spacious enough, and I want to stay with a large number of adults this time. The owner is very kind, cheerful, and friendly, and gave us a lot of support. There are some insects, but the insect repellent in the facilities can handle them, which is proof that it is an environment where you can enjoy nature.

This price for 2 people! An inn in a historic kominka house in Iwamura Castle Town. How about renting a retro kimono and dressing up? (Reservation required)

We had a wonderful time at Sonoco’s guesthouse! First of all, Sonoco is an absolute gem. She’s extremely kind and helpful. She sent us a lot of suggestions for restaurants and activities and even offered to call the restaurant in advance to check if there was still space for us. On our last day she even brought us all the way to Nagoya station (1,5 hour drive!!) which made our journey to Kyoto a lot easier! Iwamura is a beautiful, lovely town where you can really experience the old Japan. There were almost no other tourist there (at least we didn’t see them). We rented kimono’s at Sonoco’s kimono rental and this was a great experience. The kimono’s were beautiful and Sonoco and her friend really took their time with us. We could walk around town and even eat at an izakaya in kimono. All in all a great experience so make sure you rent a kimono with her if you can! I cannot recommend this place enough. It’s a little out of the way but worth it. Thank’s for everything, Sonoco!
