Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Mark the host gave us super easy and clear instructions to get to, and get in the caravan which made things super easy. The caravan is absolutely stunning, so clean inside with absolutely everything you need, from plates, cleaning products, even a slow cooker and dishwasher. Everything was left for our one year old including a cot and blankets, and they even had bubbles, loads of games and books for all ages. The WiFi worked really well and honestly we couldn’t fault it. The site was lovely, although there wasn’t loads to do for the kids, they made use of the golf, football pitches and pool. The entertainment was decent and we even won £500 at bingo! Thanks for a lovely stay!

We had an amazing stay! The cottage was just as described and in the perfect location so we hardly had to use the car at all and were able to walk to Windermere, Bowness and Brockhole with our two girls ( 13 and 8). The use of the nearby pool was an added bonus after a day in the mountains. We’ll definitely be back! 😀

This place was beyond our expectations. Immaculately presented, super clean, tidy, jaw dropping views. I can't fault it in any way and I can't rate it highly enough. Will definately look to return in the future. Stunning!

The lodge was fabulous, really enjoyed our stay. I even picked up a couple of decor ideas. Had a lovely time feeding the ducks, swans and other wildlife, very relaxing. Shops and amenities easy to get to by car, lovely restaurants around the area. Would absolutely recommend.

We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Badgers Rest. The home was beautifully clean, had everything we needed and in a great location. The facilities were amazing nearby too.

House was as described, beautiful setting with wonderful views of the hills and mountains. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds and bathrooms are nicely finished with good showers. Kitchen is a good size and has all required implements. A great location for exploring the central lakes and soaking up all that Ambleside has to offer.

Location was perfect - peace and quiet just yards from the hustle and bustle of a lovely town. Everything close by - shops, pubs, restaurants etc. Had our own parking space , we didn’t drive all week, used the plentiful bus services walkable from the cottage. Everything in the cottage was lovely, really comfortable. Pete was available for any queries and was very informative. He was the perfect host. Definitely recommend.

Such a beautiful, spacious cottage in an amazing location! Very clean, comfortable, and tastefully furnished, with lovely views in all directions including Catbells. We enjoyed walks from the door as well as finding new trails from nearby Buttermere.

We really enjoyed our stay at Paul’s house. It was in a quiet road but within very easy reach of Keswick’s main attractions. There were 5 decent sized bedrooms - though one was at the front of the house at ground level so needed a little thought before opening the curtains to the world. The kitchen was very well equipped with all the plates, glasses etc that you could possibly need. The separate donning area was large and close to the kitchen. All in all an excellent place to stay for our party of 5. A beautiful old house, tastefully decorated in a perfect location.

the Chapel House mews is perfect if you want a little peace. The pub is relatively close and proximity to Skiddaw very convenient with Keswick just down the road. Everything you need and it didn’t rain-perfect. Many thanks Stefan.

Beautiful area just above the walk to Aira Force and within easy driving distance of Keswick, Derwent Water, Buttermere etc. Great cottage with all possible amenities. Very good meal at the Royal Hotel 2 minutes away. As peaceful as it comes. Absolutely perfect. Highly recommended.

Amazing stay ! House is very welcoming , extremely well equipt , cosy but also spacious and immaculately clean . Views from the sun room just stopped me in my tracks … breath taking ! - 20 mins or so and we were at Whitehaven where you can walk to st bees beach - 30 minute drives to both blencathra and skiddaw , which we were happy to tick off ☑️… our first visit to the lakes made even better with this lovely home to come back to after a day in the fells ❤️

We have just returned home from 4 nights at Julie's ex-guesthouse and we absolutely loved it. We were a group of 5 adults, a 9 year old and 18 month old and there was space for all of us. Each room has its own ensuite and the kitchen is well stocked. The whole place was very clean and the utility room is also massive which helps if you need to do any washing while staying there. We will definitely look to use Julie's place again in the future. Julie replied in good time to any messages and is very friendly. Highly recommend as a great place to get around the Lakes from too.

The end terrace cottage has delightful views across the valley to the high fells. It’s warm and cosy with huge windows to take in the views. The kitchen is well equipped with thoughtful little extras. We thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful stay and it was a great base to come back to after a day’s hiking. We loved it!

We had a wonderful stay! Communication was great from the start, and the home itself is absolutely beautiful, cosy, warm, and full of thoughtful touches that made it feel really special. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the shower was excellent too. Sarah, her husband, and Joey were so lovely and welcoming, and their gorgeous dog made us feel right at home. Highly recommend this stay, would love to come back!

Amazing stay at borrowdale View for a birthday celebration. Easy walk into Keswick, with lots to do nearby. House and facilities were excellent!! Pictures really dont do it justice, you have to be there to really appreciate it. We will definitely be booking again.

This cottage was perfect for our stay in Keswick! Great location and the place was very clean and well looked after. We contacted them to ask if there was a grip mat for the shower floor and they brought one over for us straight away. We had a wonderful stay- would definitely book again!

Christine made us feel welcome from the moment we booked the cottage right through to the end of our stay. I honestly couldn’t recommend this place enough. We booked the cottage as a surprise getaway for my sister’s 40th birthday, and we were looking for somewhere peaceful where we could also bring our dogs. The secure (and massive!) garden was perfect for them. The generous stock of logs and the incredibly thoughtful hamper on arrival went above and beyond our expectations. The barn itself is very spacious, and having all three bedrooms en-suite was so convenient for our group. It’s only about half an hour from Ullswater Lake, which made it the perfect base to explore this beautiful area. We’ll definitely be coming back and will be recommending this cottage to others in the future. Thank you ! X
