In case you're not a reader this is your choice don't go anywhere else! A lengthy version of the aforementioned. The house is within a small village called Rifi thus the name! It belongs to a lovely family. A family of smiling, open-minded and active people! This leads to a place that offers all possible amenities and much more than "the expected", even for the picky travelers. The family spends their summers on the island for generations meaning that, you will always enjoy the pros of having someone to guide you through your preferences directly to the islands finest. If you enjoy communicative, joyful and carefree vacation, search no more! General suggestions for the island. Bare in mind that renting a car or bringing yours is mandatory. Staying on the island for more than 5 days is preferable. Planning too much ahead is meaningless. Enjoy!

We had a fantastic 2-week stay at Nikolaos and Mela's home. Set in a peaceful part of the island, it has truly amazing views of the countryside, the gulf of Argostoli and Lixouri. The house is very well equipped, large and comfortable with 3 decent size bedrooms and a large living room. It also has a very big terrace complete with a daybed for afternoon naps, away from the heat. We felt right at home and didn't miss anything. Located in the quiet village of Agia Thekli, with a small village shop for essentials, it’s 15 mins by car from Lixouri, a seaside town with supermarkets, restaurants, shops and regular ferries to the capital Argostoli (20-min boat trip). It's also well placed to visit the eastern part of the island, Petani and Myrtos beaches and Asos and Fiscardo villages. Nikolaos and his family were charming and very welcoming. We were offered home grown tomatoes and peppers and gifted a bottle of local Greek wine. We highly recommend and hope to visit Kefalonia again soon!

The house was great for a family with three kids. Comfortable and spacious rooms, good beds, proper furnishings. The kitchen was super well equipped, it had everything you need (e.g. paper towels, napkins, etc.), and the bathroom was also. The house was clean and tidy, perfect for our vacation. It was further from other houses, so it was okay if the kids were a little louder or jumped in the garden. What was a little confusing for us was that you could hear the planes taking off and landing very strongly, but this was almost everywhere we went on the island, so this is not a negative thing about the accommodation, but the certainty that there are many more tourists coming to the island by plane than we were 15 years ago. By car, everything was available within an hour, which was important to us, and the host was very helpful, quick to respond, and took action. The settlement is a real small Greek village with good restaurants nearby. Our best stay in Greece so far!!!

Great apartment with a wonderful view of the valley and sea from the terrace. Landlady Hermina was super friendly and helpful. The bed was super comfortable, the beach of Petani around the corner. Nothing was missing, some coffee was available on arrival. We were very satisfied, it was very quiet at the beginning of June, great for relaxing. We only used the kitchen sparingly, but it was well equipped. Everything was as described, we felt very comfortable.
