Holiday rentals with lake access in Kachemak Bay

Such a sweetly situated and lovely home!! We all loved it and felt more than comfortable. The home had nooks and crannies full of Alaska findings and spacious views of the canal and neighboring historic homes. It was such a pleasure to stay here!!!

The home was clean and comfortable. Easy access to anywhere we wanted to go. Kitchen was fully stocked as well.

It was a real treat to stay at this lovely house in Homer. The soaring windows in the living room gave us great views of the distant mountains and the occasional float plane taking off or landing. The quiet neighborhood was conveniently located just a short drive to both the spit and downtown. Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed for our stay.

My family and I loved Homer and this was house the perfect place to stay. So close to all the things but far enough for perfect quiet. Marcella was very sweet and even had toys at the house for the little ones. We plan to book there again!

Helena’s place is darling and had everything needed for a long weekend. I appreciated all the personal touches (loved the ceramic mugs!) and the view from the apt and the deck is pretty magical. As Helena notes in the listing, sound definitely travels so just be aware when booking (and maybe bring a pair of earplugs just in case!). Even with that, I’d recommend this home and would stay again.

Great last minute spot that I booked. The view of the lake is beautiful and watching the planes take off and land. Only thing I didn’t account for was how loud these little planes are especially when they’re taking off at 6:30am. If you want to sleep in just keep that in mind. I would stay here again though.

We stayed here as we planned multiple trips to Katmai and Katchemak via Seaplane. If you are planning to do that, this place is awesome. Please be aware of the flights coming in and out of the lake as it can be noisy if you plan to sleep in. Other than that, the location is great! A walk down from the brewey, multiple seaplace services (one outside your door!) and a restaurant upstairs! This is on top of the great firepit for you to use!

What a wonderful m, relaxing stay! We enjoyed relaxing and watching the mountains and ocean come in and out of view through the fog and clouds. We saw a moose and what looked like a fox out the window. The cabin is so cozy and easily slept our group of 3 comfortably. The beds are amazing! We were happy to arrive to some food in the fridge and snacks on the countertop. What a treat! I would love to come back.

Helena’s place was great we felt right at home and had everything we needed in the unit. Very clean and well appointed, with thoughtful amenities like a spotting scope and bear spray. Nice and quiet as there wasn’t much traffic on the lake this time of year. Good value and location. Will stay again.
