Family-friendly holiday rentals in Kaanapali

We liked the pool a lot! We also liked to play tennis and there were 2 rackets and tennisballs in the apartment. Great! The kitchen was easy to use and well equipped. The shower is very nice and the bed great. You could also use all the beach equipment. There is a beach litterally across the street. We rather liked to hike and found the location great because it was easy to get everywhere on the island. Also foodland is quite close and in Kahului, which is a 15 min drive, is every shop you want. So nothing missing. We had a great stay!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Holly’s place in Kahana! The location was great and away from some of the more touristy areas of Lahaina and Kaanapali, without being too far. It is close to the beach and some good restaurants, as well as less than 15 minutes from some of the best snorkeling on the island at Honolua Bay. As far as her place goes, Holly has thought of absolutely everything and her Airbnb is well appointed and thoughtfully decorated. We tend to cook a lot while on vacation her kitchen was a joy to use! Many other Airbnb’s we have stayed at do not contain adequate mixing/serving bowls and Tupperware, for example, but using Holly’s kitchen is like using your own and she has everything you could want or need to prepare a great meal for your family. Beautiful space- views and ocean front sounds of crashing waves were amazing. And so much sea turtle activity. Never stayed in a place with such a well stocked kitchen with pans and cooking implements. First rate. Very quiet area and a larger beach for swimming is a couple blocks walk away.

We came here for our 20th anniversary. The views and beach are unparalleled. It is a more private setting and not walkable to downtown Kihei. This was perfect for us because we just wanted a chill place to be. It is still very accessible to the entire island and Kihei is really easy to get to. We will absolutely stay here again when we come back to Maui!

A beautiful location! Right next to the pool, the golf course, and just above the shops, market, and the ocean!

Loved our stay!!! Although it's a condo complex, the room was quiet and private! We enjoyed watching sea turtles from the balcony. We LOVED snorkeling at Honolua Bay! The recommendations from the hosts were priceless and much appreciated!!! 🥰

Beautiful place and area. Right on the beach, which was amazing. Lots of towels, no need to bring your own shampoo, etc. as those are provided. Well stocked kitchen too. Beach chairs, etc. were also provided. Great trip! We will be back!

The stay was special to say the least. It was private and the walkable beach was quiet and beautiful. The town of Kihei has everything you need with close stores, restaurants, gas stations and snorkel rental. The house was perfect for our family with a space our child could sleep free of noise from the rest of the house while we were awake so we could enjoy the ocean from the porch and the jacuzzi tub. Would definitely stay again while on Maui!

Has an awesome view with a relatively short walk to the beach. (We actually saw sea turtles there!!) The location was not far from wherever we wanted to go. The beds were comfy (a big plus for us after multiple back surgeries), as was the sectional sofa. Plenty of room for us to hang out. The kitchen was well stocked and having a washer/dryer available was extremely helpful. I may have missed this in the posting, but the first floor is a separate rentable area than the second floor. Luckily no one was in the first floor so we basically had the place to ourselves. We'd definitely stay again and had a wonderful time!!!

We had an excellent stay at Pookela Paradise! We were on a girls trip and each had our own bedroom! Everyone commented on how comfortable our beds were and how well we all slept every night with windows open and a wonderful cross breeze in the house. Coming from hot, humid Florida I was worried about not having AC. The temperature was perfect. There was a beautiful kitchen/dining area but we ate out most of the time. We enjoyed drinks on the porch in the morning and late afternoon. The area was great for traveling to Haleakala at 4:30 am. Made it in a little over an hour for sunrise. Also close to the Road to Hana, beaches, and an hour to Old Lahaina Luau. The town of Makawao had some cute shops and restaurants. We could walk to town from the Airbnb. I would definitely recommend Mark’s Airbnb to friends/family and would stay there again! Mark is a great host!

Beautiful condo, had everything we needed. Well stocked kitchen, condo was clean and comfortable. Air conditioning unit in living room and bedroom kept us cool and comfortable. Great location with park and beach right across the street and walking distance to lots of restaurants and shops. I'll definitely be coming back.

Robert was amazing to deal with! Great communicator, very accommodating of the guest, and seemed very genuine. The Westin at Kaanapali speaks for itself! It has everything…pools, great location, awesome beach front ! Had a great ocean view! And view of the pools! The room was very spacious. It was just two of us but we could have had two more people on the sofa bed easily. Small kitchen with full fridge and ice maker allowed for in room meal accommodations and cold refreshments. Spacious bathroom . It was five star plus! We had a hard time leaving… it was perfect and there is always so much to do in Hawaii.

The new Kula Jewel is an amazing property with an incredible panoramic view of the island with an exceptionally cozy and spacious interior and a lovely porch. The main living area and kitchen were beautifully designed and highly functional which made us feel at home. The master bedrooom was so relaxing with a great mattress and was made even better when opening the windows at night and listening to the gentle rhythm of raindrops falling. The master bathroom design was brilliant. Pamela and the property manager Jim made sure our young daughter was well taken care of by setting up a comfortable pullout twin size bed in the Master so she could stay in the same room with us and not be scared. The other two bedrooms were spacious and well equipped, we just didnt need to use them. Pamela is the best host we have ever had the pleasure of working with on Airbnb. Her commnication was superb, recommendations for what to do and where to eat on the island spot on, and we cant wait to come back!

The resort is older but well maintained. Beautiful landscaping, friendly staff. nice pool area, BBQ & sand bottom hot tub. we did not have a lanai but there is a group BBQ area. I enjoyed the gym and the peaceful surroundings. The beach is across the street. All in all a wonderful vacation experience.

Amazing!! Very relaxing. We had dinner almost every night on the balcony at sunset. We enjoyed that so much more than going out to dinner. Very quiet property. Close to everything. Had a great time. It was clean and had everything we needed for the week.

We stayed at Sandy’s place for a week and let me tell you it was a blessing we found this place on here ! Beautiful view of the ocean right out the back door ! With everything I needed for me and my little family . Sandy was very attentive to responding fast to any questions I had . The place is perfect for your family getaway ! Definitely will be back someday

We just can't say enough good things. Pictures looked excellent but you never know what you'll find in reality. Our unit was even better than the pictures. Host was amazing. Neighborhood is peaceful. Close to two awesome beaches. Beaches not over crowded. We almost had one to ourselves. If we're back in Maui this will be the first place I call. The price is simply amazing for what you get.

The unit was very comfortable and had a great balcony with sliding glass wall. The Honua Kai building has great amenities. Great place!

Mark' place was as described. Clean, fully stocked with everything you need or could think of to include beach chairs, boogie boards and snorkel gear if needed. View from the lanai was spectacular. Only comment I have is the mattress on the bed could have been better, besides that Mark's place was perfect for me and my wife.

We booked an entire week at Jenny’s place. Check-in was easy and there was ample parking. It was exactly as the pictures showed with great views of the ocean and beach from high atop the 4th floor. The unit had AC for the warm days but we absolutely loved the cool breeze that would carry straight through the unit with the front window shades opened. Sands of Kahana was a beautiful property with beach access, grills to use, a large pool and a really nice restaurant/bar that was reasonably priced. We enjoyed our morning walks to nearby Hawaiian Village Coffee to grab a drink and a light pastry. Other amenities nearby include snorkel shops, a sushi restaurant, general store and cafe. We really enjoyed and made use of the beach chairs and umbrella as we swam at nearby Kapalua Beach and Kaanapali Black Rock. Jenny was so friendly and responsive with her emails outlining all you needed to know about the property and surrounding area. We highly recommend this property and will be back!

I live on Maui & have stayed at Honua Kai several times. This was the cleanest, nicest unit I’ve ever stayed at! Jill & Terry are great owners, very responsive and accessible. Mahalo for letting us stay in your incredible home! 🤙🏽
