Castle holiday rentals in Italy

I am so glad that we decided to stay in Vico Equense and that we chose to stay at Maria's airbnb. Vico Equense is the perfect spot for a relaxing holiday with plenty to do close by and a very short amount of travelling required by car or train to access the larger tourist destinations. The airbnb itself is really impressive - the castle is stunning and the apartment itself has everything you need. The shared communal spaces outside couldn't really be better, we visited in May so didn't have access to the beach (but there are plenty of options nearby) but the pool was great and not too cold to swim in, and the terraces were great for relaxing and sun lounging. Honestly it is hard to find a fault with the airbnb or Vico Equense itself, it was a great holiday destination and we will definitely come back.

The time spent in Querceto was just marvellous; the village is unique and the apartments are respecting the original architecture. Anna and the whole service team have always been kind and available and most of all....always with a smile on their faces ( even when I needed help for my son who knocked hisself inside the bathroom......🤦‍♂️) ! So definitely recommended!

Claudia was a wonderful help and manager. For us it was unfortunate as the room we reserved sprung a leak that could not new fixed in a day. However, the room we did get was smaller and much different view as the room we chose and paid for had a breathtaking view of the town and rolling hills of Tuscany to 4 less windows that looked upon the green tree branches. Be sure and bring shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, coffee for provided pot. These were nothing that compares to the ambiance of everywhere around you. The beautiful restaurant “Lil Castle” 200 steps to your right was superb. Adela and the chef were over the top with experience , great cooking, Adela was filled with information about wine, the food, and surrounding area. Such a wonderful new friend.

This chic Air BnB is the best we have ever been to — and we’ve travelled widely. Lovely from top to bottom, stylish high ceilings and elegant feel…big windows, extremely comfortable beds with excellent bedding, a courtyard that affords peace and quiet and privacy from the hubbub of Milan . The deep tub was a fantastic bonus after a day of walking. Great division of space and thoughtful details. Super convenient. Our host was incredibly responsive and helpful, offering clear directions plus local recommendations that were spot on.

If i could give 20 stars, it would not be enough to state what this Torre Riva is all about! Peaceful, private, quiet, ancient, historic! Perhaps the most remarkable place we've stayed! The village below is quiet, the townspeople are friendly. The entire area is a picture. You will feel history. Mario is an absolute genius with how to send the baggage up. The renovations that he continued with, the woodwork! The way up, is only the best part...get in shape. The village is worth the walk within all the alleys. A picture at every step. Absolute THANK YOU, MARIO...(And your wife to interpret) Grazie.

Lorenzo’s beautiful home tucked away in this pretty valley is a little piece of paradise! The property was no problem to find with Lorenzo’s directions and the self check-in was easy. The space was spotless and tastefully decorated — the pictures only tell half the story! It seemed like around every corner around the property, there was another thoughtful, pretty sitting area to enjoy the view, a meal or a quiet moment. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen equipped with everything you need. The location is a bit off the beaten path yet only an hour from the sea or Sienna and an hour and a half from Florence, perfect for exploring the region some days and just enjoying to house and gardens on others. The nearby village has a small but well-stocked grocery store, a nice little bar for aperitivo on the village square and a couple of very good restaurants that cater to the locals — we felt very much at home there immediately! Thank you, Lorenzo, for such a wonderful experience under the Tuscan sun!

Karin was the best host! Not only took she care of the arrival of friends of mine who came in the middle of the night on a sunday but she also helped us to organize a vet when my dog got sick. She always reacted immediately when I texted her, gave us good recommendations about restaurants (in the area as well as in Perugia) and organized an amazing cooking class for us. We really felt like we were at home and the athmosphere at the house, the beautiful park and pool area was so relaxing. As soon as one enters this house it feels like you are in another world and you can just forget your everyday life. Thank you so much for everything Karin, we will be back!!

Lorenza’s palazzo was an amazing and unique place to stay. It’s situated in the historical heart of Giovinazzo,2 metres from the marine promenade. We had a spectacular view of the sea from our bedroom’s window. The special compliment and thanks to Lorenza’s hospitality: the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking,she generously left for us wine,beer,coffee pods,biscuits and even pasta . The bathrooms have all necessary paraphernalia and more. The place is immaculately clean,moreover Lorenza cleaned our bedrooms and changed the bedding/towels in the middle of our stay. You need a car or to be prepared to travel by train as no taxi service in Giovinazzo . There is quite noisy from morning to late evening around which is no hosts’ fault at all ,but it adds to the atmosphere of holiday.The bells’ ringing and birds singing gives additional charm to the palazzo. Very impressed and highly recommend Lorenza’s beautiful home . Unforgettable experience,we’ll definitely come back again.

Pierluigi and Enrico are lovely hosts! They made us feel so welcome at the manor and went out of their way to accommodate our requests for dinners/a speaker/lights. The manor is beautifully maintained, they come every day to clean bugs because the manor is in the country. Because of that it's hardly noticeable! The beds are all comfy and the rooms are well laid out. Plenty of beds for a group of 15 and the bathrooms were all clean as well! Truly a magical stay! If you want to have a big event or celebration Enrico will hook you up with everything you need and happily accommodates special requests. There's also a sweet doggy, Pluto who hangs out in the yard, a pony who rroams the back area and a few kitties who will occassionally submit to some pets. Couldn't be happier that we chose to spend part of our trip here!

I highly recommend! This castle was amazing. The location is beautiful. The castle had modern amenities with the charm of its original build and decor. I felt like I was in a movie staying in the rooms there. It is also an open museum so people will be touring it during the day time and I thought that was fun to take the historical tour as well. It was a great experience. The host was so friendly and helpful when we needed ideas on places to go.

Wow! What an incredible property. We loved our time staying at ‘the tower’. It is a beautiful setting among the olives and vines on a hilltop. The surrounding area is beautiful and it’s an easy walk to local vineyards and restaurants. Only one caveat: the WiFi is very weak and not suitable for video calls.

Rikke and Lorenzo are really friendly and hospitable. So we got a free tour through the castle and wine cellar with tasting. beautiful to receive the passion and the family history. The surroundings, the beautiful stay with beautiful swimming pool are etched in our memory. Highly recommended for those who love peace and want to explore Umbria!

The place exactly matches the photos. It was and is very clean and tidy. The pool is large and very well maintained, like the entire complex. Absolutely recommended, we are very glad we were able to spend our vacation here. I can only agree with all the positive reviews!

Francis and Angela were gracious hosts and the location was convenient to a major bus line with frequent stops to visit other destinations. We were able to get to Venice in 30-40 minutes.

The accommodation is simple, however, the friendliness of the town, views and uniqueness of staying in a castle were fabulous. Ludmila was a friendly and helpful host and we had a lovely comfortable stay. We recommend highly.

Beautiful villa surrounded by vineyards and countryside. The nearby village of Panzano is so picturesque with lovely restaurants. I can also recommend visiting other Chianti towns and especially the market on a Saturday in Greve. The hosts Filippo and his father Carlo couldn't do enough for us and the communication was superb. The villa is so spacious and makes you feel right at home with comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and a garden with a pool that's just the icing on the cake. It was very warm during our visit and the fans provided were very welcomed. Every room is also equipped with mosquito nets on the windows. We made use of the large BBQ a few nights and also had a lovely wine tasting one evening which I can highly recommend. We were very sad to leave Villa Reggine and hope to return one day. Grazie!

Great place to stay.Beautiful scenery and ambience.Felt like I was living like a local and got an authentic experience of being secluded in an Italian countryside.Great experience to see the old charm of seein how a noble lived in a castle and beautiful architecture.Very classic, luxury, elegant feel.Alex and his Mom and Dad were very welcoming, friendly people.Very nice of them to let us experience their beautiful home.Always responsive to any of our needs.Thanks again, much appreciated and would highly recommend.

We stayed at the beautiful place for 7 days. We were received by Gianluca and Rita super friendly. We felt right at home. The apartment was very clean, was super equipped (more than you are used to from an apartment). If you thought "Ah , that would be good to have" it was there. Otherwise, you could contact Gianluca and within seconds the wish was granted. He went above and beyond, even took us to shop. That was super sweet. The view is breathtaking. The area is very very quiet. On the beach you were almost alone. Very pleasant. You can walk to the town in 15-20 minutes. There you could visit cute little restaurants. All around , even with our two dogs, it was perfect. The property is very pet-friendly. Our highlight was that after we asked Gianluca, we were allowed to pick figs from his garden. Indescribably delicious and an incredible holiday feeling!Glad to come back

Really nice place! Fun and unique experience for those like us who have children, space to play, games available, characteristic setting. Property equipped with all comforts immersed in the Piacentine hills. Very kind and helpful owners. Highly recommended.

Staying at the castle was truly a dream come true! What a magnificent place, and the village and people were so friendly and helpful! Our breakfast was so fresh and tasty every morning, and so plentiful. Staying at LaSassa was one of the highlights of our entire stay in Italy, and you truly felt like a king and queen! The renaissance details, authentic stone, painting and old touches really added to the charm. I was so sad to leave, and would recommend everyone to stay at this truly unique and wonderful place!! It was so nice to be away from the crowds of Rome and Florence, and the view of the Tuscan Valley from the top of the castle was breathtaking! I can’t say enough wonderful things about staying at the castle. Thank you so much Giacomo and staff for your wonderful hospitality, and making our trip to Italy the trip of a lifetime!!

Amazing experience in a period property with great character and outstanding historical relevance. The garden and outdoors were glorious, blessed with a lucky and truly amazing September sun, we enjoyed warm Italian hospitality with top-notch care and outstanding responsiveness. Thank you very very much for the experience, what a glorious family history with this unique castle location!

Great place, excellent facilities, large open space for relaxing outside. Very close to Lazise, beach and transport! Would highly recommend and would stay again! Thank you to our hosts
