Hotel holiday rentals in Illinois River

We stayed here for 12 days and really enjoyed it. It was quiet, peaceful, and clean. We will definitely be staying here again whenever we are visiting the Urbana Champaign area.

We went up to get married there! The hosts went above and beyond! 10/10 we all had our own bathroom to get ready in and we all piled into room 2 and played card games that they had provided and were able to get cozy all together and had a memorable trip. The balancing was amazing for pictures, and beautiful first thing in the morning watching the sunrise and looking at the scenery. The church was stunning, so perfect for a small intimate ceremony. It was just perfect, price was awesome for everything that came along with using the B&B. Jordan and her husband are amazing! Have recommended this place to everyone, we will be returning here to celebrate our anniversary & hopefully play a round of golf.

It's a standard motel room, which worked just fine for our needs. Room was cleaned well, which isn't always the case at this price.We appreciate that pets are allowed. Need to bring your own internet hotspot. A rail line is across the street, but we rarely noticed the sound; it's far noisier downtown. Sarah corresponded more quickly than expected and helped us figure out how to fix a scheduling error, although text/email conversation is slow and prone to misunderstanding. Being new to Air B&B, we struggled to get all the steps right. The interface wasn't intuitive and took much, much longer to get right than a single phone call would have. ABB's linking the reservation process to a single phone number and assuming smartphone access also slowed down the communications.

I was impressed with the cleanliness of the place. Smelled very clean when we walked in. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. The place met all my needs and so close to UIUC campus with plenty of places to eat along the way. We look forward to future visits! Thank you!!

Stayed there for 2 months. It's a pretty good deal if you don't mind not being in a luxury-type place. I'm very happy to say that we did not see a single bug (minus a tiny little spider) the entire time we were there. Be aware that the washer and dryer are not hooked up, so they cannot be used. Nonetheless, I still think the price is quite fair.

our GPS couldn't find the address but was close enough to figure out it was the Motel 6. We will stay again when in the area. Thank you!

Fun and spacious pool with good hours. Clean room. Right near expressway for easy travel to and from Peoria.

This is a nicely renovated Motel 6. No carpet was good to see, bathroom spacious with all new fixtures, very comfy bed with soft sheets, microwave and frig as well as a tv. Worth the price .

I always love staying at the Foxmore when I’m in town for work. Now that it’s warm out I tried the veranda on the second floor and loved hanging out there with a book!

Stayed here for one week while attending to family matters and really enjoyed the Carnegie. It was right downtown where we could walk to visit the local stores and restaurants. The locals are all so friendly and made us feel right at home. I enjoyed the close proximity to the river and a wonderful park and observation tower. The room was private and cozy; the building is amazing. Renovations maintained the historical aspects of the old library, while the rooms were comfortable and clean. I will definitely book with Brandy for future visits to the town Where the Rails Cross the River!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. Our room was very clean and enjoyed staying in such a unique place. We definitely will reserve a room again the next time we are in Chillicothe.

Our recent stay at Foxmore Lodge in Shelbyville was nothing short of wonderful. We stayed in a room with two queen beds, and the restored rustic-modern decor created a warm, inviting atmosphere that felt both cozy and upscale. The lodge offers impressive amenities: excellent security, an elevator for easy access, and a well-thought-out common area with a refrigerator, washer/dryer, ironing station, microwave, and coffee stations—everything you might need for a comfortable stay. Did I mention the veranda? What made the experience even more special for me was the building itself. When I was a child, this very corner was home to the drugstore I used to visit with my mother. Seeing it brought back a wave of fond memories, and I couldn’t be happier to see the space restored and reimagined with such care. I highly recommend Foxmore Lodge to anyone visiting Shelbyville—it’s a perfect mix of history, hospitality, and modern convenience.

The place is spotlessly clean and looks exactly like the photos. Brady is very friendly and responsive to questions.

It's a true gem of a small town. I love how they restored an older building rather than building something "new". It has character, charm and was incredibly clean (which I appreciate). As someone who was traveling alone, I felt very secure staying there and strongly recommend it. I look forward to staying there again!
