We called this place "the mansion." The views are absolutely breathtaking and the accommodations pristine. The beautiful beach is across the street and the hotel nearby has an outside bar on that beach. We ended up renting a car because we could tell driving in Crete was easier than places like Mykonos and Athens. We ventured to a few places like Richtis Gorge and the downtown harbor; excellent shopping with some closed (no vehicles) streets. We wished we had more time here! Our host was very kind and also helpful in booking the car rental after our arrival. We highly recommend Villa Phi!! Thank you.

We were greeted by Sofia's father and mother. Despite the language barrier, the welcome was warm. They answered our questions without any problems. We also had fruits from their garden. It is a strategic point to visit the east of the island (Agios Nikolaos, Sitia, Lerapetra, Lassithi Plateau). We recommend visiting the Kafenion just below the cottage. We are in the life of the village and the bosses are adorable... authentic!! Small downside on one of the rooms which is windowless and not separate from the toilets. But for a week, we can adapt. Don't hesitate to discover this place

This place is the best place to stay, quite and private, outdoor patio for enjoy cafe or beer but close to great public beach with free parking or waking 20 minutes, same time remote spot to go anywhere and not staying in crazy busy city where is night live and traffic like crazy. 9 minutes to Agios Nikolas if you like that , 1.5 h to Vai beach where Palm trees like in tropical place, 30 minutes to Iropetra and Myrtos on African side on island, beautiful. 30 minutes to 4000 years olive tree and waterfall canyon.
