Tina and Torfi are truly warm people who love to welcome others into their B and B and into their lives. The units are a part of the house and there is always a very welcoming, happy atmosphere and much humor and discussion. The bedrooms and shared bathrooms are very tidy and comfortable and clean, especially the bathrooms. For folks wanting to be off the beaten path and looking for relatively cheap lodging, you won't find a better jumping off point than Freyja! Tina and Torfi also are extremely helpful with local sightseeing tips and we went almost everywhere they sent us, much to our satisfaction. This includes some places not known about wisely by tourists. All in all a great experience!

This is one of the best Bed and Breakfast experiences you can have in Iceland! The host family lives there, giving you a homey feeling, a wonderful homemade breakfast and good conversation with ideas about what to do in the area if you ask.

Wir waren die einzigen Gäste und hatten das Anwesen für uns alleine. Die Nutzung der Sauna und des Kaminofens ist toll. Die Fußbodenheizung im Aufenthaltsraum war sehr angenehm. Es wurde extra Frühstück für uns bereitgestellt (Brot, Müsli, frisches Obst, Joghurt etc.). Von Egilsstadir benötigt man ca. 30 Minuten, dafür ist der Ausblick in die Natur herrlich. Klare Empfehlung!

Everything was just perfect. Very nice room and bathroom and we had also opportunity to use laundry what we really appreciated because all our stuff was completely wet (raining whole day). Inga and her husband were so nice and helpful and also gave us some tips what to visit. Breakfast was very good. Thank you so much!

We had a wonderful stay with Karen and Johann! They were both incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. The room was excellent—clean, cozy, and the beds were super comfortable, exactly what we needed after a long day of travelling. We especially loved the garden kitchen, which was perfect for making our morning coffee and breakfast before heading out for a full day of adventures. The location is super convenient for the airport, and having a spot to park our rental car right outside the house was a big plus. Highly recommend staying here—we’ve already booked to come back for the night before our flight home. Lovely place and lovely hosts!

I cannot recommend this stay enough. You truly feel welcome and at home at the farmhouse. Breakfast is great and the host family is always happy to provide recommendations for anything; they gave us the spots where we ended up buying our woolen sweaters. Additionally, they have fresh cows milk every morning with breakfast. The space is clean, homey, and well kept.

great accomdation close to Myvatn. Easy to access. well sized with good bathroom, very comfy bed and breakfast included. I managed to see the northern lights there which made this stay even more special.

Had a nice stay in the guesthouse. Everything is brand new, really comfortable shower and bed. Breakfast is ready the night before so you can take it the next day whenever you want.

Hébergement conforme à la description. Petit déjeuner inclus, varié et copieux. Personnel agréable et accueillant. Code pour fermer la porte de chambre très peu sécurisé : celui de la chambre à un chiffre près. C’est très surprenant.

Absolutely amazing!!! This was our one airbnb to break up a campervan trip around the whole ring road and we couldn’t have asked for anything more. The food was all homemade and delicious, especially the bread and waffles. Our host was so lovely and showed us around the farm where we had such a great time meeting the sheep and horses! After passing by so many in Iceland, it was a real treat to be able to pet and see the horses up close. The spaces were perfect as well, nice big rooms with an attached bathroom. Fridge and freezer space, laundry, coffee, tea, and a warm welcome from the family dog, we can’t wait to come back! <3

Sehr schöne Unterkunft. Supernette, hilfsbereite Gastgeberin. In allen Belangen alles top. Diese Unterkunft gehörte zu den Besten der 11 Unterkünfte, die wir in 13 Tagen hatten. Also, kommen und geniessen!

Sonja accommodation is great value, Blönduós is a beautiful place and her accommodation is also very nice, the facilities are modern and clean and there is lot’s of space to relax and read, Sonja also very kindly let me have breakfast at 5.30am in the morning as I needed an early start on the morning of my stay, also provided are traditional Icelandic slippers that I thought were very cool.

This was such a nice stay. The location was a bit remote, but that added to the charm of the place. The room that we booked was a family room in one of the main buildings. The dining area and sitting areas were clean, comfortable and inviting, and there were only two bedrooms in the whole building, so for the most part, it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The wifi was fast and reliable, and we didn't have any issues with anything. Breakfast was also excellent!

Wir übernachteten 1 Nacht und hatten eine schöne Zeit. Die Unterkunft ist sauber und schaut so aus wie auf den Fotos. Man fährt von der Ringstraße ab und fährt dann ein paar Kilometer auf einer Schotterstraße ins Nichts, sehr coole Location. Das Frühstück war an sich sehr nett in einem schönen Nebenhaus mit ein paar verschiedenen Optionen, leider gingen wohl alle Gäste gleichzeitig frühstücken, wodurch es etwas eng wurde. Aber alles in allem waren wir sehr zufrieden!

Super lokalizacja. Pokój bardzo przestronny z pięknym widokiem na lodowiec. Bardzo dobre śniadania. Możliwość skorzystania z gorących tub wodnych jest bardzo dużym atutem tego miejsca. Bardzo dobry kontakt i super obsługa. Gorąco polecam.
