Holiday rentals with a hot tub in Grímsnes- og Grafningshreppur

We really liked the place and the hot tub...Only problem...We had the window open the second night and there were so many midges coming in....... It has nothing to do with the house but might be good to know... Apart from that we had a very good time.

Vi havde en skøn uge i det hyggelige hus på landet nede af grusvejen. Værterne var meget hjælpsomme og fandt også tid til en rundvisning, hvor vi fik lov at se dyrene på gården. Både får, geder, køer og heste. Alt i huset var pænt og rent, og sengene var meget komfortable. Køkkenet havde alt hvad man havde brug for til nem madlavning, og værterne havde givet gode instruktioner til seværdigheder, restauranter og indkøb i området. Dejligt ophold!

Het uitzicht vanuit de woonkamer is adembenemend. De villa is goed te bereiken en ligt op minder dan tien minuten rijden van Fludir, waar je boodschappen kunt doen en naar de secret lagoon kunt gaan. Perfecte locatie dus. We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad in de villa!

We had an amazing time at Emma and Oskar’s place. The location was serene and breathtaking. Beautiful views of the water and wildlife. The home was extremely cozy, tasteful, and had everything we could ask for. The deck had gorgeous views, a wonderful hot tub, the water was always hot, the beds were comfortable and the entire place had a cozy feel. Hosts gave very clear check in instructions which made it a breeze. The home is close to everything you need. We had an amazing time and highly recommend to anyone traveling to Iceland.

This home offered a cozy place to stay for our family of 9 as we visited the Golden Circle. The rural location was so peaceful. The kitchen was nice for meal preparation and the beds were very comfortable. We would definitely recommend this home for your stay!

Our 4 night stay in Larus’ Lakefront Villa & nearby attractions of the Golden Circle were one of the highlights of our trip-we highly recommend! His home is spectacular in every way, including a hot tub, sauna, a large living room/gathering space w/well appointed kitchen. Directly on a lake, without others in close proximity, it’s ideal for those that want to experience the splendor of this part of Iceland more privately. As a host, Larus goes above & beyond! We had brought some equipment to fish the river 100 yards away, but not small enough tackle. When we emailed him asking location of a tackle shop, after returning from a daily activity, we were surprised & delighted to find 2 more rods & 2 new trays of tackle appropriate for the trout in the river; giving 4 of our group the chance to do some fishing in Iceland. This house is beautiful and the view is amazing. We loved soaking in the hot tub while gazing at the glacier in the distance, surrounded by trees. There are stairs to access the house, but we were able to navigate them just fine. The nearby town had a lovely spa, Laugarvatn Fontana, that we enjoyed, and we recommend the restaurant Linden. We stayed two nights and wish we could have stayed longer. The host was responsive and friendly. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful place and in the perfect location for exploring the Golden Circle. The house was plenty big for the eight adults in our group, and we were all able to spread out, but also come together for meals and games. Although we didn’t use it, the hot tub was a great amenity. Our host was wonderful and very responsive when I contacted her with a question before booking and also when I needed to turn off the security system. We would highly recommend staying here.

We absolutely LOVED the Villa. It was immaculate, modern and so well stocked. Hosts were ideal and it was one of my favorite venues ever. So many comfortable beds and the ideal spot to achieve our bucket list objective of seeing the Northern Lights. We’ll never forget this stay. Thank you!

Ein super Airbnb. Modern eingerichtet aber total gemütlich. Wir haben uns gleich wie Zuhause gefühlt. Der Hot Tube auf der Terasse: Ein Traum. Mit der Beschreibung super zu finden. Die Gastgeber sind immer telefonisch zu erreichen und kümmern sich hervorragend.

AMAZING!!! Runar’s place was even better than we could have imagined. The Northern Lights were extremely visible to the naked eye 3 of the 4 nights we stayed. The back deck was lovely to watch Aurora dance in the sky. The furniture and bed (we only used 1 of the 4) were extremely clean and comfortable! To our surprise, the bathroom floor was heated, which was a lovely touch! We absolutely loved our stay here. It was extremely peaceful and secluded but also so close to town. We have already started talking coming back to Iceland and staying here again. It is the perfect home in the perfect location on the Golden Circle.

The house and views were amazing. We had a family of 7 (teens to adults) and fit nicely in the house. The location was great and had close access to a town, national park, crater, etc…. The host was very responsive and the house was clean and had everything we needed. It couldn’t have been a better place to stay.

This rental is on the grounds of a beautiful, historic church, and also very old ancient church, museum and archeological dig! There is also a great farm to table restaurant on the grounds-we had delicious lamb and salmon, kombuchi too. The views are great also. Two large bathrooms. Bring your own shampoo and body soap. Hand soap was provided. Quiet. Comfy beds. Kitchen pans ok but minimal. This is a good location for day trips to Goosfalls, S. Region, and National Park with mid-Atlantic rift. We loved this place and would come back.

Wir waren über Silvester für eine Woche in Omars Haus. Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit und auch Glück mit dem Wetter. Konnten viel unternehmen und hatten an drei Abenden Nordlichter. Das Haus ist so wie beschrieben und die Lage ist wunderschön. Wir hatten einen 4x4 mit Spikes. Der war nötig um zum Haus zu gelangen, da die Straßen sehr eisig und verschneit waren. Aber damit war es kein Problem. Jederzeit würden wir wieder hier übernachten.

We booked the hut for the private geothermal hot tub and although it takes 1-2 hours to fill it was absolutely amazing! We especially enjoyed the peace and quiet, there is nothing else than a nice view and smell of pine with the sound of some birds around.

Très bon séjour, le spa en arrivant après une journée fraîche a été très apprécié. Logement spacieux et petit + : lave vaisselle dans la cuisine!

Really comfortable cabin in an exceptional location with fantastic view. If you enjoy Scandinavian style comfort and solitude in a scenic lakeside setting then this is the place. Everything was as described, very easy to find with the precise satnav directions from the hosts. The sauna, hot tub and decking chairs overlooking the lake are a real plus. Ivar was a responsive host. Nearest town for shops and restaurants is approx 25 min drive. Be aware that the wooden steps leading down to the cabin from the parking place are quite steep and with no handrail.

We absolutely LOVED our stay here! It was perfect! Very spacious and clean! Had a hot tub, which was nice to go into after hiking all day. The host was also very nice and helpful! She rechecked the place for me when I thought I left something at the place. The views were also amazing!! If we ever go back to Iceland, my family and I will definitely be staying here again! :)

Very nice and cozy cabin. Conveniently located if you’re looking to explore the southwestern island by vehicle. ~5min drive to the town of Selfoss for groceries and supplies. The hot tub is a nice addition. A private room for each of two couples and a loft that slept our two kids. Worked nicely for our family.

Marteinn welcomed us in his lovely house. It was clean and comfortable and there were lots of birds around the house. He was very quick in responding and we felt right at home. Thank you!

Very beautiful cottage, we could stay so relaxing and cozy mood. Especially warm waterspring bath of outside, it was so nice to relieve fatigue. I really recommend this cottage to other people.
