Beachfront holiday rentals in Gooseberry Beach

Friendly host! Allowed us to bring our 4 little dogs! Hard to find a host that will allow this. Clean and peaceful property.

We had a great stay at this Airbnb. Our hosts were very nice and Jenifer was extremely accommodating. The space was very comfortable , clean, and the kitchen had everything you need to prepare meals. The area is very walkable with many great restaurants, bars, and an awesome coffee shop very close by. Parking was perfect and a huge plus was the ability to take our boat also!!

Joe was extremely helpful and accommodating. He was flexible enough to offer an early check in time that aligned with when our family would be arriving to town. Both the house and the surrounding area are absolutely beautiful. We went down the road to Evelyn’s Drive In for seafood and ocean views and would highly recommend.

The Sea Glass Cottage was clean, had amazing views, organized, had everything we needed, and was located on what appeared to be the best part of the island. It was one of the few places where the home patio facing the water without a street obstruction. The decoration and amenities were in perfect condition, and decor was so cute and cozy. It was clearly thought through by a home decor professional. Great place for a couples getaway...coffee on the patio at sunrise, walks around historic farms and nature reserves, crabbing at the dedicated beach to the home and sunset walks on the sandy beach just a short drive away. Emily was so responsive to our questions especially since this was our first time to Air B&B...may have been too numerous. She was a delightful host.

We had such a lovely stay at Fly Fisher's Cottage! It was really easy to get to local restaurants and places to visit from here, and just as nice to walk around the neighborhood and visit the beach. The house was spotless and had everything we needed, and is very stylish to boot. Clare was super accommodating too. I would happily stay here again if we're in the area! P.s. Definitely visit Rome Point Cafe just around the corner, and try their griddled banana bread!

We stayed here for three nights with our toddler and newborn and had such a great time. The house was super clean, which made a big difference with little ones, and the layout worked really well for our family. The host was really responsive and easy to communicate with, which we appreciated. We were lucky to have amazing weather during our stay, and the outdoor space made it even better. Overall, it was a comfortable, easy, and enjoyable trip—we’d definitely stay again!

I was so happy to have a room with a view of the ocean (though it included a view of some telephone lines and street lights, just fyi) and to be literally across the street from the beach. The room was spacious and calm, with lots of natural light, the bed was huge and comfy and clean, the parking was easy, and I really thought this was a great base for my Newport trip. Note; I stayed int he original building.

Thank you the place was awesome no complaints here me and the family had a great time and from some one that didn’t grow up seeing a place like this one this created a great memories for me and the family once again thank you.

We had an amazing stay at Newport Beach Hotel & Suites’s! Our first night there was a wedding party who stayed up quite late but the hotel was very accommodating when it came to moving our room due to some late night noise. Kris at the front desk was absolutely amazing! Extremely friendly, going above and beyond answering questions and making our stay relaxing and enjoyable. The location was right near the Newport downtown but far enough away that it wasn't too crowded when walking for coffee or grabbing lunch. Lastly, the rooms/bathrooms were renovated recently and were very nicely done!

I love this location. Huge rooms. Comfortable king size bed . Quiet. Great views. You can walk to this little beach around the corner. The kitchen has everything you need. Pots, pans, dishes, coffee maker. I bring my own food and cook. The tv has cable but I didn't see how to get Netflix. Also there are two big bathrooms. They have a pool but I haven't used it since I go in April. Newport is a quick drive over the bridge (there is a $4 toll fee- if you have EZpass no big deal). Plenty fo shops and restaurants in Newport and of course the huge mansions from the 1890's. It's about $50 to go into two of them. Or the Breakers, the most famous one is $35pp. Check out Bellevue Ave, its fabulous. I also like to eat at the Red Parrot. There are plenty of local shops to browse, and the Wharf where you can walk along the water. Parking is free in the winter/early spring. Check the signs cause they do have metered parking. I can usually find something, and there are lots you can pay per hour.

We stayed for only 1 night. The description and reviews are accurate. The house was exactly what we needed. The location is great with an easy walk into town. Our son caught 3 fish off the dock. We loved our quick stay and would absolutely stay again.

Absolutely loved my stay! The Airbnb is a serene, tranquil spot—perfect for a peaceful getaway. The waterfront location was breathtaking, offering calming views of the water. Kayaking in the mornings was an absolute highlight, with the water so still and clear. Though the pool wasn’t open during my stay, it didn’t take away from the experience at all. I can only imagine how relaxing it will be once it's ready. Still, with all the other amenities and the sheer quiet of the place, I hardly missed it. This was the ideal escape to disconnect, recharge, and enjoy nature in its purest form. Highly recommend if you're looking for a peaceful retreat to unwind and find some tranquility.

Holly was a great host. She communicated well to help us find and enter her place. We were greeted with fresh cut flowers and fresh eggs from her chickens. Like others say, the stairs are steep and skinny, but we thought that added to the charm. Everything was super clean and we felt right at home. The bed was very comfortable, too. We visited Newport while here, and the drive was easy and scenic. We had a wonderful stay.

We came in for a graduation so we needed something simple that we could enjoy for downtime but knew we were not going to spend a lot of time there. This met our needs. Our host was kind enough to help with a few simple requests that made our stay easier.

The cottage is one of our favorite places we have ever stayed!! Jonas was incredibly communicative and helpful. Can’t speak highly enough of this rental!

While the weather did not cooperate (it rained the entire time) the cottage and views made up for the weather. From the table to the couch the views are wonderful. The cottage is very well stocked from towels and blankets to the kitchen. We did not need anything that wasn't supplied. The bathroom is small but functional. The shower might not work well for a larger person. The neighborhood is quiet and feels very safe and peaceful. We enjoyed our long weekend and would book this cottage again.

Tina's BnB is so peaceful and in a beautiful setting with a beach. The cottage is right on the bay - sunsets are stunning. The bed is very comfortable, which is unusual for most BnBs. It is in a quiet neighborhood, and I slept well each night! Everything was clean. Even though I ate out nightly, the kitchen had all that you need to prepare a dinner. There is also a shed with beach toys and chairs. Tina checked in a few times through the message app and offered assistance, but I had everything I needed. I loved my stay and will return in the future!

Gorgeous view, great location, clean, comfortable, I can’t say enough good things. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We day-tripped to Boston and spent a lot of time in Newport, but we also LOVED the small town of Wickford that was close by. Lots of good restaurants. But I can honestly say I would have been content to just hang around the house and use the hot tub and kayaks. The back patio is incredible and the view is breathtaking. Get up and watch the sunrise over the water. You’ll thank me later. The place was only surpassed by the incredible hostess. Kelly was ultra-responsive, her restaurant recommendations were great, and she went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we need. Including borrowing her sister’s pack N play so we could have 2 since we had several young kids with us. She set us up with things we didn’t even think to ask for. You can tell she’s been a hostess for a while. I can’t recommend this place enough.

The extra little touches such as quality shampoo, conditioner, shower gel (not Wally World brand), snacks, and of course the pastries upon check in- are so nice. These things tell me that they care about their guests and their experience. Great binder on the “How to use” + suggestions of things to do, restaurants, etc. Very helpful! The best part was how close to the beach this rental is! 100% would stay here again; experience to value ratio = A+ !
