Beginners to advanced, all levels are welcome. We will do a 2-4 hour hike in the Rocky Mountains within a 1 hour drive from Denver. We will meet at a coffee shop 20 mins drive west of downtown and will carpool to the trailhead. We'll go hiking in the mountains, connect with nature, soak in the sunshine, see jaw dropping mountain views, maybe see some wildlife, take snack and water breaks, learn about the wildflowers and trees, make new friends, get some exercise and breathe in the fresh mountain air! We will take as many photos as you'd like and send them to you at the end of the hike. Our hope is that you'll feel healthier and happier after spending time hiking with us and connecting with the beauty of Colorado. There will be an optional group lunch at a unique cafe after the hike or you can buy lunch at the coffee shop and eat at a picturesque spot on the trail. The hike will be easy to moderate for people in good physical shape, but it can be challenging for people who do not exercise regularly. The hike's elevation will be somewhere between 6,000 and 12,000 ft. A car is not required for this experience, but guests who provide their own transportation and help drive others are eligible for a $10 refund. **6/5-8/1, SAT/SUN SUNRISE hikes are $10 off ($39 v $49) due to Yoga on the Rocks. The only change? You'll end at a beautiful vista for breakfast, instead of inside the amphitheater, which you can go into when the event concludes (~8 am). We'll rendezvous for a beautiful, guided, educational hike on a public trail at Red Rocks Park - followed by breakfast in the world-famous amphitheater! After intros, we'll scamper down the trail and set off on a 1.4-mile adventure, with the smallest of elevation gains (~350 feet). Throughout the ~70-minute hike, we'll share stories of the area's history - from the development of the park, to stories of the artists who have played at the amphitheater, to the dinosaurs who used to roam here. Once the hike is over, we'll give you a delicious breakfast and show you how to get into the amphitheater, where you can eat, relax and explore on your own. Prepare to break a little sweat and make your friends jealous of your beautiful photos! FAQ - How hard is it? This hike is rated "easy". We take it slow, and rest often to ensure it's enjoyable for everyone. - No car? Uber/Lyft both run to/from the trail. There are no public transportation options. - Driving yourself? Free parking at the trailhead! - Is the trail stroller friendly? No. - Can I use cannabis? No. If you show up high, you will not be allowed to participate nor given a refund.

I will take you out into the mountains to experience and connect with Colorado on a gorgeous hiking trail! We will usually hike a moderate trail located within 1 hour of our morning meeting spot. This adventure is for all level hikers. Most hikes are a bit challenging, but we will go slow and the views make the adventure well worth it! Our focus will be on immersing ourselves in the vibrancy of nature, so we will take our time and admire the beauty around us! We will walk the trail and experience trees, rocks, snow, and mountain vistas from a new perspective! We can take breaks to admire wildlife and the large and small interconnected communities all around us! In the winter, we will traverse a beautiful snow covered trail up to a scenic view. Microspikes are available if there is any concern about walking in snow or ice. At the top of our trail we will take a relaxing lunch break where you can reflect, hang out, and explore! I will take tons of high quality pictures throughout the experience and send them to you in a google drive folder after your hike. Because of the varying terrain and high altitude in Colorado, the hike may be more challenging depending on your fitness level. We will hike 3 miles (round-trip) up to an old quarry on North Table Mountain where gem-bearing geodes are. Along the way, we will have seven stops outlining the 60-million-year volcanic history and other unique geological features of this area, with plot twists aplenty! With the guidance of a professional geologist, you will also be able to observe and identify a variety of rocks and minerals in ways many would not consider. You will enjoy cool gems, picturesque views, and great company. By the hike’s end, you will learn how to appreciate, read, and view rocks as not just hard things but as nature’s “black-box storytellers!” Other things to note After your booking, I will send you exact coordinates of the parking/trailhead area we will meet at.
