A beautiful rustic cabin in an amazing spot. Lori is a great host and is always near in her farmhouse to communicate and get you what you need. Appleton is not far from Camden / Rockland but has that rustic getaway feel. The option of adding a wonderful soak in the hot tub, wood fired sauna, massage and breakfast are available as well. Sometimes photos just don't do the real thing justice, and this is the case with this property. The property and the views are truly spectacular! The home is huge and has everything you could ever need to live for a week or more. The porch, especially the screened in portion are magnificent and the hot tub was a perfect way to finish up a great day. We had so many plans to adventure out, but found ourselves wanting to stay and enjoy the pristine yard or just sit on the porch and enjoy each others company, we didn't want or need to leave. Having coffee and watching eagles fly by over the river was truly spectacular. Judy is one of the nicest, easiest hosts we have had the pleasure to work with and truly appreciates your patronage. And Hugh's journal on all things Graywood is a lifesaver. Not only would we return again, but we look forward to it.

We love staying at the Brownie. It’s a great home for any active family that appreciates a quiet surrounding. Great home and so close to SR. It can’t be beat.

The house was beautiful and worked perfectly for our group! Check in was very easy, and the house was spotless when we arrived. My favorite part it was the yard - perfect for a big barbecue with a large group.

Wendy’s place was really nice and the hot tub is very private.. we definitely got our usage out of it… Wendy herself was extremely kind and open minded. She didn’t rush us out come check out, instead, she encouraged us to stay a little longer and enjoy the hot tub before our long journey back home.. she gave us good tips about golden gems only locals know about 🥰 She did have a cool book to share reviews but I didn’t have a pen.. also we left grape soda in the fridge from Canada for the next person to try!! The spot was perfect for a weekend of skiing and riding snowmobiles. Exactly what we were looking for in a vacation home. Paul was great at recommending places and his response time was great. Also the wood burning stove made the weekend cozy and perfect.

If you are looking for a simple and comfortable studio in Freeport, this is a great spot! It's a simple walk to a terrific food market, a local park, and all the shops and restaurants downtown. What we loved the most was the short drive to Wolfe's Neck Farm and Winslow Park, and the easy 25 minute drive into the heart of Portland. This was also the perfect landing spot for our elderly dog who struggles with stairs-- we all enjoyed the lovely deck and yard and the safe, peaceful and quiet neighborhood. We didn’t know what to expect at Naughty Dog Island besides peaceful seclusion and alternative living for a few days but we ended up getting so much more from the experience. Kent has everything you would need including pristine filtered drinking water and plenty of battery powered items (fans, lights, cell phone charger) to make it as connected or unplugged as you want. We only really slept, cooked over the open fire, read books, and most importantly swam our dogs until they snored loudly every night. We need to go back again and if everything stays exactly the same it will still be what we need as a getaway.

A beautiful and cozy space with lovely natural light and generous room to spread out. The full kitchen is equipped like a real home, with everything from basic pots and pans to whisks and even nut crackers! A great place for cooking full meals. A nice quiet location, even with its relative proximity to a regularly-traveled road. I'm sensitive to noise and was never bothered by sounds of traffic. Pettengill Farm is only a few minutes up the road, a beautiful place to walk for both dogs and humans and really easy to access multiple times a day. Mandana was always very responsive to communication, and when there was a glitch with Airbnb's fee calculation she was extremely helpful and approachable and took care of it immediately.

Lovely stay at Chris’s. Beautiful location. Close to everything but quiet. Can see the water from every room! Chris is a great host, left us a delicious bag of granola. House was very clean!

Wonderful stay, the place was in a beautiful location, walkable to Wolfe’s Neck Farm where we love to walk. My husband and I were there the first few days, then our adult daughter joined us for two nights. The place is small (described accurately) but the three of us found it very workable. The king bed was very comfortable. There was plenty of outside patio space to lounge and soak up the sun when it was out. This was a work trip for us as we were getting a property in a nearby town ready for sale. We didn’t have time to use the provided kayaks but hope to in a future stay. The hosts very friendly and accommodating, highly recommended this property.

Our stay at Margaret's home was very relaxing and comfortable. Pristine bathroom, kitchen and bedding. The lake view was so much more than we anticipated. It was serene, peaceful, and breathtaking. She went out of her way to answer questions for us about the area, and we left feeling like we just gained a new friend. Jeff and Donna

We had such a great time staying at Emily's awesome retreat. It was our first mini-vacation with our dog and we were looking for some peaceful, wide open space to let her roam free. We absolutely got that with this home and thoroughly enjoyed the town, as well. My family enjoyed an amazing stay at Heather‘s place over the Memorial Day weekend. Plenty of kayaking and paddle boarding, nightly fires and grilling! The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking meals. The shower has great water pressure! We visited several local family hikes and would not hesitate to stay again.

A nice private cottage in a quiet community that was super handy for us to stay until we secured our house in New England. Everything is in place for comfortable living. We lived there for a month long and the hosts were always responsible.

We absolutely loved our visit to Appledore Cottage! It was quaint and perfectly relaxing. The screened in porch was the best place to just sit…very quiet and peaceful!

Home is very expansive with room for multiple families to reside together. Lots of games and activities for all ages. Amazing location within minutes to airport and short drive to downtown

We found the home clean and welcoming. There was plenty of room for all of us and we enjoyed the back deck very much. The kitchen was well equipped and although we did not do any cooking, if we had, everything was there for us. We really liked how private the home was. Had the weather been warmer we definitely would have checked out the pool. It is also very close to Thomaston, Rockland and Owls Head. So much to do in this area. We would recommend this home to anyone who wants a quiet retreat in Maine that is close to the coast.
