We had such a wonderful and memorable stay at Claire's place on our first holiday with our newborn! The accommodation itself was perfect, with the most beautiful views across the lake, grounds and woodland. We saw so much wildlife just from the living room couch! So many muntjak deer, birds, rabbits etc. Such an idyllic and peaceful setting for a relaxing staycation. The woodlands and are so lovely for walks, it feels like you're in the middle of nowhere even though the nearest town is just a few mins drive away. Claire was such a responsive host. She provided very clear instructions and followed up to make sure we had everything we needed for check in. We felt very well looked after and we were so glad to meet her at the end of our stay. We will definitely be returning to The Old Plantation time and time again In the years to come I am sure :) thanks so much Claire for a fantastic stay!

Robbie was a very helpful host and the property was very clean and comfortable. We did have trouble locking the door when we went out but we told Robbie who could work the lock but did say it needed some adjustment. Very good value.

Me my husband and daughter had an amazing stay. Beautiful cabin with everything you needed. The surroundings were gorgeous and peaceful. The pub near by dine the best homemade pizzas weve ever had and there local Indian was also delicious and very friendly staff. Overall stay was amazing just what we needed. I didnt want to leave. Perfect place for a weekend gateaway from North London. Super easy on the train from Finsbury Park - in 40 mins you are in an extremely peaceful spot. The house is great with everything you would need, and the hot tub and BBQ along with TVs in the room and the deep bathtubs (and robes!) were really nice bonus touches. The views from the deck of the lake with the every changing wildlife, and the windows in the sitting room overlooking the fields never tired, and meant we didn’t leave for the whole long weekend except for a 30 min walk into town to restock on essentials! My dad has bad mobility so the step free house was perfect, and the fencing on the terrace was great for the dog. The walls are a little thin but with the rooms on separate sides of the house it only really matters if people are still in the sitting room!!
