Cottage holiday rentals in Friends Lake

Great location, close to town and anything else you could need in Bolton! House was very clean, had everything you could need. Definitely would stay here again if coming back up to Lake George!

We ate most meals on the deck admiring the lake and scenery. Most hot days at the lake, jumping off the floating dock, swimming and kayaking the beautiful lake. Most cool nights in the hot tub. Beautiful lake and close to many places (Saratoga, Lake George). Kids really enjoyed the lake, floating dock and hot tub as well as playing darts on the deck. Tinney’s Tavern nearby had great food and was an easy walk. Nice hiking trail nearby. Joan was easily accessible for any questions that arose.

Ardie and Mike made us feel right at home, and answered all of our questions right away! The cottage was very convenient with beautiful views and easy access to the lake and shore. It had more than enough beds and everything we needed to enjoy our stay there comfortably. We also had a great time playing with the two dogs, Misha and Sajen! Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a peaceful and private cottage in rural Vermont that is still around 25-30 minutes drive away from Middlebury. Thanks Ardie!

John's place was absolutely wonderful. It was beautifully decorated and very homey feeling. There was everything we needed to feel right at home. There was a ton of room, storage and space in every room of the house. The area was private but close to everything you could need or want to do. Very family friendly. The house was nice and clean and just adorable. We would definitely recommend.

We had an amazing time visiting Sacandaga Lake with our family for Memorial Day Weekend. The house was in such a great location and even though it rained most of the time, the views were still incredible. Brendon provides a binder full of great information about the house as well as things to do or see in the area. We loved hanging out on the deck and cooking food on the Blackstone grill. We enjoyed the hot tub and the large firepit table! There was lots of space for everyone to enjoy and not feel like we were on top of each other. They provide lots of refrigerator/freezer space so we could really enjoy just being there and making the most of our time together as a family. We would definitely visit again and would recommend this home to anyone looking for a great getaway!

Beautiful, secluded resort in Lake George. We absolutely LOVED sitting on the porch and enjoying the beautiful surroundings!!! This area is stunning!!! Wonderful owners and a beautiful, peaceful retreat, what else could one ask for❤️

Great little cabin for the price point. Kitchen was fully equipped sans a spatula. Plenty of comfortable seating and clean linens. Bring paper towels to make cleaning it up a little easier.

Heathers Cottage was just we were looking for. The dock and waterside camp chairs were a great way to enjoy the peaceful Loon Lake. We did have rain during our stay and found ourself stuck indoors but this was no obstacle at all. The cottage had a book for everyone’s liking, many different board games and a TV as well, the time flew by! Can’t wait to return back to enjoy the get-a-way from city life!

My husband, another couple and our two pups had a wonderful time at the cottage. We absolutely loved the access to the lake (note that you have to cross a road but it’s a very quiet one, not much cars), it’s private beach, and enjoyed the kayaks, canoe and paddle board. The place has comfortable bedding, extremely well furnished kitchen and is only a few minutes from stunning lake George and the lovely town of Bolton Landing. Be aware of mosquitoes! The host warned us before our arrival and had extra repellent for us to use! Michelle was extremely responsive to all our questions and even came late at night to help us troubleshoot an issue with the fans! Would definitely recommend this place if looking for a peaceful nature retreat!

Susan’s house is absolutely gorgeous nd so comfortable. We felt right at home. She has everything we could need and even extra items in the bathroom for anything we forgot. We lost power and Susan proactively offered a generator! Thankfully, power returned before nighttime. Our weekend at Susan’s was such a great experience!

Linda was a perfect host and even better human being, she was very kind and thoughtful! I would love to come back soon to her paradise of a home!

Christine and Larry are amazing hosts. The location was great for our trip to Gore Mt. Unfortunately I did not get the chance to meet Christine in person, Larry stopped by to check if we had any questions or needs. It is obvious they want their guests to totally enjoy the place, and make you feel comfortable doing so. Thanks you two, I’m sure we will be back.

My family loved how peaceful and calm everything was. Took this weekend getaway to get the kids away from electronics and the hype of NYC and it was a blast. The kids were loving the grass, the playground, the fire pit, we went down to the lake, played board games, mini golf it was amazing. I really enjoyed the stay and the host was very responsive even at 11pm. She was transparent and clear with instructions. Little town was great as well, did some Railroad Biking, lots of little things to do within 30 min drive.

This charming pet friendly house was the perfect getaway. The house was clean, cozy and comfortable. Had everything we needed. Traffic is minimal on the road helping enhance the atmosphere of solitude. The view from the house is incredible. We kayaked Beaver Pond right from the dock, which is literally steps from the back door. Would definitely go again.

The cottage was an easy walk to the beach which I think is the best on Friends Lake. We enjoyed the kayaks which high quality and easy to access. The beds were all good. The decore was classic Adirondack, especially the porch with it's collection of memorabilia. There was a large selection of books and games. Matthew was quick to respond to any questions and provided lots of helpful information.

Our stay at Veronica’s Oak Cottage was absolutely amazing, pictures do this home no justice!! The grounds are beautiful, peaceful, and immaculate! We will absolutely book again, convenient, close to everything Bolton Landing has to offer but off the beaten path, so the quiet nights were welcomed!!! Ty for the beautiful bottle of wine! We loved staying there!! Vicki

Great place with beautiful views of the river and lovely birds in the morning. Perfect for a getaway from the city with family. Pamela was a great host and had kept cute gifts for us on arrival! Will definitely visit again!

Beautiful location on Lake George. Well equipped and clean kitchen, bath, everything. Lovely boathouse with nice lounge chairs/couch and firepit. We took advantage of the kayaks which were easily accessible. Thank you Max for helping us with the fold out bed. Good for a couple. A little pricey for being after the season.

It was super clean and new ! Cozy warm cabin. Perfect set up for small families. Friends could rent out other cabins in the vicinity if needed for a large group gathering and everyone would have their own private space. Really loved this place

I recently stayed at a Lakeview cabin and had a wonderful experience. The cabin was cozy and comfortable, with stunning views of the lake right from the porch. He was incredibly attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. From the warm welcome to the helpful recommendations for local activities, he went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. Henry's hospitality truly made our stay special.
