What a little gem! Katie’s tiny house is a wonderful place to stay at near Freeland if you are looking for something quiet with a wonderful ocean view. Katie and her dog Loki were great hosts and I will definitely come back if I am in the area again!

We really enjoyed our stay! The home was clean, quiet, and a perfect landing spot for my small family to stay while we adventured around Whidby Island. Plus, we ran into Kim on our way to town one day and she gave us a beautiful Peony from her garden. Such a sweet a sweet and welcoming gesture.❤️

Fir Haven Farmhouse was splendid---nestled in a quiet neighborhood filled with bird song (and birds) and the signature Whidbey Island bunnies. It was a short drive to everything we wanted to do: visit the blooming Rhododendrons at MeerKerk Gardens, explore the abandoned bunkers and gun emplacements at Fort Casey (where we saw a bald eagle), kayak at Freeland Park, eat ice cream at Kapaws Iskreme in Coupeville and gelato at Sweet Mona's in Langley. The house was comfortable and spotless. The upstairs TV room was fantastic for movies, and the downstairs table perfect for board games.

Home is full of personality and history. Susan had lots of personal touches like sharing their hen's eggs and freshly cut flowers in a vase. The house is creative with art and memorabilia...and they've managed to keep everything clean, comfortable and welcoming. I really like the living space furniture. They have everything you may need and more. Beds are comfortable but may be a little smaller than listed Queens. Close to town and Freeland Hall if you are attending an event like we did. Love the enclosed front deck where you can sit with your dog and not worry. Big enclosed yard, too, for dog to run around and take bathroom break. Short walk and staircase to a beach walk. Yard is spacious with great parking.
