We had a great stay at Alan’s Campsite, he was extremely friendly and very responsive. The cabin was clean, spacious and comfy, and had everything we needed. The hot tub was full and heated when we arrived, and Alan even provided us with firewood for £5. The scenery was beautiful and we definitely lucked out with the weather but I’m sure it would be a great stay either way! We highly recommend to anyone wanting a comfy and peaceful stay, hopefully we will be back soon!

Absolutely loved our stay here. Pictures do not do this place justice, easily one of the nicest if not the nicest AirBnb I’ve ever stayed in. Great amenities for 4 adults and a big big hot tub! It was so peaceful being able to look out of the windows / decking and watch the wildlife too. Can’t wait to revisit, thankyou!

Absolutely amazing stay here, just what we needed to get away from city life, scenery was beautiful, hot tub was amazing, very clean, we just loved every second of it, we didn't want to come home! Thank you Catherine for having the prosecco and banners up for us on arrival , it was a lovely suprise for my partners birthday. We will definitely be back!

Leah & Lennox’s airbnb was the perfect stay. The lodge was exceptionally clean & the interior was so modern & homely. All amenities were great & the hot tub was super easy to use. The lodge is only a short drive from dumfries which was great for me and my partner as it allowed us to still train at the gym whilst we were away. The forest walk was the perfect start to our morning. The area was very peaceful & we started each morning with a coffee whilst watching the lambs. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay to celebrate my graduation & we cannot wait to return❤️

Lovely place to stay, exactly like the photos and had everything we needed for our time away. Hot tub was easy to use and such a nice way to wind down at the end of the day whilst listening to the birds.

Trevor and Angels's van was an excellent overnight stop off on our way up to Skye. The van was very well equipped, comfortable and clean. There is a great walk round the beautiful lakes close to the site; a great place to stretch your legs and walk the dog, after a long journey.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this stunning location. What an amazing experience and we could not have asked for a better stay! Superb memories were created here for us and our dogs! A stunning walk through the woods and into Ballantrae, 7 miles there and back but loads of wildlife to see and we would recommend. Lindsay and Chris were exceptional hosts and just lovely people! We cannot think of a better break that we have all enjoyed and cannot wait to return!

Lovely peaceful place to stay, we were lucky and picked a fairly mild weekend in feb, wood and coal were provided but brought extra to have the fire on all weekend. Toilet and shower in the building were clean and close in proximity. Stephanie and Rick were lovely hosts and most welcoming. Would love to come back when it’s a bit warmer ☺️ ☀️

The accommodation was cosy and pleasant, perfect for a group of 4 adults and 2 kids. We loved the field at the back of the lodge and the sheep. Would have been great if we could have checked in from 2pm or have a later check out. Thank you for hosting us, it’s a place that I’ll def recommend to my friends.

We had an absolutely superb stay at this cabin! The hosts have thought of everything—every household utensil, cleaning product, and appliance we needed was readily available. It truly felt like a home away from home. We also appreciated the thoughtful extras, like the collection of games, DVDs, and books, which made for cozy evenings indoors. The stuffed toy dogs were a lovely touch for the children, and they adored them! The cabin was spotless, and we were impressed with how well-organized everything was, including the garbage disposal system. The private pool was a fantastic addition, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Overall, this was one of the best stays we’ve had, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommend!

Fantastic accommodation in a perfect location, close enough to the local towns but far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. Nice local walks, great for kayaking (lodge is 2 min walk from shoreside) and lots to do in local area. 10/10 host and accommodation, we will be back !

Beautiful lodge/cabin and exceptionally clean too. It really is a home from home because there is absolutely everything you need and more. I was worried that due to the structure that it might be cold, but no, it was toasty and warm and the double bed and bedding was so comfy and cosy that I wanted to put it in my car and bring it home with me! Gareth and Kate had left a dog bowl with some biscuits and another bowl out on the decking filled with toys for the dog to play with. That was incredibly kind and very thoughtful of them, it was also much appreciated by Hector the Schnoodle. Foodwise, we had a delicious take-away for the Indian restaurant in Moffat and they even delivered to the Reception area of the park which is a 2 minute walk away. All in all, would I return? Yes, without a doubt and I don't say that about many places. Definitely book to stay, you'll love the peace and quiet, the beautiful tree right outside, the lake and the bazillion cute bunnies hopping around.

A lovely private place to stay. Very welcoming and lovely areas nearby. If anyone else goes here there is an amazing walk at the bottom of the river to check out!

We had such a fantastic time at the lodge. The sunset was beautiful, the hot tub was lovely and spacious and the lodge itself was much bigger than we expected. There were lots of comfy spaces to relax and enjoy the nice weather. We will definitely be coming back!

Fantastic stay at the sea cubby! A perfect place to recharge and relax, with amazing views, wildlife and lovely accommodation. It was a perfect size for us. Additionally, the cubby has been kitted out with helpful items that you need whilst away - tea, coffee, lovely linen and plenty of great local recommendations which we tried out. The place was super cosy as well considering the coastal location. Would love to come back.

The place was absolutely gorgeous. The kids have enough room to run around. We love the balcony with the amazing view and the sound of nature. Despite the wet weather on our first and second day of stay the kids were happy to just launched around and kept them selves entertained with the box of Lego they found in the kids room 😆 it was absolutely what we wanted for the kids to be off screen. This place gave us the quality time we needed as a family. Thank you Tracey. We will definitely comeback for more.

Fantastic cottage / log cabin. Incredible vistas across Wigtonshire and Irish Sea beyond. Ideal location for Kircudbright and Wigton as well as 7 stanes cycling locations- for us. Lovely and cosy inside.

The lodge is set in a remote quiet very scenic spot surrounded by the most beautiful views the lodge itself was decorated internally beautifully decenct sized bedroom and the shower was amazing wish I had it at home we had the best weather to enjoy the views with our dinner each night on the decking listening to the wildlife was extremely peaceful we would 100% recommendations everyone to book and Enjoy the quieter way of life for couple of days x
