Beech House Bed & Breakfast 4

LeanneRating, 5 stars48 months ago
We rocked up to Jill s after a long drive from London. The house is picturesque and comfortable. Her welcome was very warm and she was really helpful getting us somewhere to eat as we hadn’t given a thought to booking anywhere. Breakfast was great I particularly liked the cheese on toast with fried eggs! Jill also helped us with directions and suggestions as to how to get sorted with our catbells climb. All in all a lovely stay.

Craigadam Country House

Celia and Richard were so welcoming, staying with them was like being home from home and I truly was invited to make myself comfortable. My room was beautiful, with a 6ft double bed and a corner bath, I felt like royalty! There was plenty of space, I could have had 3 more people in it with room to spare. The rooms face into a central courtyard with a strategically placed water feature so that the rooms remain private. They have an honesty bar so that you can help yourself to drinks and pay for them on departure, which I loved and was able to sit in the sun reading with a gin and tonic. Celia asked me if I would like to eat in, and being on my own this suited me as I hate eating alone and the dining room has a table big enough for 20 or so, which everyone sits at together. The food was delicious, home smoked salmon, wild venison and a sumptuous pudding! I was given directions for a lovely walk with my dog after dinner, so I got to see more of the farm, particularly sheep and highland cows. Breakfast was pure luxury, things you would never treat yourself to at home, cereals, fruit compotes, juices and then cooked too if you wanted. I met some lovely people at dinner, and the whole experience is one I would gladly repeat. Thank you for a wonderful stay, I hope to return soon.

Mini Studio Apartment in Iconic Converted Church

GosiaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We messaged Stephen at a very last minute (night before) with an unusual request, which was well received and accommodated for with no problem, which we were grateful for since that was our bargaining card if we were to spend a weekend on the island! It was easy to find the place, with clear instructions, and access, located near the shore, which was in a walking distance to many places nearby! Great short stay, and really accommodating, thank you!

We thought we were going to love it here and we were right. Sheri’s hospitality and willingness to go the extra mile (accommodating my husband’s dietary requirements for instance) only enhanced our stay at this very special location. We’d love to go again!

The Wallace Room, Lochinver Guest House

JulietRating, 5 stars28 months ago
Excellent location, very smart neighbourhood, kind and friendly host and staff. The rooms were very well turned out with lovely linen, soft beds, spotlessly clear and classy artwork lining the walls on the way up to the bedroom. Flexible response to providing an early breakfast. Breakfasts were delicious, especially in my opinion the porridge with berries, honey and cream. I would like to come back again very soon!

Lovely family room with comfortable beds and spotless bathroom. Great spot at end or start of Hadrian’s Wall trail. Breakfast great as was the food in the Bistro in the evening. Only minor downside was room was very bright as blinds didn’t block light.

Enjoy a peaceful stay in a room at Friars Carse

HelenRating, 5 stars9 months ago
The Holly room was lovely with dual aspect windows. A lovely view across to the ŕiver. Appreciated the lift and on site dining, but would have preferred to be able to order just a main course. The pricing was for a 2 or 3 course meal. The lounge with huge fireplace was lovely and the snooker table in its own room a nice touch. Enjoyed the stroll to Robbie Burns Hermitage before departure. The surrounding countryside is beautiful.
