Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Douro-Dummer

Our stay was more than we could have asked for. This Airbnb is a hidden gem. We’ve been to many Airbnbs all over the world, and I can tell you this one is really special. The garden is very spacious, with friendly little cows in the background. The inside is also spacious thanks to the beautiful high ceilings. The decor and original church aesthetic they kept makes you feel at home. The outdoor annex for extra guests is so cozy and cute!! it really comes in handy if you are more than two. This Airbnb truly has everything a household needs, from bug spray to doggy bags. We’re usually honest and critical about Airbnbs, and we don’t shy away from pointing out things that could be improved, but with this one, we truly have nothing bad to say. We would come back in a heartbeat!

She was very friendly as we talked to her outside a couple times. Any texts we sent to her, she responded very quickly. It was a great place to stay and easy to get too. This was my second time staying there in a month, and I would definitely stay there again.

My family was in town for our sister's wedding and wanted a nice space to spend a few days together and send her off, and this was just the perfect one! The house and setting are beautiful, exactly like the pictures. A lot of thought and care had been put into the design and setup, and much effort dedicated to maintain it (we easily saw two teams dropping by for landscaping and pool cleaning). The space is expansive and full of light with great view into nature. The living areas are functional and provided with everything you need to feel at home. The outdoor enclosed area (with hot tub) and the pool are both terrific. The weather was not great when we were there (a shame that we didn't use the pool or the Sandbanks pass - great touch to include though) but we were able to make the most of it as there were lots within quick driving distance (wineries, town of Picton) Beforehand a lot of information and communications were sent and we felt at ease and supported throughout. Thank you!

This was the best airbnb I have ever stayed in! We stayed for our wedding weekend - the natural lighting here was absolutely PERFECT. Super close to Peterborough! Sylvia not only let us take photos on the property, she gave us a free gift and offered for us to check out later the day after our wedding. It was also the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in at an airbnb. I cannot recommend more!

Such a lovely little retreat! We had such a great time visiting the llamas, playing on the train and in the yard. Joe and Gisele were incredibly responsive and accommodating and left some great suggestions of things to do and places to eat which we took full advantage of. This was exactly what we needed and it had everything you could think of! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this spot!

Highly recommend Prince’s place! It was exactly as described, was in a great location and was extremely well equipped. Prince was super communicative and checkin/out was quite simple. Great spot for a weekend away!

We loved our stay at Neil and Janin’s Chalet. The Chalet is beautiful, clean and very comfortable. The setting is tranquil, private and peaceful. It was especially beautiful at this time of year because of the leaves changing. Everything exceeded our expectations. We are looking forward to returning!

We stayed at the Marmora Retreat this past weekend with 16 girls and could not have had a better time! The property is beautiful, including a large deck with tons of space to play games and chill in the nice weather. Despite it raining for half of our weekend, the house's layout provided a lot of space for us to play games, relax, cook, and enjoy each other's company. The beds were super comfortable, and we all departed feeling refreshed after a weekend full of laughs. We are already talking about returning for another weekend during the summer to take advantage of the pool! We highly recommend the Marmora Retreat, and thank you so much, Brendan, for providing a space for all of us to get together comfortably!

We stayed from 4 night, and despite having almost 72 hours of light but constant rain (it looked like a veil of rain when looking over the fields), we were very comfortable and cozy in the cottage. The trails attached to the cottage are a nice gateway into the surrounding forests. They are and thick with trees that sheltered us from the rain (and any cabin fever). This location also prvoided us easy access (via bike) to the Durham mountain bike trails in the area when the rain let up finally, near the end of our stay.

Great cottage on a quiet lake. No more than twenty minutes from just about anything in Prince Edward County meaning you can easily sleep in before starting your day and still get a full day's worth of activities in before retiring to the comfortable cottage for the night. This cottage has every amenity you can think of and it's very easy to feel at home. No complaints and would rent again in the future!

We stayed at the North COTTAGE for a ladies work trip to Peterborough. Everything was as listed, and this was one of the cleanest Airbnbs I have stayed in! We really loved the coffee bar, and the morning view was beautiful. The hot tub and pool were very clean and great to use after a long day of training. Thanks for a pleasant stay, Mike!

Bertrand facilitated an early check-in so that we could drop of supplies and extra cars before heading out to the golf course for the day. Cabin slept 12 comfortably. Cabin was clean, private and stocked with all of the cooking amenities you would need. Host was responsive and friendly. Would love to book this place again for a future guys golf trip. Added bonus there is garbage and recycling disposal on property which is a very convenient feature.

We had the best time at this lovely place. Deborah and Ross are amazing hosts and incredibly kind people. Thank you for everything :) the place is also super clean and feels like home! If you are bothered by bugs, don’t miss out to visit the lovely little store ‘zebra with a different stripe’ to get some great all natural bug spray!

My husband and I were escaping to Brooke's Riverside Hideaway for two nights to celebrate our 15 year wedding anniversary and it didn't disappoint. This is for sure one of those rare locations that is even better in real life. The privacy, the peacefulness and the accommodation were dreamy. We are already looking forward to returning in future years. So many wonderful extra touches, from the Starbucks hot chocolate sachets to the extra blankets placed by the fire pit. A little slice of heaven!

Lovely quiet place to stay. Twyla was an excellent hostess. She ensured we had everything we needed and knew where everything was. Lovely path down to the river.

A rural cabin with unexpected modern conveniences. Everything is new and works well. Beds and mattresses are great. Rare you find great comfortable mattresses. Sheets and blankets all smart freshly washed. Perfect for my dog. Private and safe. Bbq worked great and very hot. Not one thing disappointed me about this place. The host was happy to answer any questions. Even at 10.30 pm. Thank you it was great.

The cottage was nice, clean and quiet, easy to find and close enough to town (Lakefield) to secure any items we forgot, and a Tim's for those who can't go without. The waterway was quiet out to the larger lake area, easy enough to paddleboard or row out to. Plenty of fish off the dock if that is your go to. Not sure if it was just the season, but no mosquito bites at all, and with no bug spray on.. maybe we got lucky. Sean was easy and pleasant to communicate with, no issues at all during our stay.

We love the location of this cabin on the lake. It was perfect for us with great access. The cabin is well appointed very clean and had everything we needed. We would enjoy coming back again.

We had great time at this place. Patricia and her husband Denise was very nice to us. We had a warm welcome from Patricia. My wife liked when she called our baby cute pumpkin. Great place.

Ryan is without a doubt a great host. I had an issue and I contacted him before 9am on a Saturday morning and he responded within minutes. He was always available to help out and is very caring. His home is just beautiful. The pictures I took of the lake reflect the beauty of the place and the cottage is very peaceful and it’s indeed a great place to unplug but don’t worry because there is wifi and the phone reception is very good as well. My family and I really enjoyed our time there. Thank you Ryan for making this an unforgettable trip for us!
