Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Douro-Dummer

Spacious, clean home. It was perfect as a half way point to meet up with friends. Nice big table for the six of us to play games at. Lots of bathrooms for all three couples. Comfortable beds. Enough parking for four vehicles.

Our stay was more than we could have asked for. This Airbnb is a hidden gem. We’ve been to many Airbnbs all over the world, and I can tell you this one is really special. The garden is very spacious, with friendly little cows in the background. The inside is also spacious thanks to the beautiful high ceilings. The decor and original church aesthetic they kept makes you feel at home. The outdoor annex for extra guests is so cozy and cute!! it really comes in handy if you are more than two. This Airbnb truly has everything a household needs, from bug spray to doggy bags. We’re usually honest and critical about Airbnbs, and we don’t shy away from pointing out things that could be improved, but with this one, we truly have nothing bad to say. We would come back in a heartbeat!

Parker’s place was so relaxing. The home matched the photos. It did not disappoint. The floor to ceiling windows were stunning and I felt like the greenery was my TV and it surrounded me. The kitchen was very nice, it was very well equipped. My partner had a blast with setting up the fire place, it was so warm and cozy. Parker was a fantastic host and was responsive and kind. Highly recommend if you want a getaway from the city that isn’t too far but really brings you to nature and in a nice and comfortable home. The sauna was a highlight, my partner used it a couple times a day.

This was my second stay at The Red Brick House and we had a great time. The house is excellent, clean, in a good neighborhood and yet close to downtown. Easy communication with the hosts, I would highly recommend this ABNB.

Jay was so responsive to us and all of our needs. His uniquely designed home was a perfect back drop for celebrating my weekend get an away! The beautiful outdoor space, the sprawling interior, and the extremely well stocked kitchen are all the things that made the trip extra special and easy. Thanks for a great stay!

We had a lovely stay at Braden’s place. The home was a perfect gateway for 2 people. Big plus for having plenty of firewood for the guests to use. The home was clean & had all the amenities for a great relaxing stay.

We loved the cottage and the fact that we could enjoy it with my dog, Onyx. loved it!!! the lake was amazing and I can't begin to talk enough about the sunsets. The sunsets were one of the best ones I've seen so far. Onyx had so much fun running around and relaxing in the yard. We absolutely enjoyed the deck too when it was windy near the lake. Had a lot of fun with campfire, reading and talking. If you have pets, you can't go wrong with this one.

In all of our well travelled airbnb trips, we have never felt so welcome and taken care of at a time we needed it the most! Zoka is a genuine lovely human that puts extraordinary thought and utmost attention to details into her space. We were welcomed with a tranquil ambience that left us with goose bulmps and a warm heart. Zoka’s space is a perfect niche to to connect with family, loved ones, or besties. Anything you wish you had is there! From coffee to food basics to high end beauty products. The spa like vibes are accentuated with the multi faceted rain shower, warm candles, lavish linen, plush robes and a cozy fireplace. Not to mention, the price is an astronomical steal!! I am working on Stoney Lake for another year and Owen's place is always my go-to! The Airbnb has an extremely large parking area for my large trucks, boats, and other equipment. It is always a pleasure to visit with the hosts and to enjoy the peaceful surroundings that their property offers. I highly recommend this Airbnb to families, contractors, and anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in the Kawartha's.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. Robin’s house was located very close to all the arena’s in Peterbourgh. We were there to watch our grandson play lacrosse. Hopefully they will return next year to this tournament. I will definetly be rebooking Robin’s loft. It was just as advertised. I also appreciated the selection of coffees. This is a fantastic place. Saskia and Maarten are very nice. They sent us very clear instructions and recommandations. They also responded quickly to our questions. Everything in the airbnb is thought for you to enjoy and make your life easy. They are very helpful. They also provided an extension for us to plug our electric car. The place is very well located, close to Wellington and the Sandbanks. It is beautiful, next to the lake with a great view. They have lots of space and provide paddle boards, kayaks and canoes with direct access to the lake. It is comfortable and clean. Thank you!

Gordana was a wonderful host. Always reactive to my messages and any questions. The place was very well maintained and had beautiful interiors. I appreciated the hospitality and little details in the apartment. Very well situated and food / cafe at walking distance. Highly recommend!

Robert and Nick were extremely accommodating. Very nice hosts and responsive to requests. Kitchen was fully equipped. A clean and comfortable apartment.

The accommodations at one time were beautiful. The house is large with many beautiful features (huge kitchen with all the amenities), large master bedroom and private en-suite, large deck with a view of the lake, and updated gas BBQ. The lake is absolutely beautiful as well. In fact, it’s one of the nicest lakes we have visited. However, the house needs a deep clean, some TLC and updating. All the screens to the doors were broken, some drawers in the kitchen were separating from their surfaces, dead bugs lay on the window sills, the floors could use a good scrub, there is a hole in the gangway to the dock, and the ladder to the dock is loose and unsafe to use. We were told there were two canoes. One was in great shape and even had seats with backs. The other should be laid to rest, as it literally was falling apart. We also found out that we could not dock a boat there because of a dispute with a neighbor. Unfortunately, the dryer broke down while we were there. We suspect that it had never been cleaned as the filter would not go in completely from all the lint and debris from years of use. We had paid for a cleaning service, but were informed a few days before arrival that the service was not available due to COVID-19 and that guests were expected to clean. The owner offered to cancel our reservation but at this late date we could not have arranged for new accommodations or for our own cleaning service. We had booked the accommodations for August. Surely, the information about the cleaning service was known months in advance since the pandemic started in February/March. The previous guests had cleaned our bathrooms and made the beds, but dishes were left in the dishwasher and on the drying rack, and tea towels and some bathroom towels were left dirty. We brought our own towels thankfully. On our last day, instead of enjoying our few remaining hours at the cottage, we spent four hours cleaning for the next guests, and quite honestly we could not do the thorough job of hired cleaning staff. The owner did reimburse us for the cleaning service, but we did not get back our time! With some TLC, repairs, and a real cleaning service, this place could have been a gem.

Beautiful home with classy decor. Home was cozy but scantily equipped with needed kitchen amenities. Be sure to read the house rules before booking! House rules are unnecessarily excessive, makes it uncomfortable to get that "home away from home" experience, so read the house rules before booking! Host must have had unpleasant situations with guests in the past. The house is gorgeously decorated and pristine, should be featured in a home magazine for real. Overall, we had a great stay!

David and Mimi’s place was gorgeous and had everything we needed for our stay. Great for families and kids. We enjoyed canoeing and kayaking on the private lake. They were very communicative and responsive, generous and thoughtful. We definitely recommend this place!
