Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Douro-Dummer

Our stay was more than we could have asked for. This Airbnb is a hidden gem. We’ve been to many Airbnbs all over the world, and I can tell you this one is really special. The garden is very spacious, with friendly little cows in the background. The inside is also spacious thanks to the beautiful high ceilings. The decor and original church aesthetic they kept makes you feel at home. The outdoor annex for extra guests is so cozy and cute!! it really comes in handy if you are more than two. This Airbnb truly has everything a household needs, from bug spray to doggy bags. We’re usually honest and critical about Airbnbs, and we don’t shy away from pointing out things that could be improved, but with this one, we truly have nothing bad to say. We would come back in a heartbeat!

Tanya and Peter were very responsive and their place is so lovely! So peaceful! They really have thought of everything. Thank you very much! Would recommend to couples looking to have a unique place to stay and just have time together.

We had a truly wonderful stay at this peaceful and secluded getaway. The property was everything I hoped for—quiet, relaxing, and surrounded by nature. One of the highlights was definitely the breathtaking sunset views each evening by the campfire—absolutely stunning and the perfect way to wind down the day. The space was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully prepared, making it feel like a true home away from home. If you’re looking to disconnect and recharge in a beautiful setting, this is the place. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Ryan is without a doubt a great host. I had an issue and I contacted him before 9am on a Saturday morning and he responded within minutes. He was always available to help out and is very caring. His home is just beautiful. The pictures I took of the lake reflect the beauty of the place and the cottage is very peaceful and it’s indeed a great place to unplug but don’t worry because there is wifi and the phone reception is very good as well. My family and I really enjoyed our time there. Thank you Ryan for making this an unforgettable trip for us!

We loved our stay at Neil and Janin’s Chalet. The Chalet is beautiful, clean and very comfortable. The setting is tranquil, private and peaceful. It was especially beautiful at this time of year because of the leaves changing. Everything exceeded our expectations. We are looking forward to returning!

Zoka is a genuine lovely human that puts extraordinary thought and utmost attention to details into her space. We were welcomed with a tranquil ambience that left us with goose bulmps and a warm heart. Zoka’s space is a perfect niche to to connect with family, loved ones, or besties. Anything you wish you had is there! From coffee to food basics to high end beauty products. The spa like vibes are accentuated with the multi faceted rain shower, warm candles, lavish linen, plush robes and a cozy fireplace. Not to mention, the price is an astronomical steal!! Staying at Sebastian’s was magnificent, you can tell he really put attention into every detail, and he was very helpful with local suggestions and any questions I had. A bnb so perfect I’ve left a little piece of my heart.

Derek and Doreen were extremely friendly, responsive, and hospitable, everything in the suite and in the backyard was as shown, if not better. They even gave us a gift as we had mentioned our wedding day was the day prior, couldn’t recommend them and this place enough, we would book again in a heart beat, thanks for everything Derek and Doreen!

This is a fantastic place. Saskia and Maarten are very nice. They sent us very clear instructions and recommandations. They also responded quickly to our questions. Everything in the airbnb is thought for you to enjoy and make your life easy. They are very helpful. They also provided an extension for us to plug our electric car. The place is very well located, close to Wellington and the Sandbanks. It is beautiful, next to the lake with a great view. They have lots of space and provide paddle boards, kayaks and canoes with direct access to the lake. It is comfortable and clean. Thank you!

Robert and Nick were extremely accommodating. Very nice hosts and responsive to requests. Kitchen was fully equipped. A clean and comfortable apartment.

This is an ideal accommodation situated in a quiet neighbourhood. The host is helpful and friendly. I was so pleased with my stay last year that I booked again this year.

Doris and her husband were the warmest hosts and were very accommodating with our requests. The place is clean, well furnished and spacious and our pup was very happy to be there with us. We would surely return and recommend Doris' place. Thank you for a great time!

A couple of things that stood out for us was the abundance of towel racks and hooks in the bathroom as well as dimmers on all of the overhead lights (such a relief from glare!). We would stay here again.

Second time staying at this spot, and it was just as perfect as the first time. Very peaceful spot that makes great use of its space. Excellent outdoor kitchen, try clean washroom and the cabin is very cozy and warm. Fire pit is great for enjoying the night and watching the stars. So many awesome lakes very close to here and beautiful little towns as well. Thank you Christine!

We had a wonderful time, it was easy going with Elizabeth and john ! We loved our time there and would recommend to anybody who wants peace and quiet ! The sheep are just a beautiful addition to it !! Thank you we will reserve again for sure !

We had a great time staying at the cabin this past weekend. The setting was peaceful and rustic, surrounded by beautiful farmland — a perfect place to unwind. We really enjoyed the fishing and the slower pace.

Could not be happier with our stay. Everything was exactly how it looked and communication with Jasmine was effortless, She also let us check in early with our 2 year old wish was great. Great place to stay, highly recommend.

Dustin’s place blew us away. Every little detail was well thought out and Dustin was great to communicate with. We had an amazing time at the property. It was fully stocked, clean, and exactly as described in the listing. I’m convinced Dustin’s a natural when it comes to interior design. Everything looked like it was out of a catalogue. I especially enjoyed kayaking down the river, and enjoying coffee on the porch.
