Campsite holiday rentals in Dorset

This was our first glamping experience and it exceeded expectations. Lovely spacious, clean tents that were well equipped. The perfect of balance of a bit of electricity and warm water but the need to light the wood burning stove to cook and heat the tent to retain the glamping experience! The field opposite was perfect for the kids to play and it was fun checking for eggs and watching the cows being milked. We loved our stay and exploring the area. We would highly recommend these tents to other families (Our kids are 3, 5 & 8 and all of them loved it 😊)

The bell tents were lovely, very spacious with 5 beds inside and lots of lovely touches like tea lights and useful camping things you’d never think to bring. Thanks Nicky and the team for a lovely stay, highly recommended!

We enjoyed our stay. The safari tent was comfortable, had all of the amenities we needed and held up very well during a storm on one of the nights. It's a fantastic location if you're visiting The Watercress Line.

The quality of the accommodation is excellent and of a high standard, with the attention to detail plainly evident. We found all the essentials were supplied, tea, coffee, toiletries etc and a lovely touch. We are a family of six and found the quality of the beds, bedding, shower, towels, kitchen amenities, furnishings superb. The accommodation was roomy and comfortable even when it was chilly outside, with lots of heating options including a log burner to keep warm. We had a great time here. The location was picturesque and there was plenty to do on our week long stay. The tent was ideal and surprised us with how roomy it was. Check in was easy as in they text to let you know it’s ready and you just turn up at your tent. Each tent has a BBQ kettle, fire pit, two deckchairs and a large beanbag so lounging outside is to be encouraged. The views are great and the animals on site are friendly enough. The only gripe we have (completely not anything the venue can solve) is the Earwigs! They get absolutely everywhere! If you’re going to stay here then be prepared and maybe bring some airtight containers (even then they’d find a way in!). The play barn area and farm activities are spot on and there’s a lot to do to keep you entertained and although you have to pay, if you’re staying on site then it’s pay once and use as many times as you like after. We ate at The Cow twice whilst we were here and the food was great, service was spot on and for a reasonable price as well. We had a great time here and we’ll definitely be making a return visit, albeit we’ll probably try a lodge next time round. Thanks for having us!

Amazing Glamping spot with 5 friends. The tent was amazing, spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed for a weekend of relaxing. Loved the fire pit for sitting around in the evening. Dawn chorus of animals in the morning sunshine! 15 minute walk to the local pub for lunch. Would highly recommend to groups or Families who want some R&R. Would definitely go back. Trudie is a great host.

Great intro to camping. We had an issue with our own inflatable mattress and asked if they had a spare we could borrow and Sophia responded quickly. The kids loved the friendly cat, great location between Lulworth and Weymouth both 20 mins away, big tesco 15 mins or so in Dorchester if you do forget anything. Campsite was clean, kitchen had plenty of utilities and electricity points for charging stuff. Bell tents are surprisingly spacious for us (5). Will go again and recommend to friends and family

Had such a lovely birthday weekend celebration here at Tatalon! Was a nice getaway and we were kept entertained with the outdoor games, hot tub, bbq and TV! Also got a bottle of bubbly to start our stay in the perfect way. I stayed in October and yet we were still warm and cosy inside with plenty of blankets. Jo was incredibly responsive, friendly and helpful. I recommend this to anyone and will definitely come back here!

Me and my partner had the best time during our stay at riverdale barn. The Glamping tent had everything we needed and we felt at home. We slept so well as the bed was as very comfortable and we had a heated sheet which was a lovely touch in the evenings when it got a bit chilly. The hosts were so welcoming and helpful. We look forward to coming back next year and will recommend this place to our friends and family 😁

We have been quite lucky to have experienced a lot of different airbnbs around the world but there is only one our girls still talk about every single week, and that's the Big Hoot. A rare and genuinely magical place, looked after with care and creativity.

Lindsay was a perfect host, great, clear instructions and came to say hi just after we arrived. The tent was great, spacious and cosy, fully carpetted with fold out beds. There's a small table and chairs outside the front with a firepit. There are logs available to buy, but we bought our own. Perfect for sitting out till late toasting matshmallows. Very simple with no running water, but there are two toilets. It's peaceful, not crowded and back to nature. We were excited to see our first glowworm! The stars were spectacular. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The location of the tent was great, very close to the washing up area, the inside of the tent was neat and tidy, well stocked with cookers and spices and even had a cooling box. it was very quiet at night and you could really feel like you were in nature. Would definitely come back and would 100% recommend!

Our family loved our stay at the Dragonfly tent. It was very cosy and warm with the log burner. Our children were able to run around the open field safely flying their kites, swinging in the hammock and on the swing on the tree. Although it was dog friendly we were also really happy there wasn’t any dog fouling in the field to have to try to avoid or remove (very clean field). It was a great place for multi generational families with so much to do in the area and surrounding areas. Rosie was super responsive and quick, we ended up staying most of our last day at the tent and were running low on wood, but her and Simon delivered wood within a hour of me message and even unloaded it for us. Great little half term holiday

We had an absolutely fantastic stay. This place was everything we were hoping for, peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by stunning scenery and open sky. The sense of seclusion made it feel like our own private retreat, far from other people or campsites, which was exactly what we wanted. The host was kind and responsive, quickly resolving a small issue we encountered. The space was thoughtfully prepared and had everything we needed for a truly unforgettable night. We left with wonderful memories and would love to return whenever we get the chance.

We had great few days at Gambledown Farm with the family. We were felt very welcome from day 1 and had a great nature immersed experience even though weather was inclement. Great safari tents with all facilities needed and great hot showers! Thank you

A beautiful little getaway for my husbands 40th. The accommodation was super cute, cosy, comfortable, and in such a gorgeously peaceful spot in the countryside- everything we could've asked for for 2 lovely relaxed nights away. The place is so nice especially with nature lovers, secure and we have a privacy. Angus is approachable, quick to response with our messages. We really enjoyed staying in Angus place. We were thankful for extra bonus the 5 free range eggs.

A wonderfully wonderful place with amazing views over the hills with the sunset. A beautiful tent with a lovely bed, very comfortable. The kitchen is nicely located and equipped with every comfort. We will definitely come back and recommend it to everyone. Very welcoming family!

The Airstream has to be one of best places we've stayed at. The area is very private and peaceful with the most beautiful surroundings. The cabin has everything you need and the pizza oven was a great extra. The outside tub was amazing and we couldn't fault our stay at all. The host was extra friendly and very responsive if we needed anything. We never stay anywhere more then once but we would definitely come back here again.

Loved it. Everything we needed and exactly as pictured/described. Brilliant location for a relaxing couple of days of long walks, beaches and country pubs. Abi is a very responsive host. Would recommend!
