Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Dorset

Dave and Emma are the perfect hosts. They were so accommodating of our needs and super flexible in helping us to prepare for our stay and celebration. The property is beautiful, it’s peaceful and you feel right at home. Our teenage son and family children loved the games room as a ‘den’ to escape to whilst we enjoyed sitting on the deck with food and drinks. Dave and Emma have thought of everything, if they don’t have it then you don’t need it. The kitchen amenities were just fantastic, everything was there, clean and easy to use. The mobile signal wasn’t great this weekend and broadband struggled a little, but being surrounded by our favourite people, it didn’t matter too much. We would love to stay with our families again to enjoy this beautiful property. Thank you Dave and Emma again, so so much!

This place is the most peaceful setting, waking up to a view of the hills, the foliage, the sheep & the cry of the pheasants. It was great! Excellent proximity to trails. Close to town. The space was perfectly appointed, and had all the things we needed to stay comfortably with our 6 month old. I would certainly recommend if you’re needing a recharge in the countryside. And Tanya was quick to respond as needed.

Extremely peaceful and private location. The property is really nicely decorated with a massive comfy bed. Annie the host was really friendly and attentive. We had a lovely stay.

My friend and I had a fantastic, peaceful 2 night stay at Cecily’s lovely annexe. Cecily is friendly, very helpful but also left us to do our own thing and the annexe is very private. It’s very relaxing and has all you need. The beds are indeed very comfortable, I slept brilliantly. Somerton’s pubs and restaurants are just a few minutes walk away and we had a very enjoyable couple of nights out. We’d love to return.

Strides Barn was a lovely place to stay. Lots of amenities and plenty of board games to keep everyone entertained. Only slight downside was it was very hot inside the cabin and we did not seem to have any control over it.. Other than that it was lovely. Good views, plentiful wildlife and lots of areas to explore a short car drive away.

Lovely place, very peaceful and relaxing. Lovely gesture by the host with the bottle of Prosecco thank you 😊 Claire was very helpful and responsive to messages. Before the trip she sent us some information for things in the area, places to eat etc, was very helpful. Lovely little hide away, nice and private. Just as the pictures showed, Beautiful. Harriet and Gideon were so lovely, communicative, and helpful whenever we asked any questions about the local area. It was particularly lovely when Gideon put up a new swing and our 4 year old helped- Gideon listened and answered every question she had. The place is beautiful and we loved the cottage, which is spacious without feeling uncosy somehow. The grounds which are perfect for children and one sunset we watched our daughter play while we ate tea on our private terrace overlooking the tree-filled garden. Just a great experience and would recommend for anyone travelling to the area to explore and relax in equal measure! Thanks Harriet and Gideon!

This beach flat is just in the perfect location for exploring the beach, Rick steins and pig on the beach in studland (5 mins ferry ride). The number 50 bus takes you to all of these . Michelle was very friendly and met us on arrival and showed us around the flat . We would return x

Perfect solo stay whilst on a work course. The bnb was spotless and had everything I needed. Responses were quick and super friendly. I would absolutely recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area and I will most definitely rebook if I stay in the area again. Thanks for a great stay.

We had a lovely night at The Garden House. Ruth was a great host and left us to enjoy our privacy. The house was spacious and beautifully decorated. Very comfortable bed and fully equipped kitchen. Extremely dog friendly with lovely gardens.

My husband, 10-year-old daughter and myself have just returned from a truly amazing week, the property is beautiful, with facilities that far exceeded expectations. We had such a relaxing time; the beds are super comfy; led in bed looking out to sea with a coffee in the morning was a true highlight. The gardens are beautifully kept and being gated and private we had no worries with our daughter playing out. The walk down to Watcombe Beach, albeit steep on the way back up but 100% worth it; we took our paddleboard down and went swimming on a number of occasions, the water is very calm, on 2 occasions we were in the water and within 20ft off us were 2 seals! The hot tub was perfect, lovely fluffy robes provided to keep off the chill. We used the BBQ each evening and ate out on the patio. Susan is an incredible host, nothing is too much trouble, very informative and exceedingly helpful, she really did enhance our stay and made us feel as if we were staying in a home from home.

We had a lovely break away, the accommodation had everything we wanted and as described. It was easy and quick to walk into Bath centre while being in a very quiet street. Would recommend.

Stayed here for two nights and really enjoyed our stay! It’s such a cosy place, kitchen had all we needed and came stocked with good coffee which is always good! Living room was comfortable and though WiFi is ‘rural wifi’ as described, it was plenty quick enough to watch Netflix in the evenings. Bed was very comfy and clean. Bathroom spotless and with a bath my partner describes as a dream, she really did not want to get out of it! 100% would recommend and would definitely stay again. Great location to discover the surrounding area!

David and Pam was very welcoming.Stayed for 1 night enjoyed our stay very cosy everything we wanted and more... The bread and eggs was a really nice.The apartment was close to everything we needed.Would definitely be coming back and would highly recommend this apartment. We had a lovely couple of relaxing nights at Carol’s gorgeous apartment. It was just as described in the listing, felt so homely, peaceful and comfortable. Thanks Carol, we would be happy to come and stay again!

We had a lovely and restful stay at Peter’s place. Beautiful peaceful surroundings but still in reach of Lyme Regis & fossil hunting (25 min drive). The hut was clean & spacious and the hot tub was lovely. We definitely hope to return in the future. The nearby goats added a certain something & put a smile on our faces!

Have just spent a wonderfully relaxing stay at Woodyhyde Lodge with my husband and dog. Perfect place to enjoy the Dorset countryside. The lodge was pristine and spacious with all the comforts of home. We had variable weather so at times chose to stay in and chill until the rain stopped. The garden was completely safe for our Cavapoo, Lola, which gave us peace of mind. Emma was on hand with suggestions of walks and pubs with great food. The shop at the campsite was open for forgotten milk and breakfast. We did lots of exploring in Corfe Castle, Studland and villages around. Would recommend the Square and Compass atWorth Matravers for pasties and The Fox in Corfe Castle for its feathered beef!

I stayed here just recently with 4 other friends due to attending a friend’s wedding nearby. This location is beautiful, the photos do not do it justice. Everyone was pleased with the property and it really did feel like home. 100% will look to be returning.

The place was immaculate upon arrival. We were greeted as if we were family and were given some great recommendations for food and the surrounding area in general. My partner and I were more than satisfied with everything throughout the stay, I was especially appreciative of the welcome sign on the board when we checked in, and all the clear instructions and labels around the cabin that were really helpful. We loved the opportunity to get close to the animals, especially the Photo bombing goat that was featured in the listing. Overall, a phenomenal place to stay, and I will happily recommend it to anyone.

Absolutely fabulous 4 night stay at this location. The surroundings are incredible and we loved the that there was so much nature around us. The kitchen is very well stocked (loved that there was a slow cooker). Beds are super comfortable and bedding was lovely too. The hosts left very clear instructions about everything (appliances, wi-fi, hot water, keys and check out etc). We had some early morning wake ups from the crows tapping on the windows with their beaks (but this just added to the magic of being around nature - and meant we made the most of the mornings with coffee on the decking). Great stay!
