Beachfront holiday rentals in Dorset

We had a lovely weekend! Perfect location for walking to the beach and had an extremely relaxing time!

We just had such a wonderful week-long stay here!! I highly recommend the house for families visiting Lyme Regis. It’s a perfect size and location for a family holiday - we were three couples and our 4 month old baby, and we had everything we needed. Chris is a fabulous host; really responsive and he provided very clear instructions on finding and accessing the house. A bottle of local wine and biscuits were there for us when we arrived which was such a lovely touch! All three bedrooms are large, perfect for either couples or children sharing. The kitchen is big and bright with a lovely glass roof, its ideal for cooking big family meals. The sea views at the top of the garden are to die for, and it’s a beautiful spot for sundowners and a bbq! The house is in a great location as it’s a very short walk to the seafront and all the bars and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay so much and look forward to coming back again!

The flat was spacious and very well equipped. We overlooked the harbour and had exceptionally easy access to the beaches and coast path in both directions. We liked having a dedicated parking space; this was very close to the flat which made unloading easy. West Bay is very pretty so there were many photographic opportunities. The people living locally were very friendly. There's a footpath to Bridport which made a walk into the town on Market Day very easy. Perfect for us!

as a family we had a wonderfull 2 nights at the beach house we walked in and was instantly happy with how lovely the house was and the space it felt like home away from home even the little details like the notes around the house and the bottle of proseco

Wow, what a stunning location. It's every bit as beautiful as in the photos. We watched glorious sunsets from the terrace and enjoyed walks on the beach. I enjoyed looking around the immaculately kept gardens and could have watched the colourful koi in the pond for hours, plus the two cute horses in the field. Andrew's directions to the house are spot-on, please don't trust your satnav or you risk being taken down some very narrow lanes with grass growing in the middle and no passing places. Ask me how I know. There is no mobile reception at the house, as you would expect given the location, but the wifi is very good. Beds and bedding super comfortable.

We had a really enjoyable stay. Caroline provided good instructions on how to get there and the guide book then had lots on information regarding the apartment and surrounding area. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

I have just enjoyed a four night stay at Grey Joy. A beautifully presented and perfectly located cosy house. It has everything you need including a lovely outside space. Grey Joy is a few foot steps from Chesil beach and next door to The Cove pub. I could not have been happier with this little Air B&B

perfect location for walking with a dog, everything we needed was there, toaster, microwave, kettle, cutlery, and even bread, milk butter and jam was put out for our arrival. Highest recommendation, we will certainly return for another stay

We had such a fabulous time, the location is amazing and we enjoyed the beach, sea and fantastic sunsets. Lovely walks in both directions. Kids LOVED the swimming pool and slides. The Spar shop was handy. The caravan was the nicest one I’ve have stayed in. Shanice was really helpful and good communication and directions Thank you!!

We had such a lovely stay at Kate’s place. It was just what we needed…. Relaxing, peaceful with beautiful surroundings and views. The Chalet has been nicely decorated and has everything you’d need for a comfortable stay. There are activities onsite and lots to do locally. We especially loved our visits to Portland Bill. We’d definitely come back another time. Thanks for a wonderful stay. :-)

Our stay was exactly as we wanted. The location was great, right by the sea front. Some lovely local pubs and restaurants too.

We stayed for 3 nights. The holiday house was spacious enough to fit family of 4. Plenty of room to play for little ones. Very clean and well organised. The only improvement I could suggest would be to install slim dishwasher but it was perfect anyway. I would recommend and come back.

location was absolutely perfect for a relax and a decent walk everyday, we paddle boarded up the coast both ways and the scenery was stunning and finished most days with a swim in the pool. if you're after a close too everything place too stay this isn't the place for you but if you're looking for a break away from the world then this will tick all your boxes 🤗

A lovely stay here with great amenities. Sadly we were only informed of the snooker table being refurbished on arrival which was a shame but everything else was wonderful and thoroughly enjoyed. The pool was excellent. The hot tub on the balcony was a nice touch! Thanks Nina & Max

Was such a lovely stay, so lovely that I’d definitely know to come back to book this place if I was to ever come back to Bournemouth. I even told my sister (who stayed also) that I would have booked longer 🤭. My toddler son loved it too, had to keep an eye on him with the delicate plates and glassware as he’s quite inquisitive but all was ok. If I was being super picky, the bin in the master room had rubbish in it already once we arrived and there were kids toys which I thought was so nice but once I grabbed the top one to give to my son I realised it was dirty so I put it back. Overall would definitely stay again.

We really enjoyed our few days at Paul’s lovely property, so peaceful with great outside space to relax, we would highly recommend this location with access to all that Sandbanks has to offer, we will be back soon.

The perfect, far from the madding crowds Jurassic coast retreat: a comfortable and well-equipped studio, thoughtful and friendly hosts, a beautiful garden with sea views, and walks (and cliff scrambles to the beach) aplenty. Not a place to pop in and out of… come with food and drink for the duration! Inspiring, soothing, restful - would definitely stay again.

We loved our stay here. Lots of surprises, all in a good way. A special place and a really lovely corner of England. We settled in straight away. We loved the tortoise in her own , especially my son

We really enjoyed our stay at Sam’s place - lovely apartment and great location walkable to the beach and the centre. Loved that it was also located on the ground floor which made it convenient with our toddler and her pram. Sam was a great host, she was super responsive and proactive throughout our stay and the Prosecco was definitely a nice touch! We would stay again on a future visit to Bournemouth :)

We had a smashing stay at this flat with our two little ones. It was ever so handy having the high chair, cot, and a nice little collection of books and toys for them! It’s split level but a sliding door keeps the children from the stairs. The view was absolutely lovely, a real treat to wake up to. The beach is just a fifteen-minutes walk away via a cute little park. If you indulge in the massive ice-creams at boscombe pier you could take a short cut back up a steep rd to burn it off! The walk from Boscombe to Bournemouth pier with a pram was about 25 minutes. The landtrain that normally runs between them wasn’t working or perhaps just runs over the Summer holidays. The owner was great with comms, really thoughtful checking in to see if we were alright. All in all, a comfortable and convenient spot for a family getaway by the seaside. We'd certainly consider coming back.

Anna was so lovely, the place was too. Expectations exceeded, she really cares about her guests and the places she rents out. The apartment was so clean, modern and cozy. Loved it so much we’re booked to visit again soon and have already recommended to family who will be staying in the future. It’s not far from coastal walks and the town, peaceful, plenty of space to park. 100% recommend booking - breakfast hampers were a really nice touch, thoroughly enjoyed our stay, see you soon. J&C x
