Family-friendly holiday rentals in Dornoch

We stayed at Mackenzie House as part of a Hen weekend. The house was amazing and exactly what we needed! The surrounding area was gorgeous and we all loved being surrounded by the deer and other wildlife!

We loved our stay at Susan's property. Had all the amenities we could have wanted. great location and plenty of space for the full family! would definitely stay again and very grateful for the prosecco and fudge!

Kristy’s place was great. Had everything we needed. Comfortable, quiet, kitchen was complete. Hot tub was very nice!! Kristy met us at check in and it simple and straightforward. Would be delighted to be there again!

Fantastic place for a family get together. Plenty of space and great location. Linda was great to deal with and would highly recommend staying at Balnacraig. Second time there and hopefully not the last.

Wonderful accommodation and hosts. The location and views are amazing, the house itself has a great layout with loads of space and very homely. The garden is brilliant, especially for children and the hot tub went down a treat. Alan and family were very welcoming and gave some nice personal touches which were greatly appreciated. Would definitely stay again.

I had an amazing stay!The place was stunning,extremely beautiful, quiet, and peaceful with breathtaking views. All the amenities were exactly as described, and everything was clean and comfortable. The small town nearby (just a 10-minute drive) was charming and convenient for anything I needed. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

Truly “off grid” in the literal sense! It runs on batteries and a generator!! Despite it not having wifi we all had great 4G so never felt truly disconnected thankfully. It’s such a private place with literally nobody for a square mile or more probably. I would say in the winter you will need a 4x4 to access as it’s a mile down a dirt track! Amazing place and can’t wait to revisit :)

We had a great couple of days in Talmine. Jenny and Andy are lovely friendly hosts. The Wee Housie had everything as described and everything we needed. Very comfortable for us and our dog. The views from the front are stunning. Some great walks and trails around - we did Castle Vallich, around Tongue and then drove the loch. Great place to stop on our journey around the North of Scotland.

This was a great spot along the river to unwind after leaving the big city. Amanda’s place felt cozy and welcoming and had every amenity we needed, and more. One of the best stays we’ve had using Airbnb. Her instructions were very thorough and clear so I never needed to ask any questions. Excellent water pressure, comfortable beds, clean kitchen, and great view! Our stay was short but know if we come back this way, we’d book here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Bluefolds for my Dad's 70th. The view from the property is spectacular and ever changing, and you'd never get bored of that alone! Sue was a wonderful host, very welcoming and proactive. The accommodation has everything you could need for a stay there. Take your walking boots, make sure your pets are treated for ticks (as its on a sheep farm), and have an incredible time :)

We stayed here for two nights before our return to the states to relax from our three weeks in Scotland. Pictures do not do it justice. So close to restaurants and pubs in town and the beach. Small lovely town and everyone is so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Next time I will spend more time here!

A lovely stay at Blaeberry Cottage. It had everything I needed for a 3 night stay, very well equipped and very clean. A lovely garden for the dog to roam around. Would definitely recommend!

Back from another great stay at Priesthill farm. Steven provided us with lots of information regarding places/ sites to visit. It's in the most beautiful setting with lovely views. The house was perfect for our family of 10. It had everything & more. I would recommend this house always. 10 out of 10. It was perfect.

beautiful place. very spacious for us, a family of four. (we only ended up using 2 of the 5 bedrooms!) great location to explore the surroundings including loch morlich and cairngorm. kids loved exploring the garden and we found it great for our needs.

We had an amazing experience at this place. We were a family of two adults and two teenagers visiting Scotland. We stayed at the Fort Augustus Abbey for 7 nights to explore the Highland, lakes and islands. The apartment was large and very comfortable, inside an old abbey and its huge park, facing a large green field. The location is truly exceptional, directly on the banks of the Loch Ness, close to all facilities. Most of the apartment looked very recently renovated. The furniture and beds were great. The kitchen table and the living area furniture were clearly used but not at all worn out. There were some stains on the carpet but nothing bothersome. The apartment was very comfortable with a huge dining table, lots of space, two full bathrooms, very comfortable kitchen area, etc. The abbey was great overall, a very nice park for walking or just sitting around, table tennis, open-air chess, swimming pool, etc. By far our best Airbnb experience. A bit pricey but absolutely worth it!

The staff on site and host were very responsive in all the messages. I love taking an evening walk around the lake where it’s peaceful and quiet. Thank you so much for hosting us.

A cosy lodge in a beautiful part of Scotland. Plenty of space and the extra facilities in the games room and pool were great additions. It is in a remote location which may take adjusting to. The beds were comfortable, kitchen and appliances decent. Would happily stay here again.

Another wonderful stay here. Cozy, comfortable caravan with a beautiful, peaceful view. Spotlessly clean, great shower, comfy sofas, helpful hosts. Perfect for watching the world go by outside. Can't wait to return next year!

Great visit, accommodations were nice and rooms were clean. Our kids loved playing by the river and walking the trails. We had several lovely meals, especially enjoyed the boathouse restaurant nearby. We had an unexpected late arrival and the host helped us check in remotely without a hitch.

We loved our stay at the old abbey - we felt a bit like Harry Potter at Hogwarts. The apartment was clean, well equipped and very spacious. The abbey's outdoor area is a dream and the pool is wonderful!
