Family-friendly holiday rentals in Daventry District

Location was excellent for our purposes (in the center of the city, few minutes walking distance from the University, the market and the railway station) The host was a bit slow in responding before arrival in the UK, but issues regarding were resolved upon arrival at the airport. Overall the apartment was in good to excellent condition apart from some issues which were considered minor due to the relative short stay of 8 days. (One window was very tricky to open and close, the freezer needed some defrosting, one of the faucets had a broken drainer, no towels or sheets were changed during the length of our stay)

Puts the glamour into glamping. Very well equipped kitchen, comfortable living space with lovely log fire, warm shower with all the toiletries needed, topped off by snug bedrooms. The ragout on arrival far exceeded our expectations and the breakfast hamper is generous. Hosts are responsive, helpful and locally knowledgeable. Short walk to local pub is ideal with dogs. Wish we had more time to try the pizza oven and hot tub. We are already looking forward to our return visit.

Everything was just perfect. Very easy checkin, clear instructions on how to use everything, beautifully furnished with great amenities, loved that we could buy local produce too. Highly recommend staying here if you want to be at one with nature and have a few days to switch off. We will definitely be back!!

We loved our stay at this beautiful lodge! The pictures really don’t do it justice, it’s just on the edge of the property so no one is overlooking you and it felt totally secluded and private. We also enjoyed a few good walks and yummy carvery Sunday lunch at the Foxton Locks pub.

Wish we could go back on a regular basis, as this was an amazing stay for our first time to the UK. Absolutely would recommend! Thank you for a lovely week!

Lizzy was a welcoming host, we felt right at home. Everything we needed was right there. The countryside was amazing, especially if you enjoy birdwatching. We spent time relaxing in the wonderful hot tub. What more could you want for a weekend break.

We had the most wonderful stay the night before our wedding. Stephanie was having some renovation work completed on the property and upgraded us to her larger property which was so kind and such a treat for us all. The house was stunning and our guests felt the same. Thank you so much!

What an absolutely magical place! Our kids loved the games room and animals, the dogs Poppy and Rosie especially. Couldn’t have received a warmer welcome, able to accommodate early check in, all facilities incredible, and would come back anytime. Do not hesitate to book!

This was booked a few weeks before we stayed and suited us to the ground. Bicester Village was the perfect place close by to get to Oxford by train. Easy to get to Blenheim Palace for their opening Christmas Weekend and Festival of illuminations. The Property had everything you could wish for, air Fryer, Washer, Dryer, Dishwasher, Fridge etc Christmas really did start early for as we were leaving with over an inch of snow on the Green and then 2 hours driving home in a Blizzard.

Debbie’s place is homely and comfortable. Everything is in the cottage to make for a pleasant stay. We were able to park right outside and there is a just a short walk to town centre. Great value as well. Rohan.

Great location for easy access to Stow on the Wold, Bourton on the Water and several beautiful villages like Oddington and Bledington. Our hosts were very helpful and Chantal was quick to respond to our requests. We were a party of 6 adults and a three year old. The barn feels very spacious and relaxing. Large back garden with a little stream to the side which made it wonderful to sit out there to eat and enjoy the view. The barn is on the roadside but once you are inside you don’t notice that so much. We ordered the homemade sourdough from the farm which was amazing! Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful place to stay with great walks from the door and easy access to other Cotswolds attractions. The cottage was lovely!

It was a lovely stay at a beautiful cottage. The cottage was everything we hoped for a little two day get away. We spent time on local walking footpaths and getting to know the local pubs. Our recommendations are; The Falcon, Ye Olde Reine Deer Inn and The Blinking Owl over the road. The owners of the Blinking Owl were lovely hosts, really traditional English pub and great food from Sylvia! We spent our New Years Eve there and it was a lovely evening. Couldnt have asked for a better stay. Mary was super helpful and responsive on the run up to the stay. We hope to visit again soon.

The character cottage had everything that we could have wished for, and Katrien was a wonderful responsive host. It's location & the town are absolutely beautiful, and it's only a few minutes walk into a town centre that takes you back in time, with its wide range of proper traditional shops & restaurants. 10/10!!

From 1st contact, Patricia was quick to reply & friendly. Her lodge was spotless and equipped with everything u cld want. Welcome pack of bread / milk etc such a lovely thought. Flowers and plants around the lodge are absolutely beautiful! The park itself is so peaceful. Would definately recommend

Beautiful peaceful spot in the Cotswold countryside. The cottage is spacious and well equipped with great walks straight from the door. The pool was such a fantastic asset and really added to our holiday.

Beautiful property and use of grounds was amazing. Very relaxing stay with lots to keep us entertained. The Hammam spa was an absolute bonus. Also enjoyed a spot of tennis and croquet. Highly recommended.

I’d like to thank gardener Rex for answering all my questions throughout my stay. Without you Rex, it could have been tricky to communicate. Anyway, I and my family had a good time at Christopher’s place. It’s a place for both peaceful break or active sporting time. Great garden for a calm walk throughout a day, great pool with a hammam(a steam sauna), a tennis court…my family really enjoyed all the facilities. Also kitchen was really well equipped and a welcome bread and milk were delicious! Location was also great. Famous Cotswold big name spots, restaurants, farm markets are within 20 min by car.

I recently stayed at this beautiful cottage and can’t recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, we were taken in by the charm of the place – the cottage is tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, and filled with thoughtful touches that made it feel like a true home away from home. One of the absolute highlights was the private access to the pool. It was such a luxury to be able to take a dip whenever we pleased, without having to share the space, the booking slots was such a clever way to achieve this. Surrounded by lush greenery and peaceful surroundings, it felt like our own little slice of paradise. The cottage itself is perfectly situated for relaxation but also close enough to explore local attractions, shops, and restaurants. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. If you’re looking for a relaxing, romantic, or even family-friendly escape with a touch of luxury and loads of charm, this place is a gem.

We had a wonderful 3-day stay with my family at this beautiful Cow cottage. The place was impeccably clean and incredibly peaceful, offering a perfect escape. We thoroughly enjoyed the lovely swimming pool, we had a fantastic time. The nearby farm shop was also a delightful bonus, providing some great local finds. Wendy was sonice, helpful, and welcomed.

Fantastic stay in a fantastic place! The Loft was brilliant, everything we needed, private and clean. We made use of the pool, tennis court and gardens every day and enjoyed them all very much. Kingham is brilliantly located for so much in the Cotswolds, nothing more than a 25 minute drive. Owners were lovely and we will be back!

We have stayed at airbnbs all over the world (and own 3 ourselves) and this was our best experience. The home is beautiful - has every creature comfort you need - and the grounds are absolutely beautiful. From the pool to the Hammam to the gardens, it was simply outstanding! We ran from the house on the bridalways and went to the local organic shop, Daylesford, and enjoyed it so much. We will be back. Can’t recommend this home enough!
