Holiday rentals with lake access in Dane County

Adam was a great host and his McFarland lake property is wonderful. House has amazing views of the lake and has large gathering spaces inside/out for your group. We had 7 in our party and it felt plenty roomy enough for all.

Lovely home, great spaces for managing a group, loved the deck, very convenient for exploring Madison.

Our family loved our stay! It was quiet, peaceful, and in a great location relative to downtown Madison! There’s lots to do with the life of the city, and our stay provided the perfect balance of solitude. Definitely a go-to spot!

This was a very nice location in a quiet neighborhood and lovely home overlooking a golf course. The owner has paid attention to detail to make this lower level part of the home warm and comfortable. We have pets (dog) and having a yard and sidewalks in the neighborhood for walking and being outdoors was a real treat. The screened-in porch was a favorite of ours, too. The owner was very responsive and helpful and offered complete, simple, and thorough instructions for our stay. Would definitely book again.

We enjoyed our stay and the place was clean, comfortable and relaxing. The outside was beautiful and the lake steps from the back door.

The place was a perfect for a big crew! Having the duplex connect on the inside was ideal. We were able to have one kitchen for food storage and prep and one for drinks. We used it for a bachlorette weekend, but it would have been great for two families as well.

A great place to share with the family

Aleen and Joe are great hosts. So communicative and helpful from the start. They live nearby and are there if you need anything. This house is very special - it’s very large, spacious and historic. It’s a home from the 1800s with so many original features. It felt very happy and nostalgic to live here for a week. It may be an “old” house but the hosts keep every inch of it incredibly clean. The neighborhood is friendly and beautiful. The views of the lake from the front porch at sunset are breathtaking. We would love to return one day. This home made us fall in love with Madison.

Easily one of the best Airbnb’s we stayed in. I would highly recommend it to my friends. Especially for families with children. We stayed at Anja and Chuck’s place in late April for four nights. This was our first visit to Madison. We loved the place. Clean. Has everything. Kitchen was amazing and had everything we needed and we cooked a lot. Kids loved the bunk beds, the games and the piano. Feels very homey and private and designed with so much care and attention to detail. Loved the plants, the art, the books, the music instruments! Parking was convenient and the closed back porch was great for my early work calls when everyone was sleeping. Truly a wonderful place. Anja was very responsive and proactive. Everything was clear. Questions and requests were answered promptly and Anja was super helpful. Would definitely come back if we visit again. Thanks for a lovely visit!

Alexander's flat in Madison was perfect for our stay. Right downtown, a stone's throw from the capital, and about a mile from the heart of the UW campus, this home was fantastic with a beautiful view of Lake Mendota. The best part of the experience was how easy it was to work with Alexander. He was very responsive to every question, he was proactive about giving us information needed for an easy and comfortable stay, and he was extremely thorough in the information needed about checking in and out of the apartment. All in, this was a great experience and I would absolutely stay here again. Thanks Alexander. - Joe S

We had an awesome time at Debbie’s when we stayed in Madison. Her home is lovely and spacious! Everything was as listed, spotlessly clean and we felt right at home.

This place was wonderful!!!! Alexander is a wonderful host. He had so many amenities- kitchen spices, dish detergent, shampoo, towels, extra blankets- anything you could think of! Place was so fun- fabulously decorated! Kitchen had everything for us to cook a large family meal! Porch has spectacular views. Very walkable to everywhere. Host responded to everything we asked so kindly and quickly!!!! Wonderful experience! Celebrated our son’s graduation and would recommend to any other family to stay here- it was perfect!!! Thanks.
