Family-friendly holiday rentals in Coronado Island

We are so grateful to have been able to stay at Gwynn's place, it is so peaceful and lovely. Like a secret garden getaway. We loved all the small touches, and beauty of the space. Gwynn made us feel very welcome and comfortable! The pool is amazing and the outdoor spaces are delightful. Can't wait to stay here again.

Lydia was a very responsive host and was really easy to communicate with. We were a little skeptical because we knew we would be staying on the property where she lived with her family and were worried about privacy but the cabin is very private and although we naturally bumped into Lydia and her husband a few times, they did not spend any time out their back yard (where the cabin is located) for the duration of our stay so we had the place and the yard pretty much to ourselves which was great. We didn't realize how far away we would be from shops and restaurants. It is about a 20 minute walk to the nearby town so we did spend a lot of money on ubers but that was our own fault for not doing our research beforehand. Overall Lydias place is very clean and had everything we needed for our stay, she even had some stuff in the fridge and cleaning products which was really convenient. Thank you Lydia for a lovely stay.

Simon was a great host and provided more amenities than we thought! The decorations made the place feel warm and inviting. The walk to the beach was literally only a few minutes and we were able to walk to some restaurants and markets down the street easily. Overall I would highly recommend this place!

I had a great time staying at Thelma De La Paz’s place! The space was cozy, very clean, and exactly what I needed for a comfortable stay. Thelma was a wonderful host - polite, welcoming, and super responsive to any questions I had. Highly recommend!

Cy’s place was perfect for a 4-day getaway. It’s a 3 minute walk to the beach, and we enjoyed hanging out and watching the surfers. It’s walkable to so many places in La Jolla! We walked to so many amazing restaurants like El Pescador and Trilogy Sanctuary. I took a work meeting from the coffee shop on the corner, the courtyard, and the kitchen, and WiFi worked great everywhere. Quiet hours start at 10p so we stayed in one night and used the hot tub. The bed was super comfy and the shower head was amazing. Cy is very responsive, and I really appreciated his flexibility with finding a place to keep our bags for a few hours after checkout. It really was a wonderful experience!

We loved our stay here, the location was perfect and there were so many extra beach items for us to use. It’s a cute, cozy and safe home in walking distance to so many great places. Andrea and Larry were great, we would love to come stay again sometime!

This Airbnb was incredible. Any utensils, baby supplies (including baby spoons and high chairs), beach supplies, crockpot, etc you could think of is in this place. Really beyond expectation. It was. Great location in a great neighborhood. Neighbors were friendly as well. Will continue to book our annual trip here every year.

Our stay in Bird Rock was amazing. This rental was exactly what we were looking for. Super accessible to everything we needed. Short drive to beaches and restaurants (if you want to go further into La Jolla). Plentiful coffee, pastries, açaí bowls all around. It was great spending mornings on the roof top patio drinking our coffee and planning the day. 10/10 would stay again. Thanks Matt!

We really enjoyed our stay. So much it was hard to leave! Great location and easy to walk to nearby sites. It was so great to be back in PB again. I’d recommend Richard’s place to anyone!

This air bnb was the best place we could have stayed in San Diego. It had everything we needed and there were so many thoughtful touches. All I wanted was a Southern California beach vacation and Kristen had all of the gear we needed for that. We went to several beaches during our stay and it was about a 30 minute drive to every beach we went after waiting out morning rush hour traffic. Her backyard was my favorite part of our trip as we love watching sunrises and sunsets and it was so peaceful with great views. There is a lot of natural light in the air bnb as I didn’t understand initially there are solar tube lights throughout the unit which I thought were really cool. The air bnb is in a safe and quiet neighborhood and is a convenient location. The bed itself was very comfortable and we enjoyed being able to cook meals with a full kitchen and be able to do laundry. I would definitely will return when back in San Diego.

We loved staying at Wil’s place. The place was amazing, cozy and everything we wanted for our family. We loved the aesthetic, and the pool was so fun to play in. It was quiet but close to everything we wanted to do, so it was the perfect place to come back to after a long day out. The host and hostess were amazing, friendly and extremely helpful. We can’t wait to visit again.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful Airbnb! The location was stunning, with ocean views and the soothing sound of the waves—it was the perfect place to relax after a day out. There were several great restaurants within walking distance, and we loved being able to grab snacks from the nearby Oxxo, just a short 5-minute walk away. The host was very accommodating, allowing us an early check-in, which we really appreciated. Security at the front was helpful and friendly—they assigned us a parking space and made it easy to find the building. We did experience a couple of minor issues: the shower wasn’t draining properly, and on the third day, the door wouldn't lock. The host responded quickly to our messages, but unfortunately, no one showed up after we waited about an hour. However, the issue was resolved while we were out, so everything was fine when we returned. Despite those small hiccups, we had a lovely time and would definitely consider staying here again. Totally Perfect! Just a stroll away from Belmont! 15 min drive to the Zoo! A few steps to the boardwalk and the beach! Neighborhood was quiet and inviting! A very professionally maintained rental property. Felt almost resort-like in the organization (labels in the kitchen cabinets, reduced clutter, cleanliness). We loved using the outdoor items provided such as towels, tommy bahama beach chairs, surf boards and boogie boards. We were worried about fitting our Kia Sportage in the garage alongside a Tesla, but had no problems with either. We look forward to future trips here!

I was looking for a peaceful and comfortable place to relax and recharge and this fit perfectly. Anita and Brian are great hosts, friendly and helpful but still respected my privacy. The setting is also beautifully landscaped and the deck was great to have for relaxing and enjoying the water view. I can highly recommend.

Anthony’s apartment was just what I needed for my adult son and me. 2 twin beds in the living room worked well as another bedroom without the cost of a 2 bedroom. The kitchen is small but had all we needed to make bfast in the mornings. Helpful to have a parking spot in back and washer dryer in unit. I really enjoyed the location next to an urban park, pretty neighborhood for walks, and short walk to restaurants and coffee shop. Anthony was super helpful when we arrived.

A perfect place for our family during our short stay in San Diego. Clean, comfortable, conveniently located and excellent value. Teri also went above and beyond and we really appreciated her proactive help.

The apartment is, well appointed, spacious & complete with everything you could want. The gardens are beyond beautiful, with lots of interesting trees and shrubbery and even a walking trail around the whole property. The pool is lovely and child safe. We felt very safe, there was an entry code for the front gate and another for our unit. The whole house is located in a beautiful, upscale area.

If you're currently looking for a place to stay in the San Diego area and have kids, stop looking. This is the place to stay! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Carrie's property. Kids Paradise was ideal for our young ones, and thanks to Carrie’s thoughtful preparations, we had everything we needed for a comfortable experience. This made it possible for our children to have a wonderful vacation, while also allowing us parents to relax. I highly recommend this accommodation for families with children of all ages. We look forward to the possibility of staying at one of her other properties in the future.

The apartment was so close to all the restaurants and easy to get to anywhere within around 15 minutes drive. Tina was an amazing host and on hand to answer any questions.
