Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in Contra Costa County

This was perfect for what I needed during a weeklong research trip to UC Berkeley. Great location, close to public transportation for exploring farther afield/getting to campus and close to a great movie theater and restaurants! It is a "cozy" room but it was great for me as a solo traveler. Dan and Traci were very communicative and helpful! I highly recommend this place and I'd definitely stay there again if I return to the area.

Loved returning to Skate and Jeannie's place after first visiting 9 years ago. The place was just as great as before though it was lovely to see the new additions to their arty garden, including the outdoor bathtub. I must also give a huge thanks for their above and beyond assistance in helping us to successfully track down some lost luggage.

We stayed in the Sky room . Everything we needed was there, lots of personal details such as the home baked goods and Keurig coffee , just what we needed after our travels.

I booked this rental of behalf of family members who were visiting San Francisco for an extended 9 day stay over the holidays. Martina’s place is an easy 10 minute walk from my own home which made it a perfect location to have family close by. The rental unit, which is downstairs from the main residence, is as advertised and looks just like the photos. Upon arrival, Martina met us to walk us through the property and make sure everything went smoothly. She was super helpful and responsive to any questions throughout the stay. The apartment was very cozy and good size. One thing worth noting is that you need to walk outside (on the back porch) to get between the two bedrooms. This was not an issue but might be say for parents with small children. Each bedroom had a fridge and bathroom, so the separation actually provides additional privacy, if that’s what you are looking for. The outside space, particularly the hot tub & attached sauna were especially enjoyed. Great stay!

This place was awesome!! Such friendly staff and guests, we had a ton of fun hanging out in the ballroom, playing pool, and meeting other travelers. The room was a perfect size and everything was very clean.

This place is truly a hideaway in the Bay. The room was spotless, and the pictures in the listing looked just like what the room did in real life. Traci's treats were quite delectable, especially the brownies. I'm glad they checked in on us periodically, just to see if we needed anything. A really lovely place for anyone seeking a cozy place for a Cal game/event or a location not far from Bay Area landmarks.

Book Bruce's listing! He and Alfredo clearly master the art of hospitality because for them it is Art. The attention to details to make you feel right at home is simply stunning giving that you are renting a room in their house all the while feeling like you are in your own house with intimacy when you need it. And those sheets felt like cloud hugs! There was no part of this perfectly-curated house that we didn't linger in: from the laundry room, to the lounging areas and particularly the hummingbird-filled garden where we spent countless hours. We would meet in their georgeous dining room for breakfast and go on with our activities with ease giving the quick access to any part of the City. Our (very) late check-in was a breeze after a warm welcome and were able to check-out late too. We felt like this was an experience through which we initiated a lifelong friendship.

I had a wonderful stay! The space was incredibly comfortable, clean, and exactly as described. The bed was cozy, the amenities were thoughtful, and everything felt welcoming and well-maintained. The host was responsive, friendly, and made check-in seamless. It was the perfect place to relax and recharge—highly recommend!

I stayed at Lana’s for a month & I felt home as soon as I entered! Lana is extremely helpful & kind & is around to help with anything her guests might require. Can’t afford to miss her suggestions buddy. She was also kind enough to help me with my cooking, picked me from BART station couple times & we did share meals along! House is extremely convenient, just 10 mins from El Cerrito BART or 2 min cab ride. There are stores & cafes around for food & drinks. I’ve come home late night 2-3am & it felt totally safe. Lana has an amazing garden & I spent a lot of my time there. Extremely well maintained & equipped with all amenities anyone might require. If you’re looking for a stay in/around Bay area, think no further! I initially felt reviews are hyped & overrated, but based on my review now, we can conclude all are 100% true & there’s no doubt Lana is a SUPER HOST! Next time I visit Bay area, I know there’s a place I can call home! Thank you, Lana for being an amazing host!!!!!

What can I say about Lana and her wonderful house/hosting? I lived with Lana and a virtual UN of other limited guests for six months. During that time, I acclimated to being back in California, being a full time Dad again, and working/looking for a job. Lana's unique blend of cozy and extraordinarily (yet relaxed) helpfulness came through in spades. It's a community as well as individual preferences. One thing that always is present is love. Lana truly enjoys what she's doing with AirBnB, and I have yet to meet someone - past or present - that doesn't find her and her home endearing. Indeed, she has even become like a virtual Grandmother to my two children. (Psst - she also unusually let me throw a small birthday party - I dressed as Mr. Incredible - and a small poetry party complete with black beret for poem readers!) I could go on and on, but perhaps it is better to end here on one last note. I will be sure to keep in touch Lana for years and always treasure the time I came to live with and know Lana. I stayed in suite B, which was a little larger of the units. I found the space really clean
