Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Colonial Beach

This is our 2nd time being here and we were not disappointed! This house has a beautiful view. Pooja is a wonderful host. We were welcome with a basket of snacks. Kitchen and bathroom are fully stocked. Pooja provided more than enough for our stay and we had everything we need. House is clean and beds are comfortable. My family had a great time fishing and kayaking. Thanks Pooja for your hospitality!

It was peaceful and serene. I wanted a place to relax and let the issues of the world fade away. That's exactly what I experienced at Skip-A-Way Landing. The house is not only beautiful but it has a warm and welcoming feel to it. Like coming home after a long time away. Overall the house is lovely however the subtle touches throughout are also much appreciated. It's the small details that let you know that the owners put a lot of thought into it and care about its' guests. I did not want to leave. I'm already looking forward to going back. Highly recommended!

An incredible peace of property! This house has been beautifully renovated and exceeded every expectation. Unbelievable waterfront views from nearly every room in the house, back porch and fire pit. Also a very nice surprise of having a little play area stocked with toys for the little ones! This is a must stay if we’re ever back in the area!

I want to gate-keep this house so much!! If you are looking for a great house to hangout relax on the dock with a glass of wine eating crab chips then this is the place for you! We didn’t want to leave. Her home is beautiful, extremely clean, comfortable and the perfect spot for basically any size group. We kayaked, we road bikes, we made s’mores, we fished, we ate crabs at Capt John’s it was the perfect Cobb island adventure. Can’t wait to come back!

Extremely friendly and helpful host. The home itself is beautiful when numerous areas to socialize, yet still provide everyone their own space. The convenient location allowed for a quick walk to the quaint downtown area.

This was our family's second stay at The River House. We had another relaxing and fun week! Kayaking across to the state park is one of our favorite things to do there. We also enjoy shopping and eating in Leonardtown. We had one rainy day, but reading on the day bed with a beautiful view (in spite of the weather) and working on a puzzle were an enjoyable way to spend the day. We hiked out to Calvert Cliffs State Park one day and enjoyed lunch on Solomons Island on the way back. John's pet friendly Airbnb is such an awesome place to vacation with our dogs. One of them loves to fetch her floating stick off the little beach area and play frisbee in the yard (bring a long leash that you can tie to the badminton net poles). Our other dog loves basking in the sun in the yard and on the deck. There are so many great things about this place, but the sunsets alone are worth the stay!

We had a very enjoyable stay at this perfect River House. The place was warm and comforting, with some of the most amazing views you can find. We arrived shortly after check in time, and easily let ourselves in with the lock box code & key. Everything inside looked just like the pictures, and we weren't disappointed! If you're looking for some beautiful river views, right on the water, with your own private water access and dock, this is the place for you. We were in town for a wedding a few houses down, and this place couldn't have been any better for us. We were able to walk to & from, which was a huge bonus for after the reception...Cheers :) We enjoyed eating out a couple times in town, and really liked Brick Wood Fired Bistro & Traders Seafood Steak & Ale. We would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a peaceful river stay, and will surely return someday in the future! Thanks for your hospitality!

We had a wonderful vacation here. Although it rained during our stay, we found the treehouse to be a great place just for listening the rain drops and having some inner peace.

Really nice fully furnished basement with private entrance and a kitchen. The place was dog friendly and even had a small fenced in back yard that was great to let our dog walk around and get some exercise. Very spacious basement with washer and dryer. The hosts were very quick to respond to any questions.

We loved staying here! Leonardtown is such a nice community to explore and Haley’s place was in the heart of the good energy. The place was immaculate and had everything we needed to relax.

We wanted peace and quiet and that’s what it offered. Our children sent me for my birthday. We arrived at night so it was hard to see the address that’s when we realized others were on the property. Very clean and fresh. A few more kitchen amenities would have been nice. A nice touch of a birthday balloon and treats. We would come back again. Thanks

I had a fantastic stay at this property. The place was spotless, exactly as described, and had everything I needed for a comfortable visit. The host was responsive, welcoming, and made check-in a breeze. The neighborhood was quiet, safe, and close to great restaurants and shops. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Wonderful abnb in the heart of King George. Pam has been great with communication and understanding during a stay with my two younger children. This place beats staying at a hotel and I Would love to come back again. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
