Wow!!!! Great stay at AirBnb in Octocal Beach. We visited Costa Rica for our daughter’s nuptials and indeed our stay at this AirBnb was an unforgettable experience. It was an upscale home away from home. The service was excellent! The atmosphere soothing yet vibrant, calm, and relaxing. The rooms were clean, spacious with stunning views. The amenities were top notch and every needed for a home away from home was readily available in the home. We stayed for one week. We loved how peaceful it was and the pool was much needed. The monkeys are the highlight - they come and go without any bother. Could watch them all day.

Michael provided us with a beautiful home away from home for our first family vacation in Costa Rica. The kids enjoyed the pool and the adults had multiple areas throughout the house to relax and reset. The house was beautiful and the views were fantastic! The gated community made us feel safe and the staff helped us with whatever we needed. This home was apart of us making lifelong memories we will cherish. We had an unforgettable stay at this stunning Airbnb in Tamarindo! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how beautiful and well-kept the space was. The home was not only spotless and comfortable, but thoughtfully designed with a warm, welcoming vibe that made it feel like a true tropical escape. Every detail — from the cozy furnishings to the serene outdoor area — was exactly as pictured, if not better. What really set this place apart, though, was the host’s exceptional responsiveness. Anytime we had a question or request, they replied almost instantly and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Their attentiveness made everything so smooth and hassle-free, which allowed us to just relax and enjoy our time. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful getaway or a base to explore Tamarindo, this Airbnb is a perfect choice. We’ll absolutely be booking again — and we couldn’t recommend it more!

The rental unit was exactly as we expected from the listing. In particular, a covered area on the roof deck was perfect for watching the sunset. A few comments from other guests had given me the impression that it might be necessary to drive to get to local shops or restaurants. Although we had a car, we found that almost nothing in town was more than a 10-15 minute walk away. (That said, a car was best for a trip to the grocery store.) Jennifer and Brian were both very helpful and responsive, not only in addressing a couple minor questions about the rental, but also in giving some advice about the area. All in all, a very nice stay!

Our family absolutely loved our stay! The bedrooms were comfortable and we had plenty of room to spread out. The view from the pool was breathtaking! Lisa was super responsive and made us feel like welcomed guests as she gave us a personal tour of the house. We highly recommend renting with the Garrett group!

Thsnk you so much for hosting our group of 11. it was a wonderful vacation with the most amazing views. The layout of the house is perfect and communication with Edgar was perfect. The only comments is that we would have loved the windows clean. We will definitely recommend this beautiful relaxing vacation spot.. and be back!

Alex was the best host! He listened to all our needs and provided a full itinerary for our stay. We had a driver, Johnny, who took us everywhere and made us feel safe the entire trip. The house was absolutely beautiful—3 spacious levels that fit all 7 of us perfectly. The infinity pool was stunning and perfect for gathering and taking pictures. We spent a lot of time at the house and still wished we had more days. We had a private chef a few nights—each 4-course meal was immaculate. Breakfast was made fresh every morning by Alex’s wife and daughter and was delicious. One of the highlights was the 4 masseuses who came for massages and body scrubs—pure luxury! This was the most relaxing and exciting trip I’ve had in a long time. If you’re thinking of booking, don’t hesitate. You won’t be disappointed! They also have a second house next door if you need more space. We’ll definitely be back!

A nice property off the beaten path. It is a few miles out of Tamarindo with decent roads to get to the house. Beautiful nature surrounding the house. Carolina is very responsive and made our stay easy.

What an incredible place. It’s a few minutes outside Tamarindo and Playa Flamingo and worth the drive. The place has insane views and is so unique. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. 11/10.

What a gem. To see that view when you walk in the door is amazing. It’s a beautiful house with everything you may need for your stay. Beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked and the pool is exactly like the pictures with warm water and bar stools to gaze out over that stunning view. The AC & fans do a great job of keeping you cool as a retreat from outside. We also loved the use of the beach chairs, towels and beach toys for the whole family. Our 3 small children loved it! We will be back!

This place was very nice. The location was very close to the beach - walkable - and to downtown Coco. The pool was also refreshing after a day at the beach! The property seems well managed and taken care of - making for a comfortable and stress free stay.

I loved the container house! We went to rest with my partner and two dogs and it was amazing. I loved the pool and the deck too much. And I was fascinated by many details of the house, such as kitchen tiles, bathroom, sliding doors. Beautiful quiet place to enjoy and/or rest. I wanted to stay longer, so we'll definitely be back!

We had a great stay in Playa Grande with our 3 young kids! This home is great for families, and a good setup for multiple families or a large group. We stayed for a month! Elad and Carmit were just a text away to handle anything that came up quickly. The place is modern, clean and well kept! The outdoor space is wonderful, it’s an easy walk to the beach and restaurants, and a quick drive to Tamarindo or other beaches and activities. We can’t express enough how awesome the beach is here, not overly crowded like Tamarindo. Carmit helped book transportation, sent lots of recommendations and was just beyond helpful during our stay. We love Playa Grande and this home. Looking forward to staying there again and seeing Carmit!

Theresa and Darren were amazing hosts! our flight arrived at 6 am and we were at the house by 12. Theresa said that because they didn't have anyone checking out we could check in early which was amazing. we had a little difficulty finding the house but that was our fault and when I messaged Theresa she answer right away with a pin allowing us to find the house instantly! Throughout the stay Theresa and Darren were very thoughtful, responsive, proactive and helpful! Anything we needed they either offered for us to barrow theirs, told us where to buy it or bought one themselves for the house. Lastly, when our other Airbnb cancelled on us last minute they agreed without any hesitation to have us stay one more night. the location was fantastic, the beach was a 5 minute walk as described as well as downtown. The pool was a great bonus as well as the AC. Would definitely recommend and will without a doubt be going back! thank you for everything!

Casa Prana was absolute paradise. We just got back from an amazing trip to Costa Rica, and this house made the entire experience next-level. From the moment we arrived, everything was flawless—luxury at every turn. The beds and linens were unbelievably comfortable, the outdoor space and pool area were to die for, and the coffee setup was unreal—perfect for those early mornings before surfing or fishing. The house had everything we needed and more. It felt like every detail was carefully thought out, making it the perfect place to relax, recharge, and enjoy every second. If you’re headed to Costa Rica and want to do it right, Casa Prana is it!

We loved the home we rented in Costa Rica , Very safe and very beautiful. We saw a lot of Airbnb’s getting break In and getting items stolen , our host went above and beyond with security at this home . Fence in all the way around and with electric fence on top to make sure the home is safe for guest . The host went all out in the design inside and out . We enjoyed the pool with outdoor shower , the beds were so comfortable and the bedding was high quality. The host left us water and drinks . Very good at communicating. I wish I can come once a week just to give the host more of my money because we enjoyed it very much . Thank you!

Very big and comfortable house. Wonderful swimming pool. Lots of necessities provided such as beach towels, kitchenware. Neighborhood (gated and guard) very peaceful. Close to restaurants and Playa Hermosa beach. Highly recommend if you're vacationing in the Playa Hermosa area.

First foreign experience on Airbnb...Great stay! We enjoyed the villa, pool, and outdoor terrace attached to the bedrooms. Wishlist for the playa Conchal which is nearby by car. To relax and rest, it's a great place. Marie is very welcoming and quickly responds to our questions.

Our stay in Potrero was nothing short of incredible! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and care. Francisco was absolutely amazing—friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. Amy was extremely communicative throughout the entire process, always available to answer questions and offer helpful local recommendations. The home had everything we needed and was extremely comfortable—truly a home away from home. The pool was nice and refreshing, a wonderful addition that made relaxing after a day of exploring even better. One of the absolute highlights of our trip was the sunset experience in Las Catalinas and dining at Sentido Norte. Do yourself a favor and make time for both. The views are breathtaking, and the food and atmosphere at Sentido Norte are top-notch. We can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend this stay to anyone looking for an authentic, relaxing, and well-hosted Costa Rican getaway!

A 5 minute walk to the beach. 15 minute walk to the main road BUT you can uber from the airbnb to the main road/restaurants for literally only $3.95 each ride. Its a little difficult for people to find exactly (ubers and taxis) but its manageable for sure. AC was POWERFUL and we did not go a single night hot. Backyard was very spacious. Everything was clean. A lot of extra amenities like sunscreen, lotion, books, even Uno cards to play with. It felt very secure because it was gated both in the front and in the back. There was no door on the bathroom but my husband and I personally did not mind that. Water pressure is decent in the shower but nothing to complain about; every other faucet had strong water pressure. Quiet street and the most you’ll hear are the dogs at night. The airbnb was literally down the street from a couple of restaurants and a couple blocks away from a traditional Soda. Good overall experience, i would book a second time. Thank you!

Overall, our stay was great. It’s important to know what you are looking for while in Costa Rica. If you want a more private and quiet experience while still being close enough to some of the popular areas, this was great. However, if you want something that is more catered for tourists, like guided activities and all inclusives or anything like that, you might want to stay somewhere like Playa Flamingo or one of the other beach areas. Juan and Amanda were great hosts, very communicative and they had their property manager clean up the pool area a couple of times after the rain, which was considerate of them. Also, our favorite restaurant we went to during our stay was Hacienda Blu Beach Lounge. You definitely have to go if you stay at Casa Maraya!

Outstanding property! Easy check in and excellent hosts. Nelson and Briselda take such good care of the home and your group while you are there while remaining very unintrusive. Amazing property with direct beach access and walkable to multiple restaurants. Worked very well for a multigenerational family vacation. Hope to return in the future!
