House holiday rentals in Clayton

Well, my husband and I have stayed there on and off for the last six months for local work, so we know the place well. Sadly, our project has come to an end, so our most recent stay will be our last for work. BUT, we love everything about Todd and Barbie and the house, and we will be back for fun hiking weekends. Hiking, waterfalls, everything nearby. It's the best place we've stayed in the area. Private, squeaky clean, big deck, large dining room table for big meals or spreading out the paperwork, GREAT internet connection and TV options. We'll definitely be back on our own - we feel so comfortable there in every way. I could not recommend any higher - would give it a "10" if I could. Todd and Barbie also bent over backwards to help us with a couple of last-minute schedule changes. Such honest and thoughtful hosts. Thanks Todd and Barbie for EVERYTHING over the last few months. We love you guys!

Great place for large family gathering. 2 Main floor master bedrooms and 3rd bedroom are really nice. Basement bedrooms are great for teenagers/young adults. Outdoor kitchen & pool are fantastic. Great house for large group with plenty of places to hang out

What a great weekend! The condo was so nice with a fantastic view!

I couldn't be more pleased with my first AirBnB stay. The place was clean, inviting, and well-stocked. I wasn't expecting spices, dog toys, dog bowls, dog cot, etc. The fully fenced in yard, lake access, available kayaks, and privacy are the only things I wanted and this place sure supplied! the hot tub, outdoor shower, and firepit were huge bonuses. Also, met and talked with the neighbor who is super friendly 😉 I stayed alone the first half with my dogs and got my peace in. The second half a couple girl friends joined and we thoroughly enjoyed paddling out the this little island and throwing rocks, trying to fish, etc. Enjoying using the coloring supplies, games, and grill as well! It did storm most of the week, but even that was enjoyable! 10/10 experience for us all.

An excellent spot for enjoying the Nantahala National Forest, as well as having ample room and accomodations for guests and vehicles.

This is such an amazing place and yes it is real! Incredible views and wonderful stunning home in the mountains. It really was a memory I'll have forever. Matt was so awesome, he helped us get settled in and the amenities were so awesome🙏. Stay here and prepare to be pampered all the way up in the mountains! ❤️

We had an absolutely amazing time staying here, from the home itself to the outdoors surrounding it was exactly the peaceful, serene environment we were needing. The house literally had everything that we could’ve possibly needed cookware wise and even cleaning wise because although we were on vacation in a neat freak and with 2 boys the messes are sure to follow. Our host was so kind and responsive and gave us so many wonderful recommendations for things to do with our sons. We did not want to leave 💕 thank you so much for having us.

Kevin’s house is beautiful. Everything you could want in a mountain retreat. The location is peaceful and close enough to Clayton while still feeling far away. It’s a great place to relax. Kevin is an excellent host. Always responsive. His place should not be missed.

The cabin was very comfortable and well equipped. John was very responsive and helpful when we had questions or concerns. The views off the decks were beautiful, and we enjoyed the use of the hot tub after our day of rafting. It definitely took the chill off. I highly recommend his cabin and would surely come back. As far as suggestions for improvement, I think the trash bin lids could be secured better because we had a critter knock one over on our last day.

Our families enjoyed our stay at Lorraine’s place. The house was new and beautiful and perfect for our stay of 4 adults and 5 kiddos. The beds were super comfortable and the kids loved having their own floor. I loved the little girls extras in the house in the event you forgot lotion, toiletries, coffee etc. it rained almost daily, so getting wet wood to burn in the hot tub was tough, but once we had it rolling we were able to keep it warm for a couple of days. I enjoyed the challenge! The location is perfect and extremely private. Short drive to Clayton for dinner and super close to all of the state parks. We even ventured to Highlands one day. Easy trip. The hosts were extremely responsive and we would love to stay again. Beautiful home.

This was such an absolutely lovely stay! It was private yet 5 minutes from downtown with so much to do! As well as about 20 minutes from Tallulah! It was the perfect size for two people and our dog!! Ginger even sat out bowls ready to go for him! Stunning view, peaceful and a great price. 10/10 recommend! Thank you, Ginger!!

a fantastic country retreat set in a beautiful wooded lake community in the North Georgia mountains. I've been coming to the lakemont area since before I was 10 years old. My grandparents built a house on Lake Rabun in the 1930s. I never knew the Jacqueline Lodge was tucked up behind the village of lakemont. but there it was, and that's where we stayed. it is beautifully renovated and updated with everything you could want. can't say enough good about this place. Scott was very responsive to the two questions I had. I will stay there again.

This was by far our favorite AirBnB, ever! We would start again in a heart beat. Wonderful hosts with great communication! Even had an extra propane tank on hand which saved dinner on the first night! Loved the house so much, we actually cancelled our afternoon excursion just to stay in and enjoy games and a movie as a family. Great location! Beautiful views. Highly HIGHLY recommend this stay!

This house was just as described in the listing. So charming and peaceful!! It had beautiful views and it was so comfortable and felt like a home away from home. Alan was very responsive and helpful with any questions. Everything was well stocked and clean. The game room was a hit with the kids and kept them entertained for hours. Thank you for opening your wonderful cabin to our family.

This was the first time I stayed at Doug's listing. On previous visits to Clayton, I chose a place West of town but was not near as quiet and secluded as Doug's. My son and I met up there on our motorcycles for an enjoyable one-on-one vacation. The area roads are perfect for riding and enjoying the surrounding landscapes. Hope to stay there again in the Fall.

The house was absolutely perfect. We especially loved relaxing on the porch and gathering around the fire pit, but the sound of the river was truly the highlight. The home was beautiful, clean, and incredibly comfortable. Larry was wonderful, responsive and helpful anytime we had a question. One of the best places we’ve ever stayed. We’ll definitely be back.

The scenery was exact we were looking for. It was private and secluded but close to town. There was a place for us to turn around our 16 foot trailer, which really helped us select the place. Clean and comfortable. The waterfalls are beautiful!

The cottage was very nice. It was clean and comfortable. We had many amenities, more than we expected. The neighborhood was quiet, and close to town. If we were ever to visit Franklin again, we would definitely stay at the Windmill Cottage.

We had a relaxing, wonderful time. The house had great views and had everything we needed to be comfortable. We would definitely stay again!

This is the second time we've taken advantage of Ashley and her family's hospitality. We have 2 kids (5 and 7) and a dog. The house is PERFECT for those ages. The entire upstairs is full of books, toys, etc. Our 7-year old got a kick of the neon rainbow sign in her room haha. It was pretty chilly so we didn't spend a TON of time outside in the mornings and evenings, but the kids loved the swing set, and the fenced-in area for our dog gave him plenty of room to run around and be a dog. We absolutely love Clayton, too. Great restaurants/bars/kid-friendly places/shopping, all of it. We've even been scouting the area for property of our own. Thank you, Ashley, for a lovely cozy home, being an amazing communicator, and wonderful host. I'm sure we'll be back!

Great stay in Highlands! A few things to note - the mile drive after you get off the main road is gravel and there’s no service. There was also no Uber/Lyft but we were driving so no issues there. Just a couple things to plan for during your stay! Overall, amazing place, extremely clean, & great communication with host. Would 100% stay here again!

Everything was exceptional and I told so over and over because the place and the hosting exceeded my expectations which was her intent. She has brilliant touches in the home. Great kitchen for foodies. Warm clean blankets everywhere. Comfortable attractive inviting seating everywhere. A real gem. Will rent again. Inquire with Amanda. And rent from her as her vacation spot is unparalleled in my opinion.
