Perfect place to start or finish the Hadrians wall path. Staff were great. So much room on offer in their apartments.

Just had an incredible weekend break at Jenny's gorgeous accommodation. I have seen other reviews saying that the photos and description doesn't do this place justice and I totally agree. The lodge had everything we needed, was perfectly clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The views from the balcony are breathtaking!! The location is so picturesque, peaceful and clean and extremely close to Keswick. We took full advantage of the gym, swimming pool, sauna and hot tub, which was a brilliant way to start/finish the day. Also highly recommend the White Horse pub, where I have eaten the best chicken burger ever! Jenny, thank you for the kind and thoughtful treats. We highly recommend your place to anyone!! xxx

We booked this accom very last minute(3hrs before we checked in), and turned out to be a great choice. Having never heard of Whitbarrow Village we did not know what to expect and was very pleased to find this apartment was part of a larger holiday village complex. The apartment was very well kitted out and had all mod cons you would want, some cleaning products and tea/coffee bits,plus a nice outdoor seating area and close access to the pool and games areas. The main reception building was very clean and the pool facilities were fantastic as well as the kids games area & cinema room (9yr old with us). Only a 15 min drive to Keswick or Penrith made it a great location just off the A66 but so peaceful & quiet. Friendly on-site staff and well maintained garden areas. Overall a great little find and will definetly stay at Whitbarrow Village again.

A perfect base for the start of our Hadrian’s Wall Cycle adventure. We did a Solway loop to Silloth, then Carlisle and back to Bowness on Solway (around 56miles)

Lovely apartment for our Lake District stay. Clean, bright and very comfortable, it formed a perfect base for what we wanted to do in the area. It's on a holiday complex so we could sometimes hear other people from the lovely patio area but this wasn't overly intrusiv, and the view is lovely. We ate in the on-site restaurant once which was fine. There is lots of free parking and four EV chargers which we used twice. The attractions of Ullswater, Derwent Water and Keswick are within easy reach - on a wet day we visited the Keswick Pencil Museum which we have not got round to on previous visits and found it surprisingly good. Overall this is a very well kept apartment which formed a very comfortable base for our short stay.

Such a lovely apartment. We cannot wait to return. The Pilates/Yoga room was a lovely addition. The only things missing were waste paper bins in the living room and bedrooms. A washer/dryer would be a welcome extra, especially after a hike or downpour. Stylish and superb.

We went for a short break and it was lovely! The house was perfect for chilling out after a long day. Kitchen had a lot of things we needed and plenty of things to do even in the home! Perfect location, both towns either side of us with lots of options to eat and all within walking distance too. We were so glad we were able to stay here and hoping to be back soon! Absolutely stunning! Perfect get away and stay for the weekend. The views were absolutely stunning and the grounds of the hotel are beautiful too. So peaceful, you can really get away from everything. Unfortunately we didn’t get chance to explore too much as we didn’t have much time due to us taking part in the MacMillan Mighty Hike but we will 100% be back! The loft apartment at Bowness House Farm exceeded our expectations- in fact the whole courtyard complex did. The apartment was beautifully styled and thought through with an excellent kitchen area, spacious en-suite, very comfortable sitting area and bed. We loved the details and finish- in fact I wish we’d been staying for a week rather than one night. Michelle, the manager, was welcoming and helpful. She also cooked our delicious breakfast this morning. The restaurant is full of warmth and character and we loved the inspirational sayings from 20th century icons ( including Nelson Mandela, Bob Marley and Stephen Hawking), the sparkling lights and the general ambience. We also throughly enjoyed our evening meal there. This was such a beautiful place I’d cycle the 150 miles back just to stay again !

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Mark the host gave us super easy and clear instructions to get to, and get in the caravan which made things super easy. The caravan is absolutely stunning, so clean inside with absolutely everything you need, from plates, cleaning products, even a slow cooker and dishwasher. Everything was left for our one year old including a cot and blankets, and they even had bubbles, loads of games and books for all ages. The WiFi worked really well and honestly we couldn’t fault it. The site was lovely, although there wasn’t loads to do for the kids, they made use of the golf, football pitches and pool. The entertainment was decent and we even won £500 at bingo! Thanks for a lovely stay!

Excellent facilities in a quiet location. Very spacious accommodation with nice little touches. Ideal getaway, highly recommend. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. We will definitely return.

We had an amazing stay! The cottage was just as described and in the perfect location so we hardly had to use the car at all and were able to walk to Windermere, Bowness and Brockhole with our two girls ( 13 and 8). The use of the nearby pool was an added bonus after a day in the mountains. We’ll definitely be back! 😀

Myself, my fiance and our 5 year old boy stayed in The Old Bank and it was great. Mich was very quick to respond to any questions that we had and gave good local recommendations. The property was equipped with everything you could ever need and was clean and tidy. There is a child's sensory bedroom which is a really nice touch and our 5 year old spent lots of time playing in there. Despite the property being right next door to a pub you wouldn't know while in the house because you can't hear any noise from it. There is no parking outside the property because it's on the main street through the town but the railway carpark is only 100m down the street and is free. We never had any trouble finding a space. We would definitely recommend this to our friends and family. Thanks Jason, Marta and Henry

The place was lovel exactly as shown in the photos and described in the listing. It was clean, comfortable, and perfectly located for our plans. All the key sights around the Lakes were within about an hour’s drive, which made day trips really easy. The host was great very responsive and helpful whenever I had a question. Would definitely recommend and happily stay again.

Great place all-round. Everything was just as described on the listing and Dornu, the host, was incredibly friendly and helpful. A great place to use as a base for your trip to the lakes :)

What a place! There was four of us staying here and it was absolutely great for the price!!! clean and everything you need in the kitchen. There's lots to do in the local area but nothing telling you (so do your research before as Rydal caves are super close and its a lovely short walk) The house is super cosy and we couldn't have had a better few days with the weather. Thanks again.
