Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Mark the host gave us super easy and clear instructions to get to, and get in the caravan which made things super easy. The caravan is absolutely stunning, so clean inside with absolutely everything you need, from plates, cleaning products, even a slow cooker and dishwasher. Everything was left for our one year old including a cot and blankets, and they even had bubbles, loads of games and books for all ages. The WiFi worked really well and honestly we couldn’t fault it. The site was lovely, although there wasn’t loads to do for the kids, they made use of the golf, football pitches and pool. The entertainment was decent and we even won £500 at bingo! Thanks for a lovely stay!

We had an amazing stay! The cottage was just as described and in the perfect location so we hardly had to use the car at all and were able to walk to Windermere, Bowness and Brockhole with our two girls ( 13 and 8). The use of the nearby pool was an added bonus after a day in the mountains. We’ll definitely be back! 😀

This place was beyond our expectations. Immaculately presented, super clean, tidy, jaw dropping views. I can't fault it in any way and I can't rate it highly enough. Will definately look to return in the future. Stunning!

We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Badgers Rest. The home was beautifully clean, had everything we needed and in a great location. The facilities were amazing nearby too.

House was as described, beautiful setting with wonderful views of the hills and mountains. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds and bathrooms are nicely finished with good showers. Kitchen is a good size and has all required implements. A great location for exploring the central lakes and soaking up all that Ambleside has to offer.

A wonderful location for visiting parts of the wall. Comfortable, clean, spacious accommodation …could easily stay for longer. A very relaxing space after long days walking. Brilliant for the dog too.

We had a lovely stay here while visiting relatives close by. The house was clean and tidy, easy to find, well equipped with some great games which was handy for our two young children. Gemma was very helpful too. Would stay again!

We had a lovely stay at Hall Yard Cottage, the location was in a lovely village, friendly neighbours and great walks on the doorstep. The hosts left some welcome goodies which were much appreciated. The only feedback we have is that it wasn’t mentioned where we could park in the information pack until one of the neighbours told us. The cottage was very clean, dog friendly and we will definitely return.

Thank you for a brilliant stay! 6 of us stayed as we were competing in a fitness competition in Ullswater and the location was perfect. Close to shops so we were able to buy all the stuff we needed to cook and make full use of the facilities. The games room was good fun! Incredible views, especially at sunset and sunrise. The house was beautiful and looked after so well with everything we needed. We hope to be back same time next year!!

What a great place to stay! Easy to find, very simple check in, helped by clear instructions. The home is lovely, really thoughtfully furnished to feel welcoming and comfortable. It has everything you need. Kitchen is well stocked, lots of games and even some toys for the little ones, which my youngest definitely enjoyed! The garden and courtyard are lovely! Brampton is a great little town, a good variety of shops and close to lots of local sights. We explored Hadrian’s Wall and visited Carlisle Castle while there. Would definitely recommend. Thanks for a fantastic stay!

Stayed here for a night before our wedding in Gretna Hall with our family. Omg it’s the best self catering we have ever stayed in. Wood fire hot tub , beautiful garden, absolutely pristine and Dougie could not be more helpful. My only regret is not being able to stay longer. Definitely hoping to return for a longer trip. From start to finish the whole experience staying at Crook Barn was amazing. We were met by Patrick (And later by Beth) who is really friendly and he showed us into the barn explaining all about it, including it's history. The barn was immaculate and very comfortable, and the hot tub was brilliant. The location is idyllic, and if you're after somewhere to really unwind and relax, this is definitely the place to come to. The pub is only a short stroll away and everyone in there is really friendly. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, can't recommend it enough and will definitely be returning! We had a great stay at this property! The house was exactly as described—clean, well-maintained, and located in a peaceful estate. Everything was spotless upon arrival, and it was clear that the host puts a lot of care into the space. Instructions for check-in and house rules were clear and easy to follow, making the whole experience stress-free. The host was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay, which we really appreciated. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and reliable Airbnb!

A beautiful house in a lovely setting, great for family get togethers, location right on the lake was amazing, & easy access to lovely local town of Glenridding for essentials. Wide range of facilities at the cottage, we really enjoyed the private outdoor eating area next with the wood fired outdoor grill. Very nice well appointed kitchen with quality appliances, bathrooms clean and with quality fittings. Outside garden/woodland area was perfect for us and our dog, although the many steps and steep paths would not suit everyone, but this factor is clearly explained in the information host provides. We found some rooms a little dark, especially on a rainy day but there are some lovely lamps which can be moved around if required. Overall I would recommend this cottage as a great place to stay & enjoy the lake district and all it has to offer.
