Holiday rentals with an EV charger in City of Carlisle

Perfect little flat. Extremely well equipped. Everything seemed brand new when I was there. Central location. Spacious kitchen. Car park a few minutes walk away which is free overnight until 8am. Easy communication with owner. Very happy with it and would recommend.

Beautiful apartment stay in converted barn - located in small village with local Co-op shop only a 2 minute walk away, this was a perfect base for visiting the Lake District, lots of sights and great food within driving distance. Would highly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to return for another stay!

Just had an incredible weekend break at Jenny's gorgeous accommodation. I have seen other reviews saying that the photos and description doesn't do this place justice and I totally agree. The lodge had everything we needed, was perfectly clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The views from the balcony are breathtaking!! The location is so picturesque, peaceful and clean and extremely close to Keswick. We took full advantage of the gym, swimming pool, sauna and hot tub, which was a brilliant way to start/finish the day. Also highly recommend the White Horse pub, where I have eaten the best chicken burger ever! Jenny, thank you for the kind and thoughtful treats. We highly recommend your place to anyone!! xxx

We booked this accom very last minute(3hrs before we checked in), and turned out to be a great choice. Having never heard of Whitbarrow Village we did not know what to expect and was very pleased to find this apartment was part of a larger holiday village complex. The apartment was very well kitted out and had all mod cons you would want, some cleaning products and tea/coffee bits,plus a nice outdoor seating area and close access to the pool and games areas. The main reception building was very clean and the pool facilities were fantastic as well as the kids games area & cinema room (9yr old with us). Only a 15 min drive to Keswick or Penrith made it a great location just off the A66 but so peaceful & quiet. Friendly on-site staff and well maintained garden areas. Overall a great little find and will definetly stay at Whitbarrow Village again.

Great location just outside of grasmere - always a plus if you can set off on your walk from the doorstep

What a truly wonderful little place, there is so much to do for the kids and my two really did enjoy it! The apartment was absolutely stunning, spotless and also very spacious. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to book a trip away to the lakes be it with children or without. We will definitely be coming back!

What a beautiful place to stay! Thank you Jerry for having such a well maintained apartment - including a full kitchen so we could self cater. The whole place was also so snug and cosy and the bed was super comfy. Perfect place to just relax after a full day exploring! Fab location with stunning views overlooking fells - quiet area, barely knew others were about. Apartment well looked after, clean and tidy. Bonus having access to the gym, sauna & spa. Had a wonderful stay and would definitely be back! It was a lovely property with stunning views of lake Windermere. It had all the amenities we needed and was a short walk down the hill to the shops and restaurants.

The location is fantastic and there is another route if you dont fancy the very steep hill up to the property. There was enough space for all of us. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool table and hot tub as the weather was intermittent!! There was a small issue with the heating which the hosts responded to immediately. A great central base for exploring.

We had a great time (2 couples) and we would really have liked to have stayed longer but work gets in the way! Kath & Ken were responsive and always helpful but not obtrusive. Maybe a little expensive but you pay for what you get.

The drive to the cottage from easedale road, with around 5/6 gates, didn’t phase us at all. I wouldn’t recommend driving along the tracks in a hatchback, but in an SUV it was fine. Also currently in the middle of a drought, so no wet mud to contend with. As I’m young and fit I just jogged between the gates while husband followed in car behind. Check in was fine, the usual key box as with most Airbnb’s, which I prefer over a physical host. Cottage was great, lovely place, gardens and views amazing. It didn’t quite say in the listing, but the whole garden is shared with the other property - it’s massive so space isn’t an issue, it’s more that with dogs this means you have to be constantly watchful which isn’t relaxing - if there was a boundary like a small fence with chicken wire, you could let the dogs roam in peace with the doors open. The mattress was way too hard on the kind size bed for preference, and the other property had a 30 min shower at 2am so I didn’t sleep well sadly.

The venue is stunning, the photos do not do it justice! Everyone has everything the need in each room with their own en suite and the grandness of the building is something else! You have so much space, the large garden area wraps around back and side and is beautiful with stunning views! Everything you could need in the kitchen and welcome bottle very kindly provided by our hosts! Plenty of entertainment and eating areas! When leaving one of our cars broke down and they were very understanding and accommodating! Perfect location, made our stay extra special!

We had a wonderful stay at Andrew’s place. The house is full of charm, combining historic character with modern comforts. Everything was spotless, well-equipped, and thoughtfully arranged. The location was peaceful yet well-connected, making it a great base for exploring the Lake District. Check-in was smooth with clear instructions, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly. Andrew was responsive and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend this home to anyone visiting the area — we’d definitely stay again!

We’re just home after a very lovely stay in the most beautiful location. Louise communicated well and provided us with a pristine place to stay with everything we could wish for to make us feel at home. The apartment has the most amazing views from every room and is very comfortable and well equipped. There are so many lovely places to visit in the area, some walkable from the accommodation, that we definitely need to visit again. We had an absolutely incredible stay. The setting is unbelievably peaceful, with sweeping views of the mountains - the kind of view you just can’t stop staring at. The apartment itself is gorgeous — beautifully furnished, immaculately clean, and really well thought-out. Everything felt high-end but still cozy and welcoming. The whirlpool was the perfect way to relax after a day exploring. The location is ideal — very quiet and private, but just a short drive to the lake and local walks. We explored during the day and came back to total comfort and calm every evening. The host, Julie was lovely, really responsive and helpful, and clearly cares about making their guests feel at home. We can’t recommend this place enough — it’s the perfect mix of luxury, nature, and tranquility. Can’t wait to come back!

We stayed at the Buttermere cottage 6th - 9th April 2025 with our puppy. The cottage was lovely, homely and had all the amenities needed. We ate in throughout our stay and had all the basics needed. The cottage was clean, tidy and had beautiful grounds, only a 5 minute walk to the Esthwaite Lake. My only negative was no sugar with the tea and coffee provided, but that’s my problem - I need to grow up and cut the sugar lol. Being serious, we had a gorgeous time. I would definitely recommend staying here, especially with your four legged friends.

Great location, cozy apartment, helpful and friendly hosts. The apartment was exactly as advertised and was spotless. Only an easy 10 minute walk to Keswick centre. Would recommend!

Our week in this lovely apartment sped by too quickly! It was beautifully decorated with cosy lounges and chairs and very comfortable beds. The kitchen had more than we needed and all appliances were easy to use. The location was faultless - everywhere was so accessible from here! Pubs, cafes and restaurants were just across the road - where we headed after long hikes each day. We felt very sad to leave and look forward to returning one day soon 👍👋❤️

We really enjoyed our stay here at Whitbarrow. The apartment was lovely, with the special addition of the balcony overlooking the beautiful views, which we enjoyed with a cuppa or two. Our boys loved the toys and the drawing that was available to play with but, of course, their highlight was the pool. Local distance to Lowther, buttermere, Penrith, pooley Bridge, Keswick etc so lots to do. We’ll be back soon! 🙂

Lovely house, was just what it said on the label ! Lovely walks nearby and country parks 20 minutes drive away.

Close to town, clean and large bedrooms and bathrooms. Comfy mattresses. For common space it's good to be able to use one of the rooms.

Absolutely stunning! Perfect get away and stay for the weekend. The views were absolutely stunning and the grounds of the hotel are beautiful too. So peaceful, you can really get away from everything. Unfortunately we didn’t get chance to explore too much as we didn’t have much time due to us taking part in the MacMillan Mighty Hike but we will 100% be back! Thanks Colin for all of your help, your place is beautiful!
